    Bore da Sean,
I love Sunday mornings watching your videos & this one was so lovely. It’s crazy to think those woods are so young but are being invested in & promoted so well. Here in North Wales Anglesey (YnysMon) council want to turn an ancient forest that is so treasured by the locals into a holiday park with chalets, how nuts is that, they obviously haven’t got many wise folk at the helm who can’t see the harm this massive project will do to wildlife & the community in general. They need to learn The Lesson Of Time -
When a bird is alive, it eats ants,
When the bird is dead, ants eat the bird,
Time & circumstances can change at any time,
Don’t devalue or hurt anything in life,
You may be powerful today, but remember
Time is more powerful than you,
One tree can make a million matchstick, but
It only takes one matchstick to burn a million trees.
Our councils need to leave our beautiful forest alone.
I hope you have a fab day.

Lovely to see the photo of the fair on the Baglan field. It was a big one and stayed there for two to three weeks in 1975. They had a boxing booth that challenged anyone to go a round or two for money. Billy Miller, the local tough man who used to ride his horse cowboy style and tether it outside the Baglan pub made short work of their champ and walked away with the money. Fideo gwych!

Thank you Sean for the walk in the woods now I am energised 😊. Where I live the mountain in Crynant we have wooden benches here and there and wood carvings out of the trunks of the tree and there is a piece of the ancient Roman road left . A little bit of history. In Banwen there is a road called ROMAN ROAD. EVERY 11 miles there was a wooden fortress all the way down to Crynant To Neath town to keep the rebellious Welsh in line . And also in Banwen there is a legend that St Patrick was born there and a memorial stone with a plaque on it and they still celebrate St Patrick's Day in Banwen. I must say those cakes 🍰 looked really tasty 😋 with a nice cup of tea ☕ 🫖 .

The singing bird sounds like the robins where I live. Spring is here! 💜
Also, to tell the difference between hemlock and fir trees is the old saying "hems have stems". Fir tree needles attach differently than hemlock needles. My family worked in the forest industry in BC for years, so I was taught that at a very young age. 😊

Be nice. Maybe a calendar some day or notecards. Is there much tourism there? I was thinking one of the shops might want to carry your work. We have co ops here and art galleries as a resource to sell work to locals and tourists. I watch Kate at the last homely house and she’s done quite well with her little books and notecards and calendar etc. she now has another channel for the gardening end of things. I think you’re going to find your channel grow and sustain itself. Im really happy for you.

Please hug your cats for me. My cat passed away Jan 28th she was 15 years old and when Fi died my heart broke .Fi was given to me to by my sister a few years before my sister died. I am sure my sister brought my sweet sugar kitty Fiona she was so sweet Anyway my sister helped Fiona over the Rainbow bridge. Thank you for hugging your kitties for me. I am an old lady now and love cats. My health is not good so I love other people’s cats .thank you for all you do to bring goodness in the world .your mom and dad brought you up right Sean .

Thank you for sharing this video Sean. Loved the scenery in the woods. The part near the end, the tall trees stood up straight as pencils. Never seen trees like that before. 👍😊

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood. Robert Frost. Made me think of that.

Hi Sean, watching you hiking on the mountain brings to mind a song we had to sing to warm up our singing voices when I was in primary school, Happy Wanderer, maybe you used to sing this also. It good to see designated paths for bike. Thanks

Another interesting video Sean. Love hearing the history of your area and especially enjoy the parts where you insert a picture. Good on your Dad for taking part of flattening that coal slag. A very dangerous way of getting rid of the slag.
Did you ever make your Welsh cakes Sean? Was thinking of you yesterday because I decided to make a batch after listening to your last t video. I would certainly buy pics if you decided to sell them. My Grandma came from your area. They would have very special meaning to me.

The old pics and vids interspersed with the present day shots make these vlogs magical don’t they? I could watch this all day. Sean deserves an award from the welsh tourist board, he’s put this area on the map for a visit by me and my 2 and 4 legged friends 😊
