For painting eyes i usually use a nice fine brush with even flowing white paint, just take your time and let the white paint even out when drying, but i use gloss white enamel so might be different. For pupils i use a similer tool like you do, im not sure what mine is called but its some sort of knitting bobber thing
4:37 i gotchu man When painting eyes I reccommend just painting it even if it goes outside the socket, you can always go back later and scrape off excess paint around the eyes carefully, granted I do it with trackmaster which is slightly larger but it is VERY doable with wooden railway and it's not too difficult once you've got it down!
Even though this custom is roughly 7 years old I think it still looks pretty good although I would love to see the improved version in the future. Although one of the things I wish you would explain to was how you do your lining even though I'm sure the answer is masking tape it's always a mystery to me on how your lining is just so crisp and so good! Now as much as I would have loved to see your Culdee fell engines or talylynn engines judging by the end of this video looks like we're going to be taking a look at Jock next. Keep up the good work man and I can't wait to see the next custom video.
