- Here are my most requested engines to discuss, my Culdee Fell Engines! As you can see, this is just part 1 of my showcase of these models, and I have plenty more to talk about. Please leave a comment or a question about anything I might have forgotten to talk about, and I'll be sure to answer it in part 2!

You have such a talent for scratchbuilding. As a scratch builder myself, I fully understand the time and effort that goes into finding all the right pieces to put together, as well as the inevitability of trial and error.

I think these are the best wooden railway customs I have ever seen! I love the insane intricacies you put in them. The indent for they’re side rods with the pistons and the side rods themselves. The amount of effort put into them shines through, and you should be very proud. (Also purple is my favourite colour)
You have an incredible talent for these. If you ever took commissions, I can guarantee you’d be in high demand. Lovely work!
The whole fleet looks astounding. Scratch building them really allowed for unlimited freedom to make them to a whole different level. Well done man!
I'd love to see how you went about choosing the front faces in part 2.

These customs are so cool I can never make something like this. Although I might generally give it a try with the superheat engines as I don't want to use 2015 Culdee's. I'm looking forward to see you cover Patrick, Alaric, and Eric next keep up the good work man

Lego pieces seem to be man’s best friend when it comes to Thomas Wooden Railway customs.
Also, as a hot take I think wooden railway customs NEED to be taller, the added height adds so much more accuracy and character to a model. So glad you made them talk! It looks so good. And if they ever have to interact with Gordon, just make a big Gordon ;)
I don’t know if this is an unpopular opinion, but I hate how the mountain engines have two faces. Same goes for the idea of the diesels having two faces; one at each end.
If I ever make my own mountain engine customs, I think I would only put a face on the back since their front face will always be blocked by the coach anyway meaning the engines are still unusual, but I don’t have to wrap my head around how someone can literally have eyes on the back of their head and still be able to understand what they’re looking at
However, putting aside my own grievances about the mountain engines these are really impressive customs!
Edit: by the way, don’t even worry about the proportions. Wooden railway has never been 100% accurate with the proportions anyway. If the model looks good, you like it, and represents, the character is supposed to then that’s all that matters.

Hey Arthur, I’ve been looking around eBay for unpainted twr tankers, and I was hoping if I sent you supplies and the tanker, you would custom make a prixton chemicals tanker car from the movie unstoppable (2010). This is basically an American style tanker car. Ones that I see every day.

Btw there is a character called lord harry and then also a custom Roblox character called ted ( NOT MADE BY ME LOL) but yea you could try to do them!
My main question is given their height how well do they fit through tunnels?

@@arthurthelmsengine6855 I had a hunch. Not that I think it really mattered too much. Last I checked the Culdee Fell railway didn't really have any sort of tunnels. Then again having them on flatbeds probably would have been a pain.

The skarloey you had is part of the led paint crisis oh no 🙊 😮 use the 2013 skarloey and do not use the skarloey from the led paint crisis.
I wouldn’t worry about the height difference they hardly are ever at a place with standard gauge engines anyway.
