WOW, outstanding information 👌. There's many people who appreciate your time and opinions on these two excellent pistols by Bul Armory. This video of yours is being shared by my husband to approximately 225 LE associates. There's a serious discussion on the Bul Armory and another manufacturer. Hopefully many of these associates subscribe to your channel. Outstanding video 😁 Both of you have a great day 😁🙏
Thank you for this video. I think you should have talked more about the effect of the weight on the every day carry comfort. The weight difference is HUGE and makes the shooting capabilities differences worth it foer EDC. For competition I would take the TAC.
@@gbgunsmedia yeah and also for the UL. The main page says 'coming soon' still and the tac models seemed to to released only, which the 4.25 and 5 tac are still available
Thanks GB 🫡 just found this video. I had only seen the old style 4.25” with the short dust cover before. Now I just need to talk them into an external extractor and it’ll be my top pic for next 2011 style gun to buy. I was gonna go with the Kimber KDS9C railed model, until I saw other owners examples and wasn’t too happy with the slide to frame and barrel fitting quality. Another great review brother. I like it when you ask your wife all the right questions to get her views on it and also to help other women understand and make decisions.
I have run a similar drill between my Bul Armory EDC and my Stealth Arms Platypus (Platypii?). The Platy with the bushing barrel has so far "won" every time with the Bul Armory and bull barrel Platypus swapping between 2nd & 3rd place. Since I have more trigger time with the bushing barrel Platypus I suspect it is mostly a matter of familiarity and all three pistols are probably equals. I know I don't plan to let any of them leave my collection.
Great video! I love the drill. Graham, you really burned it down. Those Bul Armory 2011's are really something. I'd love to see your thoughts on the 5 inch model.
Full dust cover looks much nicer. For full length guns I prefer steel as well. The only issue I have with Bul Armory is how difficult it is to buy one. I'm still waiting to be notified when the new Ultralight Pro becomes available again.
I have a couple of Buls. You just have to be patient. I kind of enjoy their unobtanium status. Spend the cash for something like a staccato and every second guy at the range is pulling one out of his bag.
@gbgunsmedia Outstanding review as always! A few questions for you if you don't mind regarding my new Bul Armory Tac Pro 4.25/ported: 1) Have you found the PVD finish to be difficult to Polish clean? Mine seems to chew up cleaning cloths (even fine linen handkerchiefs) leaving a heavy film of lint behind and in crevices that is hard to remove. Scratches easily also. 2) Plated ammo is a no no due to the ports per Bul... I'm having difficulty identifying which range/target 9mm ammo is non-plated. Looking for high accuracy at 25+ yards and enough gaseous punch to put those V8 ports to work without spraying plating shrapnel through them. Your thoughts, experience, and suggestions are always most appreciated!!!
Thanks for the comparisons! It sucks because I bought the gen 1 sas 2 pro and the new gen 2 sas 2 pro has some nice upgrades for the price. Did you notice a big diff between the older and newer pro models?
Different animals. Talking metal framed 2011s to a polymer race gun with a rotating barrel. But I'd guess the X Cal and X Trim would do as good but differently.
They are all options. This has me considering doing another test like this but a mashup of different competition-grade guns. Part of the validity of this test though was that it wasn't practiced and was a completely new drill so we had no memorized cheats to cause bias.
Just curious if the “adding a light trick” makes the aluminum edc feel as good as the tac just because of added weight or does the steel frame soak up the recoil better anyway?
Aluminum technically "soaks" recoil better as it is less stiff, but in this case it's the added nose weight that helped fight muzzle flip. A 5oz light might do the same for the EDC that the extra 5oz of wieght does on the TAC.
Extra mags, optics plates, more machine time, base plates all total MORE than the price increase and if you go with a common Stacatto (they made almost as many pistols in 2022 as Diamondback) then you still have to pay more for the optics plates and mags.

Really enjoyed this episode!
Was fun watching their website sell out during the last batch of 4.25 offerings. Took about 4-6 hours
Got my availability email notification and placed my order for the 4.24 Tac Pro instantly 😅
@@larryp6671 i didn't get no email on the edc. At least not the edc pro
were you signed up for the EDC Pro?

The pro was sold out by the time I noticed a couple of hours later. Bummer now if the new magazines will come in stock too.

Great job thank you so much. Thank you.
The Tac Pro 4.25 is a Tac Driver. Crazy accurate. Waiting for the 5 to come back in stock.
@@ChrisSullins I haven't tried any of the Pro models
I still feel they should have given them to you for FREE!!! ❤ you videos.
Nothing is free in my world. I'm not an "influencer"
Ignoring the price gap, how does this compare to a Grandpower?
So, what would you rather carry? Weight vs performance?

I've never tried the pro models. I'm a defensive shooter, not a competitor, so comps are something I try to stay away from.
I want to see these compared to MPA.
Compared to an Excalibur co. ??

@richdubbya big difference in price. Start USPSA. Thinking about a Canik Rival S too.

Thank you. Great video. Will Bul accept body parts in exchange?
5” pro is on the way. Pretty much no aftermarket grips without a ton of fitting, right?
Neither model demonstrated were 5" or PRO models. I don't know about aftermarket grips, I don't see a need for them.
@@gbgunsmedia I have the 4.25 EDC, just stating that they restocked the 2024’s. The grips are good but just asking.
