  • American Muscle Series: Reviving the Legend: '80s G Body Sports Cars
The American Dream. The promise of a good life for anyone willing to push limits, work hard, and do the impossible. To chase this dream, you need grit, desire, and, most importantly, speed! This was the understanding of the average American in the 60s, so it was no surprise that between the 60s and 70s, America held the world in a chokehold when it came to performance and muscle cars.
In today's video we look at Reviving the Legend: '80s G Body Sports Cars...Keep watching to see 1980s sports cars, GM nostalgia, Monte Carlo, Buick T-Type, and the grand national

The 1987 Buick Grand National GNX is legendary and yes the company McLaren had a significant hand in the development of this magnificent 80's monster, but sadly Bruce McLaren passed away years earlier in 1970. He was doing what he loved to do, testing his Can-Am race car on a track (Goodwood Circuit) in England on June 2nd, 1970.

Regal T-type started in 84, formerly the Sport Coupe which was the same 3.8 block with carburetion instead of fuel injection. Owned one until the cold air units came out in 86.

@@captivecombustionThen the title should be our favorite G bodies, not the history of the G body. 😮

You're way too optimistic about those cars. Of course they had great engines but the platform itself hadn't been properly desingned for a race car.

I just found this video. Are my ears deceiving me? Is that the late Joe Elmore narrating this video?
