      +Bharat Gohel Thank you Bharat ji. The Male Vocals is singing in D class and is rendering raag Shubhapantuvarali (equivalent of miya ki todi in hindustani style) and the female vocals is A scale and is rendering raag Lalit.

    I have no right to ask neither I want to hurt anyone's feeling but isn't Lalit going close towards Todi rather than being Lalit? Or is the name of this video is "Todi & Shubhapantuvarali"? Please forgive me if I'm wrong. Thanks a lot.

    • @samya1947
      @samya1947 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I searched about it and apparently Shubhapantuvarali is a south Indian raga resembling Todi. The lady is singing raga Lalit. Lalit is singing Shubhapantuvarali, which is Todi! Confusion over names of singers and ragas! :D

      yes it must be todi instead of lalit since she used the typical sa re ga line in which komal rishabh and komal gandhar are andolan ie sung strongly with little oscillations, nevertheless the jugalbandi is incredible. listen the other jasrangi jugalbandis also - dharmavathi and madhuvanti, kalavati and abhogi, natbhairav, bhairavi and sindhubhairavi.

    I repeatedly played this and carefully listened to -- I strongly feel the Artist on right ( who sang Hindustani style rag Lalit) was little less trained and wanted to prove herself by repeatedly interjecting which was irritating .. Carnatic raga ShubhaPantauvarali came out extremely well with professional like Mrudangam saati. There are many Swami TYAGARAJA krithis on ShubaPanthuvarali on Lord Rama which literally brought you into tears -- In Kannada movie HOSA BELAKU Dr. Rajkumar sang one song KANEERA DHARE which is very apt for the movie and Raga was superab.

    I have the same question as Anirudha Thidekae. Its Hindustani Thodi and carnatic S panthuvarali. Not Lalith. But simply blissful God bless you two. And thank you 🙏🏾

    • @samya1947
      @samya1947 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ma'am isn't it a Jasrangi Jugalbandi with the male and female singing two ragas in different scales? Since Lalit is Todi (Shubhapantuvarali) shifted by six notes?

      Shubhapantuvarali is the Carnatic equivalent of Hindustani raag Todi
      The Carnatic Raga Todi is different tho... Idk which one you're talking about

    Could have been better if they had sung in tandem one after another rather than over lapping each other. In jugalbandhi it is important to accomodate and complement one another instead of showcasing oneupmanship . (((
