    Brilliant piece... Divine and God bless. Here is my understanding...
    He starts off with Brndavana Saranga (BS). Transposing Ma of BS as Sa, she elaborates in Suddha Saveri.
    At about 4.04, he swiftly moves to Mohanam. Transposing Pa of Mohanam as Sa, she still maintains Suudha Saveri.
    At about 6.15, she glides into Chandrakauns. Transposing Ma of Chandrakauns as Sa, he elaborates Sumanesa Ranjani (SR aka Madhukauns). The Swara rendering here is brilliant. For the same swarasthanas, they render different Swaras as per Chandrakauns and SR respectively.
    Finally, she comes back to Suddha Saveri and he too returns to BS.
    Wonderfully conceptualised and composed.

    Just happened to hear this wonderful performance.. Cannot believe they are kids. Aditya is looking like Abhishek's younger version.. Voice, talent and passion.. Ditto.
    Shivani brings out Hindusthani type flavor in her portions and as a combo it was magical. Particularly when they migrated to madhukauns. And the swaram portion was all excellently planned.
    I am going to hear this over and over, fresh voices, maturity of singing, what a blend.
    Appreciate the accompaniments too. Big thanks to all. Love you all.

I dont know the names of hindustani raags used. Dear IndianRaga, please look into this and make the required addition. Thanks

    Raagas: Jog and Brindavani, Mohanam and Bhoopali, Chandrakauns (and back to Jog/Brindavani). Can someone please verify this?

    • @Rama-Rama74
      @Rama-Rama74 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Avinash Mohan Brindavana Saranga not Brindavani and Madhukauns not Chandrakauns. Rest is correct

    • @avimohan6594
      @avimohan6594 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh, thanks! I didn't know about 'Madhukauns'! :) But I think it should be Brindavani, since one cannot have a GrahaBhedam from Brindavana Saranga to Jog. On the other hand, Brindavani to Jog and back is quite a famous GrahaBhedam.

    • @avimohan6594
      @avimohan6594 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also notice the N3 in Aditya's portion. Brindavana Saranga has only N2, while Brindavani (aka Malhar) has both N3 (arohanam) and N2 (avarohanam).

    • @Rama-Rama74
      @Rama-Rama74 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Avinash Mohan Well, my skills are primitive based on correlation and not scientific (can't decode the tones into constituent swaras). So it sounded like the Brindavana Saranga I have heard which may be wrong technically (will be great if the singers can clarify).

    anyone could, please, kindly explain why at the end of this piece she sings many same notes he sings but with changed nomes? many times she sings "sa" naming it as "pa"... or "ni" as "ma"...... Then when he sings it, he name the notes correctly.... was it wrong by her part or is there any explanation for this? It seems that she is singing the raga in another position.... Thanks

    • @Rodrigo_Duarte_cantor
      @Rodrigo_Duarte_cantor 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sidharth Sivaraj wow! very interesting! I don't know if you know, in western music there's a system of study for listening perception which is called Kodaly's system that is a móbile system of singing the notes that transposes the Basic scale C,D,E,F,G,A,B changing the names tô sing the same scale in any tune... I thought that was happening here... thanks for your explanation! ॐ

    • @easwarsankar
      @easwarsankar 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is the point of this piece. As you may or may not know, in Indian music, the first note can be aligned with any of the 12 Western classical notes and the octave is shifted accordingly. In this case, the 2 artists are singing using 2 different references. Hence, the Sa for one is Pa for the other. They are 2 different ragas with reference to their respecitive 'Sa' notes and yet, the actual frequencies of the notes match, creating a unique harmony. This is also known as Murchana in Hindustani music. This is my limited understanding on this fascinating method of collaboration.

    • @Arivarul
      @Arivarul 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That way of singing where the notes differ based on the relative position of the same frequency corresponding to the individual's pitch giving rise to a different raga and flavour... That is Graha bedham...
