I have just bought the black fabric with the leopards too from FG. Sadly my dear mother passed away a few weeks back and it is my birthday tomorrow so I have bought it with some of the money she left me as she knew my obsession with cats, both big and small. So it was excellent timing for me!
I am on holiday at the wrong time, so missed out on buying a calendar. But I have my eye on those beautiful Miami earrings. I’ll treat myself when I’m home.😁 love the Holland Park dress. I am currently piecing scraps to make a Love Notions Oakley Vest to keep me warm in the winter. My scraps were getting out of control. Love your dresses. I recently made an Itch to Stitch Comillas dress and, being rather busty, I have the same problem as you had with the Holland Park dress. I will add an inch, or so, to the bodice next time, but that will be next year, as I need to get into autumn/winter makes now. Like you, the cardigans have come out.
Both of your Holland Parks look amazing and I think the new one will be perfect for Scottish Frocktails. I fully understand about breaking the fabric ban - some things are impossible to resist! I'm currently in a bit of a holding pattern - I have 2 garments waiting for hems and I've just got a cover stitch machine which I'm trying to practice with - I need to thread it with a different thread and I'm in that place where it's a bit scary. This weekend is my target for getting to grips with it! Wish me luck 🤞

I've been searching for a beautiful satin in a very bright bold pink, and their magenta viscose satin fit the bill! I bought an amazing pair of shoes for myself in March for my 60th b-day and have been searching for the 'that's it!' fabric to go with them. I've never used viscose satin, have you? Anyway, the adjustments you made to your dress were spot on. The dress will be a WOW at your ball. Love your videos, thanks so much for your efforts to put them out for us!

I haven't had time to get any sewing done this week :( I've started back with the online degree I started like 4 years ago, and all my me-time has disappeared :( but I will get through it and it is worth it (right???) :) I'll just have to get my sewing fix through you and other sewing vloggers hahaha x

Congratulations on the successful launch of your advent calendars , I know you are a mum, partner and work full time and I’m throwing more work your way but have you considered a small button monthly subscription I know I would be interested and I’m sure loads of other people would, just a thought . I have used viscose satin, I would recommend a micro tex needle and and potentially the walking foot as it can be slippery 😊
