Oh Becky, so very sorry about your health and Mum’s situation. You are missed when you don’t vlog but health and family always come first. So sorry to hear you are going through a difficult time - hope there are lots of bright spots and good news throughout. We have missed you but know life interferes with sewing and plans have to adapt!! The bag makers kit looks fun - I think I have 4 kits to make up. Everytime I decide to make one up [never yet done a bag] life or a dress gets in the way LOL Love your makes - especially the Zadie dress - beautiful and it really suits you😎❤

Wonderful vlog as always. Your health & family always comes first! Knowing how to sew has been a blessing to me when life has roared its ugly head and brought major stress. Thank you for sharing your beautiful sews and fabrics. I have been eyeing the Nell pattern after seeing your lovely blouse, going to purchase it want to make both the dress & top. I can picture the red seersucker fabric in the Nell dress.

I feel for you, my youngest daughter didn’t end up taking any of her GCSE’s due to her experiences at school. This marks her being out of education for 12 months (officially, although she was barely able to attend for most of her final year and was unable to sit her exams) but she is paving her own way and has plans to get her Maths and English through non-standard routes then train on the job she really wants. Time heals all wounds.
Awww sounds like she is determined, mainstream education isn’t for everyone x

Your Zadie dress looks fabulous. it really suits you. I made it a few weeks ago in a slightly heavy weight linen and I love it. I do love the Zadie jumpsuit but was actually surprised at how much I love the dress.

Great vlog, I have the bag makers box, this months is fab, it’s so pretty, I’m thinking a Harrelson by Noodlehead or/and a little crossbody phone bag. The oval is a little purse catch, have fun.

Oh what a lot for you to deal with all in one go. I’ve had times when my world felt like it was falling apart and knowing that I couldn’t control any of it made me feel so guilty. Absolutely no reason why I should have but it’s usually me that puts things right so I guess I felt that I wasn’t going my best. Funny how it affects people in different ways. I know nothing about your daughters issues, I’m fairly new but I had problems as a teenager myself and never fully understood why. As an adult I have discovered I have ADHD which, can cleverly masked as girls more so than boys like to, in general, ‘fit in’ with their piers. Lack of concentration during activities they have little interest in, depression and forgetfulness, for example, are just as common in girls with ADHD as running around and being unruly is in boys, and seems to affect people with a crafty nature more than an academic nature, although that isn’t defining. As I was misdiagnosed for such a long time, and treated like I had no underlying issues it manifested as me being chronically severely depressed, so I talk to everyone about it so that they are aware not only of my difficulties but also to highlight this easily overlooked issue. I do hope that they get to the bottom of her issues, whatever they are, it will help so much for people to understand her struggles. Anyway I’m off to spontaneously dance around my kitchen to some 70’s music and totally forget where I put my coffee… 🤣 there’s a fun side to everything. Xx
