Loved this. Thank you for keeping it real, as always. Loved seeing the pile of washing and corner of destruction 😂, it's called family life and whilst others may pretend it doesn't exist, I'm grateful for your honesty x
it's so generous of you to pass along your me mades to others. i remember last year when you pledged to wear all handmade (i think). i hope this year is more enjoyable for you!
WOW I’m impressed at what you are culling and the reasons for them, I tend to hang on to clothes just because but need to be realistic about what I wear and then make what is missing. I have enough fabric in my stash so a good opportunity to fill the gaps. Am loving MemadeMay so far ❤
Fab video as always. When you were talking about the teal flowery dress , I was talking to the screen saying turn it into a jumper!!! Glad you talked yourself round! 😂xxxx
Each year you get better and better at MeMadeMay Bec. I had to pause this video to hop off to my physio session and just finished watching it now as I've returned home. It's such an inspiring video. I cannot believe how many me made items you have in your wardrobe! I've been sewing for most of my life and I couldn't say I have a decent amount of clothing in there for any season right now. I'm glad you have decided to keep the floral dress, really sad the red wilder isn't for you - I can't do the Wilder either even though the style is gorgeous. That was the fabric that was a beast to sew with wasn't it? I remember the video on it. I'm just doing private documentation this year. Figuring out what I actually do NEED for the Autumn and Winter here in Australia and pulling out some loved items I made last year. But with body fluctuations - who knew your hips would absolutely explode in size after a hip replacement (gosh they were big enough already beforehand). So I'm doing more sewing than recording of items for May this year. I think the sewists of Oz want to do another MemadeMay in September which would be really good to do this twice a year so that we can do another analysis of the opposite season. Can't wait to see what you find out next week but I do think you need to put another Bakerloo on the list.
Wow that must be an adjustment for you with the change in size, memade May can be what you need it to be, I must admit seasonal changes would be a good opportunity to do this too. My partner always tells me I have a large wardrobe, I am a prolific sewer though, but hopefully everyone can see how much I actually wear x
You have made me think even more about what I need to cull! I do hang on to far too much. Amazingly productive weekend and as others have said very real and refreshingly honest. Love all your vlogs 😊. Happy Sewing. Lynne
Have you considered dying the blue raj dress? It looks a great shape on you even if it is not your colour. Try a cobalt or something similar, think you would get more wear out of it then as it truly is a lovely pattern on you
How very therapeutic to have a clear out and rethink - perfect focus for this challenge. I think I started watching you last year after your illness and loved the May journey. I was silently engaging with your "no plains" philosophy and wondering how the month would end and how you would cope...... Do you analyse the year's makes to see the good and the maybe nots LOL Maybe this is a major overhaul. Party On ❤❤
It’s fun to review, when you first make something it always has a little more beauty, that’s because it’s shines and new, only after a waiting period I really know if I like it xx
If you want to sell your blue raj dress I’ll buy it. I love that dress, have made one myself but that blue is beautiful. Love seeing all your makes.❤️❤️
Really enjoyed this vlog. Ive made 4 wilders in 4 different fabrics and I dont like any of them - never wear them - I want to like it so keep trying, but no - its not for me either
The hardest thing for me is getting rid of "wearable" toiles that theoretically you could wear but there was a reason I made them with "less than" fabrics. So there they are sitting in my wardrobe because they fit and look ok but they were never meant to be my finished garment. Like what do you DO with them??
Great video! Such a good idea to sort what you wear/ don’t wear. I really need to get round to doing it…. 🫣. I actually love the wilder gown on you, but I’m sure you’ll have lots of takers for it if you definitely don’t want it!! ❤
Loved this. Thank you for keeping it real, as always. Loved seeing the pile of washing and corner of destruction 😂, it's called family life and whilst others may pretend it doesn't exist, I'm grateful for your honesty x
Thank you 😊 xx

Thank you, last year was definitely challenging. I am enjoying this year but I plugged a few me made gaps as a result of last year x
That black dress is stunning
Thank you x

I try to be quite ruthless, I always think about the space for other things that gets created 😊
I thoroughly enjoyed this. I loved your honesty about , well, just about everything. I also love seeing your makes.
Thank you xx
Wishing I lived close enough to be a Staffordshire sewcial girl 🤣🤣 that wilder gown is utterly stunning
❤️❤️❤️
Fab video as always. When you were talking about the teal flowery dress , I was talking to the screen saying turn it into a jumper!!! Glad you talked yourself round! 😂xxxx
Haha … sometimes talking through the process out loud helps decisions to be made 😂 x
I think you need to refashion that red dress into a top for you using the skirt pieces. You look so good in that color and print!
I know but it is also a beautiful garment made up, just for someone else x

Lovely outfits.
Best of luck with your pledge.
Thank you so much!
I loved this video format and seeing your makes, the ones you wear and don't wear. So fun!!
Glad you enjoyed it x
Hi Bec! I love the garments you picked out for last week.
Thank you x

Thank you 😊 xx
Great vlog Bec
Thank you x
I know I won't change your mind, but think the Wilder with the belt looks gorgeous on you!! Love this vlog Xxx
No you won’t but I really appreciate you saying it xx
Great vlog Becki, I like how you also assess your wardrobe at the same time & discuss why you’re removing items ☺️
I’m pleased you enjoyed it xx

I hadn’t thought about it no, I have several colours in my cupboard, what a fabulous idea x

Great job working through your wardrobe Becki! 🌸
Thank you x

I love your wildergown and it looks stunning on you. The fabric is just beautiful. It’s such a shame you can’t get on with the neck area 😢
I know, I love the fabric x
That baker Lou dress looks fabulous on you
Great vlog as always x
Love this kind of video, thanks :)
Thank you x
Great vlog as always you have inspired me to sort my wardrobe out too ❤❤
😊 x
Really enjoyed this vlog. Ive made 4 wilders in 4 different fabrics and I dont like any of them - never wear them - I want to like it so keep trying, but no - its not for me either
4 different fabrics Is definitely persevering with a pattern, I just think it’s a Marmite pattern xx
All amazing makes and such good fir.
Do you do full bust adjustments on any of your patterns?
I haven’t had to yet lovely x

So there they are sitting in my wardrobe because they fit and look ok but they were never meant to be my finished garment. Like what do you DO with them??
Yeah sometimes I like my wearable toiles, I always try and pick a fabric that I like because sometimes toiled can turn out just right.
X
I meant good fit🤣😂🤣
xXX👍👍👍
Can’t believe that with a full time job and your sewing that you haven’t given your girls a lesson in washing their own laundry.
They do it in the week for me… but clearly she hasn’t done much this week 😂
Are you in the middle perhaps of changing your style???
I think my style is always every changing x
