When you get to a certain age, fear doesn't enter into much anymore. I know I'm at that age now. Blessed be to the Ukrainian people.
They just know that nothing will be done to them. These are Russian soldiers. The city is being cleaned up.We went into the house to check if the militants were hiding there. There are civilians there. The Russian soldiers left and did not touch anyone.
We all gonna die at some point, better to accept that fact.
They only abuse the soldiers verbally because they know the soldiers are ordered to not kill civilians, unless they have no choice.

(Ring/Simplisafe for instance) It kinda looks like there was a person recording the second view of the film as I heard someone whispering, but I didn’t watch it more than once to check that out.

This make me sad. I know my parents would probably do the same thing. When people are old they don't care. They speak truth. They've lived long enough to see the games of the world. These young soldiers have a heart, probably don't want to be there, definitely don't want to kill people who are like their mom and dad or grandma and grandpa. Totally agree, as much as I hope that ukraine preserves its freedom. I can't help but to feel sorry for the conscript, the soldier that isn't there by choice, as much as I understand that you need to demonise and dehumanise the enemy in combat to allow yourself to do your job, these are still mostly just dumb kids that know no better and people should respect that all deaths in this war are tragic, even though the civilian ones are in some ways more tragic still.

When my mother was a teenager or perhaps 20 during the Korean War, she and her friend were about to be shot by a bunch of North Korean soldiers in a firing squad, but a brave old lady came out of nowhere and stood in front of the soldiers hanging unto them crying don't you have mothers, sisters and family? My mother fainted and her friend did not. But because of this brave old lady, they were spared that day. By the way, my mother stood in front of a firing squad twice during the war and survived them both and another time she survived a jet strafing machine guns that killed a man an arm length away. She passed away last year at 90.

Its really sad to see, because that elderly couple act the same way as probably those soldier's grandparents would act to keep some kind of bullies or drunk neighbor away from their property. What I see here are youngsters being forced to fight, but still have respect for the elderly and seem to have their values still intact. Makes me sad for the whole situation on both sides. It's obvious both sides don't want this.

They speak the same language here. Russians know one language. Ukrainians speaks both, Ukrainian and Russian. They can speak Russian so clear that not so many Russians are cable to do so.

It is a pity. Here in the UK young people do not have respect for the old & remember the UK has been pushing for the this war for a long time.
They probably remind them to their own grandma and grandpa. When I visited Russia I witnessed that younger (Russian) people still have a lot of respect for their elderly. I admire the pride of this old couple and their bravery. And I’m glad these soldiers kept a kind of descency by leavin them alone even the one soldier trie to scare them with the shots in the air. This war will cause so many unnecessary deaths on both sides.

I think they were brave, (and they are probably my age) but the young Russian soldiers were also kind enough to back down and leave the property. So perhaps a good day for everyone, no?
This is sad to see in so many ways. As a veteran, I know soldiers sign up for this job and are expected to follow orders. However unfortunately, not all orders from above are lawful. It's a great relief to see the Russian soldiers left the couple in peace without any issues. You can still see the respect to the elderly civilians and a touch of humanity in spite of what's going on.
You have to serve in Russia it’s mandatory from what I was told years ago. You do what your told or you get beat down good. I don’t think the Russian troops like what they are doing but there’s bad consequences if they don’t do as ordered.

I was literally scared for this old couple as this could have went seriously bad but thank God these soldiers had the decency to back off and leave the property. I applaud the bravery of this old couple, and they remind me of my parents. May God protect them both and keep them safe during the war 🙏 ❤️.

How do you think the US military accumulated such a massive kill count there? Multiple hundreds of thousands of Iraqis killed - at a minimum. Take a look at what they did in Fallujah. And this video is supposed to show us how bad and evil the Russian troops are. Well, the young Russian soldiers know they shouldn’t be there, aren’t wanted in that country as invaders, and the elderly couple likely reminds them on their own grandparents, so it’s kind of hard to kill your own grandparents, right?
With this scene it really can tell that these Russians soldiers are very young and innocent inexperienced. When the elderly couple confronted them they acted like the grandkids doing something wrong such heartfelt scenario. So proud of this couple who give it all to protect what their livehood.

Hopefully their home doesn't get destroyed later anyway. Survival isn't a one time deal. These people have many weeks of hardship and struggle ahead of them, and will probably not live long enough to see their homes return to normal, even if they survive the invasion.
Well to be fair, I do believe most Russian troops, especially low ranking ones, don't even know why they are there and don't want to hurt their cousins and neighbors. This whole situation is a tragedy caused by a madman dictator on a power trip.

Those soldiers cant do anything unless they have orders. Even the Platoon Leaders, get orders from Commanding Officers. (Colonels, Generals etc.)

Something has to be said for the soldiers who made the Honorable choice of walking away and leaving them alone instead of acting like beasts and shooting them. It is easy to stand up to tyrants, it is something else entirely to face reality and realize YOU are the tyrant and you have to step down.

I go outside in between bombings. I need to walk the dog. It constantly whines, trembles, and hides behind my legs.
I want to sleep all the time. My yard, surrounded by high-rise buildings, is quiet and dead. I'm no longer afraid to look around.
Opposite, the entrance to the one hundred and fifth house, number 105 is burning down. The flames have devoured five floors and are slowly chewing on the sixth. In the room, the fire is burning gently, as in a fireplace. Black charred windows stand without glass. From them, like tongues, curtains gnawed by flames are falling out. I am looking at it calmly feeling doomed to die.
I'm sure I'll die soon. It's a matter of days.
In this city, everyone is constantly waiting for death. I just wish it wasn't too scary. Three days ago, a friend of my older nephew came to us and said that there was a direct hit on the Fire station. The rescuers died. One woman had her arm, leg, and head torn off.
I wish that my body parts remain in place, even after the explosion of an air bomb.
I don't know why, but it seems important to me. Although, on the other hand, they will still not be buried during the bombing going on. This is how the police answered us when we caught them on the street and asked what to do with our friend’s dead grandmother. They advised us to put her on the balcony.

Our house on Mir (Peace) Avenue is the only one that has escaped direct hits. It has nearly escaped twice when hit by shells, windows flew out in some apartments, but it was hardly damaged, compared to other houses, and it looks lucky.
The entire yard is covered in layers of ash, fragments of glass, plastic, and metal.
I am trying not to look at the huge iron structure that has landed on the children’s playground. I think it's a rocket, or maybe a mine. I don't care, it's just annoying. In the window of the third floor, I see someone's face and I flinch in fright. It turns out that I'm afraid of living people.
My dog starts howling and I understand that now they will shoot again.
I am standing in the daytime on the street, and there is complete cemetery-like silence around me. There are no cars, no voices, no children, no grandmothers on benches. Even the wind died.
However, there are still a few people here. They are lying near the side of the house and in the parking lot, covered with outerwear. I don't want to look at them. I'm afraid I'll see someone I know.
All life in my city has been smoldering in basements. It reminds me of a flickering candle in our basement compartment. It is so easy to put it out. Any vibration or a gentle breeze and darkness will come.
I am trying to cry, but I can't. I feel sorry for myself, my family, my husband, my neighbors, my friends.
I go back to the basement and listen to the vile iron rattle there. Two weeks have passed, and I no longer believe that there was once another life here.
In Mariupol, people continue to sit in the basements. Every day it is getting harder for them to survive. They have no water, no food, no light, they cannot even go outside because of the constant shelling.

We see people spilling over the borders and family split apart to survive and while politicians talk about sanctions it is obvious something more concrete is needed to stop the terrible carnage. Well, since I know Russian language, there was a dialogue, which started with anger of old people asking who were the soldiers and why did they intrude into yard. Soldiers made a warning not to come close and shot in the air, then asked if there was anyone else, told them not to go out. An old man said old woman to calm down and went after them to close the gates. This is the power of common language.

Might be a well armed group of soldiers, but when you get scolded by a couple who remind you of your grandparents, you respect them and leave them alone. Bravery and compassion shown by both sides. These are proper soldiers who took the scolding, reacted like professional soldiers and acted accordingly. Fair play and real soldiering here, respect to these soldiers for acting like real soldiers, their parents should be proud of these soldiers, their grandparents should be even prouder. A large portion of these soldiers probably want to be home with their families and involved in this war. Ukranian where the women are hewn from granite and the men have balls of steel. Putin look to these soldiers to learn what being a man is.
