Whenever you see a Mercedes, even a big van, or Beemer driving into a ford, you know from the start that it's doomed, even if it makes it out initially.
I know, let me drive as fast as I can through the water then act surprised when I damage the bodywork and force water into the engine and hydrolock it. 🤔
1:38 You know its all over when the back starts floating and overtaking the front. 3:46 Love how the water is still gushing from inside the vehicle then it stops just up the road.
Unless very high ground clearance, anything with a turbo diesel or turbo petrol should not enter water….the intake is likely low down and will suck the water straight in. Which is why in some clips we see bigger vehicles get stuck when the water is barely upto the bumper.
Anyone with half an ounce of sense would know not to drive through water like, and then they probably moan like anything when they get the bill for the repair 😂😂😂😂😂
the driver of the silver van is a real fool, he has lost his mark, his road and his vehicle, and his confidence. He didn't lose his intelligence, because he didn't have any before.
When there's that much of standing water...why do people assume their cars are able to go through....a engine needs a clean air filter to work plus so many cars need electricity to supply the modulators and everything else...
I expect it's an electric handbrake, so when the car died the electrics did too and it couldn't be taken off. A lot of BMW's have them, and many newer cars
need the car on to get it out of gear if it died in drive. that's why nearly every automatic transmission car ever has an emergency release somewhere underneath the car. But yes, its the fault of the BMW driver not having the sense to magic his car out of gear, not the internet warriors that don't know basic mechanics.
The BMW F30 (3 series) has a manual handbrake. It locks into park automatically when the engine turns off. Outside of a manual release there is no way to put it into neutral with the ignition off. This is a common on all BMW ZF8 gearboxes. The F30 has a manual release under the car.
Why nobody remove air filter after engine stop?. With a wet filter, 0 air is flowing for the combustion... they have to remove it. And let the engine work some time in idle to evaporate all water
So how do you go about repairing your car after being flooded like the 1 Series BMW was at 2:20? I dont so much mean the engine but rather the interior of the car? All the dash electronics will be ruined and How do you dry it out and not get left with a damp/mould smell???
I’d hazard a guess that it’s probably going to be an insurance write off unless you’ve got a serious emotional attachment to the car and a very good bank account balance. You’d be looking at the minimum at a complete new engine and rewire as well as a complete refurbishment of the inside. Plus in a lot of cases the insurance companies could count you entering an obviously too deep ford as deliberate recklessness and not cover you anyway.
Why do people help and pull out a very dead car that will be written off instantly by insurance? Just before they then get told you aren’t covered for deliberately drowning your car.
Most important as a car owner (the more expensive the car - the better): To be creative. Be ready to invent the wheel once more! In this context, that means: Try whether you are the first one showing that wading in your unprepared car works! Try to show that you are the first one who can ignore physiscs! I trust in your skills and braveness. You will become a hero!
Some people confuse a car with a ship 😂😂. When you pull out the BMW, it sounds like a steam locomotive
The "Broken Motor Wagen" ?
@@stuinNorway YES 😂😂

BEST PLACE FOR RC BOATS
I’d be tempted to buy a hovercraft
How people can damage their cars and just laugh about it is beyond me
Embarrassment.

Ahh, the delicious sound of your pistons desperately trying to compress water. That’s the sound of burning money.

We can find all those cars on Copart now 😅
I think the driver at 07:08 had whiplash after that episode.
Great location 🇦🇺👍
I always thought people who owned BMW and mercedes benz had money and brains 🧠, guess i was wrong about the brains
They ain’t got money either, they will all be paying monthly for a long time for a scrap vehicle.

Tell me about the modulators please, they sound interesting.

@@TheRandomAustralianEvery video of flooded BMWs have their rear wheels locked up like this.

Some people certainly like to ruin their expensive cars, they must think it’s a boat as well.
People put a lot of faith in their low slung Italian cars

Why don't wheels turn when cars are being towed out ?
because its on gear, and engine is locked
Why do they go into the water with high speed when they don't know how deep it is?
