I know mint is traditional in this dish, but I'd leave it out if I made it. I *detest* mint in food. It makes me feel like I'm eating toothpaste. LOL. Other than that, everything else looks SO delicious.

Hi Marion, Michael here. Long time since chatting but doesn’t mean I’ve not watched your program or made your dishes. Made your LAAB Tod for a company casual Friday feast to much acclaim - thanks very much, went down a treat, managed to find saw-tooth coriander & it was all delicious, the tanginess was tremendous, couldn’t make it too chilli-hot due to audience. Thank you Marion, love your work….!!

Thank you. I just found the perfect solution for seasoning dumplings i.e. mixing the spices and liquids in a separate bowl so I can taste and adjust the seasoning, before adding it to the raw meat. 💡 Now I can play around with different flavour profiles. Context: I'm usually too lazy to first cook a small piece of my dumpling mix to check seasoning. 😂😂😂

They were very tasty. I used round rice grains instead and couldn’t get spring onions here in the south of Spain, so I added a couple more shallots. I think the spring onions would have given them an extra kick but I was very happy with the results. Thank you for sharing Marion.

07:42 "That is such a huge explosion of flavor! The spice; it's like..." Like a middleweight boxing champion just punched you hard in the stomach, and for a couple of minutes you can't catch your breath or remember your own name? Like that, you mean? 😂
I adore you and your videos, Marion. Truly, I do. I cook six or eight of your recipes regularly. And I do like my food spicy-hot, having lived in the U.S. state of Arizona for close to a decade. But if I were to use anything like the volume of chili flakes you just added to that food, I would not be able to taste anything for several days, and my longtime girlfriend (who has digestive issues and has never even visited Arizona) would likely not speak to me for a couple of weeks. Dial it down, gurl, before somebody gets hurt! 😬
