We went to the Orchid about ten years ago with my mother, who has since passed away. She really loved the sashimi, prime rib, and the desserts. Now it's time for my kids to be going and try
their food. We especially liked the bread pudding!

You made me so excited for our reservation in July. For reservations, you can call the hotel directly, which we did a month ago and had to secure the reservation with a credit card (72-hour cancelation policy), or use Open Table, but the first available reservation for Sunday brunch is August 14. Thanks for the video! 💜

I got full just watching this video! 😅 Happy belated B-Day Amanda! As good as everything looked, I kept thinking about you guys eating outdoors. I've never been an alfresco kind of person. I actually prefer frigid AC indoors, you know, helps when the meat sweats begin? Plus, when Yvonne was giving her comment, I was only paying attention to the birds sitting on the table behind her.

Price for special days brunch price is 125.00 pp ...BC they have lobster 🦞 tails on those days. Everything was excellent but, agree the waffles was ok and the eggs benedict was tough that day also. The desserts was sooo good. Keep up the awesome grinds foodie ohana 🤙.

I think this may be my favorite video so far (I’m a relatively new subscriber so, still catching up)
A couple things to share….Felix, when your eyes rolled back in your head on that first bite of prime rib with the au jus gravy, I think I started drooling 😂 Amanda, same with the mango sorbet.
Also, the fact that you both used your forks to eat your bacon while I’m over here using my fingers made me feel like an animal 🙈
Lastly, how do you eat such large bites without looking like total slobs? It’s really very impressive!

1:13 thank you for this recommendation. It was way out of budget but worth it. Like Amanda I am a seafood lover. I only want to mention that I tried to follow the advice to eat the eggs Benedict first because of the English muffin being to tough. Doesn’t matter.. As soon as it was put on the table I cut through to the muffin. Way too tough! Disappointed! The egg was perfect. Adding the crab was a great idea.

My dad had severe dementia and didn’t recognize his wife and kids so he was always combative when we would go out, but he did remember that his father was a waiter at the Halekulani Hotel. There was never an issue when he knew we were going to have a meal at the Halekulani Hotel. Every major holiday meal was at the Orchids buffet. Now that he is gone, we stIll celebrate Thanksgiving at Orchids. Reservations for the following year are made after the meal.
Side note and my apologies if I offend anyone by saying this, I tell people that I am glad my jichan (grandfather) wasn’t a waiter at Zippys.

Waffle all the way. I would say something I would like to see is some episodes with light eats. Visiting in October and as good as this looks, something that heavy would be rough while trying to see the sights. Most youtube video’s have some pretty heavy eats. Just something different and happy birthday Amanda.

You could make a video cartoon of the attack of the cream puff with Felix🤣. Mama’s Fish House Maui Coconut cake is ultimate! I saw a lady eating it and her eyes rolled. She refused to share with husband so I had to try it. I don’t like coconut. It is my favorite dessert in the world!!!!

i LOVE orchids at halekulani brunch but haven't been in forever! glad the price hasn't gone up since the last time, and now it seems reasonable for all the fresh seafood you have! and felix is right, i could eat over $85 worth of oysters alone lol. and it would be shrimp over crab (crab is too much damn work 😏) any day.

$85 is a bit over my budget for any occasion - have you folks tried the brunch at the old Kahala Hilton (now called Kahala Resort)? It is a bit more affordable but i haven't gone there for years.

There is just Snow crab leg but not King crab leg. There is no Ikura and Uni in the sushi station. But considering it is Halekulani, can't expect too much for $85.
