Ewa Beach Park! Back in the day that was the place to go for ogo! Now no more cuz people started picking the root and all. No consideration for da aina, now no more for our keiki. And that popping you hear is the rifle range run by the marines. I grew up in Ewa Beach. That was my stomping ground. 😆

You’re so right! The gravy made the loco moco! We just got home from our visit to Hawaii and we’re so glad we got to check out Kountry Kitchen. Thanks for the suggestion! Our family, who lives in Ewa Beach, had not been there but plan to go back! We also had a delicious Elvis waffle, mac nut French toast, Portuguese sausage and a GIANT porker breakfast sandwich. We loved all of it. Prefer my mac nuts in waffles or pancakes, but I’m not complaining! Sadly, we forgot to request grilled cornbread. Guess we’ll have to start planning our next trip!
We recently moved to Ewa Beach and now I’m definitely going to try this place! Heard the range in the background and giggled, yep that’s Ewa Beach 😂

LOVE!!! We live in Kapaa now and love Kountry Kitchen. ❤️If you want a more hole in the wall local restaurant spot with all of the savory goodness visit Waipouli restaurant and deli. My aunt and grandmother started in the restaurant biz decades ago after they arrived from Okinawa. Let us know if you ever need a foodie tour from locals raised on Kaua’i. 🥰
Once again I love Yvonne’s very objective review. I heard friends coming back from Hawaii and talking about crowds but I thounght it was just popular places like Rainbow and Leonard’s. 1st time seeing this one being from Ewa Beach. Just wanted to say if nobody has…Ewa Beach and Ewa are two different places. It’s a thing for residents in the two towns. 😂
We used to swim at the beach not crowded,seen a shark never went back🙀Breakfast, hamburgers& pizza great any time of the day.No rules.Country fried steak is easy to make.👍

That Loco Moco and Cornbread was worth the price of admission. Looked really good. But with Pancakes and Waffles I'm a savory kind of guy, instead of fruit I would add bacon or sausage. I miss the Waffle hot dog at Kapiolani. I got to get me some brunch this weekend. Mahalo and Aloha.

I'd recommend trying Stadium Giant Malts & BBQ, it's a bit out of the way but the food is delicious and cheap (maybe a cheap eats episode #XX)? Also their chocolate malt was sooooooo good :)

AHA! ...didn't know they are also on Oahu. Back when I used 2 B on Kauai 4 a few days every month, KKK (= Kauai's Kountry Kitchen) was 1 of my go-to bfast stops. Like one of the comments mentioned, the hash & eggs was my fav.

Oh wow, all the way to Ewa for brunch!! That’s dedication! I wanna try that loco moco and waffles! I think the pancake is a bit excessive , but if i wanna carb load, i know where to go! I am intrigued with their coconut syrup. Do they sell that in bottles? I dont get the fireworks… even in cal where we are dry as a bone they do that! Boba sounds great on a hot day! Love that they have local flavors n exotic too! So fun to get yvonne’s input too! 👍🏿💕😀

Aloha Amanda & Felix (and Yvonne). It was great seeing you showcase the Ewa area. I had dined at Kountry Kitchen in Kauai years ago and they had the best breakfasts! I love coconut syrup better than maple and it definitely makes a huge difference when it's made in house rather than store bought. Amanda and Felix, we went to Kountry Kitchen in Kapaa. I was impressed by the Kimchee omelette. Is was onoliscious! Great to see they are in Ewa. It's a bit of a drive, but I might go try it. Have you guys been to Sweet E's Cafe? Why don't you do a vlog on them? Aloha!

That popping you heard is gun fire there's a shooting range near by. There's a place called Souza's store i heard has good food and the l&l near foodland has good food and there's ewa seed store that has shave ice is good.

Oh I think I’m going to order a pair tonight. I’m a housekeeper in our hospital and constantly sanitizing my bottoms of my shoes because you don’t even want to know what we step in everyday. I have been on the hunt for a good pair of shoes because we work long hours on our feet
I've been wearing my all black slip ons at the hospital! Makes it easy to sanitize as well 👌
