    This seems very similar to the last model , which was very similar to the one before that which was the pro 4. I am kinda disappointed that they are not adding anything new. For instance, thunderbolt 3 support would be nice to have, or atleast a USB Type C port.

    Well, MS is simply destroying Apple these days. As a long term Apple user (20+ years) I have to agree with that. Lately my phone is Note 9, after purchasing every iPhone till Xs. I had multiple keyboard failures on my MBP 15" 2016, then on 2017 version as well. Sold those, don't own them anymore. My iMP has T2 kernel panics, it's up for sale as well. I own now a SB2 and it's really a great device. Building a custom PC as well.
    Only thing I will miss is Mac OS. Windows is good now, but not even close to Mac OS. It's inconsisten, settings and control panel are a mess, and Mac OS simply has far better 'small' apps that developers put a lot of effort to produce.
    But overall, it gets the job done. Keyboard failures and kernel panics don't. And Apples prices helped with my decision for sure.

    If it is only warm and running at 1GHz it is most likely running in power saving mode. Hence I guess it will run high performance apps and games better if you enable high performance power mode and also run with the main adapter connected. This said as stated it is not a gaming device.

      iOS is way ahead in touch screen UI than crappy windows 10. This Surface Pro's even underpowered than the iPhone XS benchmarks. The iPad 2017 and 2018 models are much faster than this device. If you saw the Apple keynote the Adobe lady opened up a 3GB PSD with 150 layers on the iPad 2018 model and the iPad still didn't break a sweat and it also played a super realistic basketball game with XBox One like clarity and performance.

      Amit Budhraja keep on listening the apple’s bs. You just simple cannot compare a mobile Arm processor and x86 processor. Both are completely different architecture and the surface i7 chip would destroy the a12 in thermals. No mobile games doesn’t even come close to 6 year old games Xbox games. Stop looking on useless benchmark score

      @Amit Budhraja
      That's all great and true, but only if you intend to use your device just for youtube, surfing web, videos, etc.
      Anything productivity wise iPad Pro is a bust. And I do mean anything productivity wise. I mean, you can't even develop iPad apps on and iPad 'PRO'. How Pro is that?
      So if you want to watch some videos, surf the web and play basketball games, by all means, iPad is great. Especially because in tablet mode it is a better device then ANY other on market. But if you use your device for ANYTHING else, iPad is a complete failure and a bust. It's just a media device. Nothing more, nothing less.

      Laurence Bajao why are people comparing this to an iPad? Ones a tablet and the other is a laptop. I have an iPad and I'm gonna buy the Microsoft surface pro for my laptop.

    • @TheMad0ne
      @TheMad0ne 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pet Bytes not a laptop neither. It a 2 in 1 if more people would fucking research and find out the difference they’d comment less garbage lol if you want a good “laptop” get a macbook pro or the surface book...

      I have an iPad Pro, and although it is a great product, I'd have to agree with IM...iOS is holding it back. I used the iPad pro for school (notetaking, doing homework, etc), but in the end I got frustrated with the lack of a full-featured OS. Some of my online homework assignment pages also do not support iOS, so I ended up having to go to the computer lab, etc. Lastly, coding on an iPad is a PITA. I ended up investing in a Surface Pro; it is capable of everything I need it to do. Of course, my use case isn't the same as everyone's, and for some, the iPad is plenty.

      Luka Cherriman I mean real desktop apps not ios apps. I’m a graphic designer that relies heavily on Adobe CC apps I cant use those on ipad. I also do a lot of wordpress dev/design and need to run apache/mysql/php locally and again, I cant do that on an ipad. My surface pro is not my main laptop/workstation but it is my on the go portable work machine and entertainment tablet and I would not trade it for an ipad
