I passed last year and found my actual test pretty easy and I was able to stay really calm. I was lucky to get such a brilliant examiner and he was saying how examiners love commentary driving. I thought I’d messed up at one meeting situation but didn’t stress and did ask him at the end, he said I was fine as I was talking it through so he knew what I was planning and seeing, I slowed down to second gear and was aware of other cars and a van. Was nice to hear the examiner saying how calm I appeared (definitely wasn’t the case on my mocks or last pre test lesson!) For me at least it was on my 3rd attempt I passed as I was so stressed about failing the entire time. On the 3rd time I didn't revise or even practice driving before. I just got in my car, drove to the test centre and passed :D For me it was not that I had issues driving (also had tonnes of experience, over 6 months of driving almost daily in my car, alongside 30 hours lessons) but it was just that I was so stressed about failing due to the long wait times.
Congratulations on passing your driving test! That’s a fantastic achievement, and it sounds like you did really well overall to only get 1 minor!! That's better than I did on my L test 🤣👏
He’s driving solely to show the driving standard, so long you have control of the car it’s okay. But also shouldn’t keep looking into the camera and not at the road lol
@mryrius no 100% no. Your hands need to e on the wheel. You are controlling a machine that can cause death. Always have your hands on the wheel to prevent your own, and anyone elses children, deaths.
A small lapse in concentration being an eliminator is what makes the test hard... but the ability to meet that standard is what it takes to be a trustworthy driver. There are many experienced drivers who often operate below that standard but they have all, at least once, met it under the pressure of test day - so they are known to be capable of meeting it. The standard is there to save lives.
I have been learning driving for approximately 6 months now for more than 45 lessons. 2 weeks ago I was confident and when I said to my instructor can you book me for test he said he will book then in next two lessons he messed up again, he shook my confidence and said you are not ready. I don't know what to do now. I'm really stressed spending alot of money and time on it.
If you think the instructor is just delaying you to get more money from you change your instructor. I changed mine 3 times. Make sure to get one who has same car features as your current instructor . Good luck mate❤
Watching this video a couple of days before my second test. Definitely nerves got the better of me the first time (I failed for two hesitations). Due to the difficulty of finding test slots where I learnt I'm having to sit somewhere I didn't have my lessons. I know the town reasonably well. Do people think it matters if you know the test routes or not? If you can drive you can drive right? I have tried to learn some of them but it does feel like an extra hurdle to passing.
Do u have any driving videos in the blackpool area please x im going for my theory test next week and hopefully doing an intense course in march (nothing available before that) i need yo learn and pass to drive asap but cant find any driving videos for blackpool x
1:30 - I had an incident like this on a test run, and when I pulled into a congested road, the opposing car was on its way down the road, and gave way to me. My instructor said that was a fail?!
These type of videos always take about 30 minutes but the test is 40 minutes. Is that because 5 minutes at the beginning and 5 minutes at the end are introductions, check driving licence, eye test, tell me questions, paperwork, test results etc? Meaning that actual driving on the test is approximately 30 minutes?
You got it. Plus i missed out the manoeuvre which can waste another 3-5 minutes. the exam time is from when you meet the examiner to after the debrief.
I will be honest, I failed my first test because as I was doing the angle start two cars began coming toward me so I was forced to reverse and that failed me. Anyone who passed second time got any advice? Thanks.
I had my test up near Liverpool, took 4hrs to get there, never been in the area and they made me do my independent driving with no sat nav lol just following road signs, was no chance to plan ahead.
@@DrivingSchoolTV Failed with 1 serious, was speeding, learnt to drive in central London so was a whole different style of driving up there was 34 in 30 zone.
It's definitely down to personal preference. If you'll feel more reassured with a friendly face in the back then do it! If the extra eyes watching your driving will make you more nervous then get them to wait at the test centre. Think about how it'll make you feel in the moment and speak to your instructor about it
Thanks for the video, Franco 👌 I'm going to try my best to keep watching and revisiting what you've said here., should I ACTUALLY be ready for my test on 4th Nov. I've only got 4 more lessons I can take (I don't have a car so my only driving IS with my instructor). I also have the added expense of having to fork out another £150 to use my instructor's car on the day, so to say that I don't want to be taking more than the one driving test is putting it frigging mildly! 😬💔
😂lovely comment about the council spending £1,000s on road signs. Whatever the true cost is,its certainly much more than we would expect due to the way tjey waste money
It's up to your instructor when they feel like you're ready. You can also ask. They're your lessons and your instructor should be delivering the lessons you want (within reason) 30 hours all on manoeuvres does sound odd and a bit excessive though!
If you're staying in second though, is there not the potential of the examiner making it down for not listening to the engine and changing up? (Exp driver from Aus, still watch haha)
i been driving 27 years when i am waiting at the traffic light i never put my foot on the brakes i put on neutral gear or apply the handbrake and i also don't like drivers who don't use there indicator!!
Did mine today 4 minors I just pretended the guy examined was filling in for my instructor for an hour he sets the sat nav and that’s it. Just be normal drive like he’s not there just listen the sat nav
Ngl my test went well until i freaking has my nerved snwpoed in and i screwed up in the rounabout. I had no minors but yeah the moment i did i knew i failed. It went quick and fast though and got nervous for no reason😢
That is what I was thinking. These type of videos always take about 30 minutes but the test is 40 minutes. I'm wondering if that's because of 5 minutes at the beginning and 5 minutes at the end for introductions, checking driving licence, eye test, tell me questions, paperwork, test results etc. Meaning that actual driving on the test is approximately 30 minutes?

I passed on Monday i have been watching your videos very helpful! Thank you!
Congraaaaats Kirsty!
I passed mine last Friday only 2 minors and they was in the last 5 mins, tapped the kerb on reverse 2 car lengths and one for hesitation
Definitely agree! Just need to fully concentrate for the whole drive. That'll get you a long way to passing
I don’t do mock tests I just independently drive until I make a mistake which I find useful
14:30 nah that digital assistant is hella cool goddamnnn
Still trying to pass, next month is my 4th attempt I always do one serious and 2-3 minors. Let's see next month if I pass or no...
This video is awesome. Thanks for doing this. Mega helpful. Yes.
I watched this video and went to take the exam today and passed 🎉. Thanks for the information.❤
Congratulations on passing your driving test! I'm so glad the video helped you out. Drive safe out there!
These videos are amazing as got test coming up and great glasses 😎😂
TYSM!! Good luck with your test 🤞
What camera are you use for your video
Thank you so much, today I passed at 2:25 with one minor fault. 🎉😂
Do u have any driving videos in the blackpool area please x im going for my theory test next week and hopefully doing an intense course in march (nothing available before that) i need yo learn and pass to drive asap but cant find any driving videos for blackpool x
This video is very useful 😊😊😊
If I stay in 2nd gear the whole time, would I not be marked down for not driving eco?
1:30 - I had an incident like this on a test run, and when I pulled into a congested road, the opposing car was on its way down the road, and gave way to me.
My instructor said that was a fail?!
I don't see why it'd be a fail unless you could've prevented something from happening that was bad.
Nice one mate thank for your help 😊
8:09 youre driving 17 in 30 ive got failed for driving 25 in 30 three times in exam, how do you explain that ?
If you check the signs and road markings the limit on that road is 20. Don’t rely on the satnav to tell you correct speed!
Just passed with only 1 minor! Thanks again for the help🙌
Nice work! That’s a crazy result you must be buzzing!!
I am, definitelt couldn't have done it without your help though🤝🤝
These type of videos always take about 30 minutes but the test is 40 minutes. Is that because 5 minutes at the beginning and 5 minutes at the end are introductions, check driving licence, eye test, tell me questions, paperwork, test results etc? Meaning that actual driving on the test is approximately 30 minutes?
You got it. Plus i missed out the manoeuvre which can waste another 3-5 minutes. the exam time is from when you meet the examiner to after the debrief.
@@DrivingSchoolTV thanks for the reply. My test is Wednesday 30th October. 30 minutes doesn't seem so bad 🙃
@@Avid_Fanmy test is on the 30th aswell good luck!
I will be honest, I failed my first test because as I was doing the angle start two cars began coming toward me so I was forced to reverse and that failed me. Anyone who passed second time got any advice? Thanks.
20:53 2 exits? Isn't it 3? Whats that on the right
I had my test up near Liverpool, took 4hrs to get there, never been in the area and they made me do my independent driving with no sat nav lol just following road signs, was no chance to plan ahead.
Jesus if you passed that is bloody good going passing in an area you've never been to!
@@DrivingSchoolTV Failed with 1 serious, was speeding, learnt to drive in central London so was a whole different style of driving up there was 34 in 30 zone.
loved this video! i have my second test soon, i was wondering what your opinion is on having your driving instructor in the car during the test?
I’ll say is good I didn’t have my instructor with me I would have probable pass first time
It's definitely down to personal preference. If you'll feel more reassured with a friendly face in the back then do it! If the extra eyes watching your driving will make you more nervous then get them to wait at the test centre. Think about how it'll make you feel in the moment and speak to your instructor about it
@@DrivingSchoolTV thank you for the reply!
i love your videos, but can you do extended driving pass video?
Thanks for the video, Franco 👌 I'm going to try my best to keep watching and revisiting what you've said here., should I ACTUALLY be ready for my test on 4th Nov. I've only got 4 more lessons I can take (I don't have a car so my only driving IS with my instructor). I also have the added expense of having to fork out another £150 to use my instructor's car on the day, so to say that I don't want to be taking more than the one driving test is putting it frigging mildly! 😬💔
You’ve been working really hard for a long time now Steveo! It might be the case that you’re more ready than you give yourself credit for 😉
@@DrivingSchoolTV I appreciate the sentiments, mate and time will tell one way or another.... 🙂
passed mine with 2 faults, both stalling, a few months ago, so i basically did it perfect in my opinion 👍👍
😂lovely comment about the council spending £1,000s on road signs.
Whatever the true cost is,its certainly much more than we would expect due to the way tjey waste money
Would you not get a minor fault for driving in 2nd gear at 20 mph, especially if the engine noise suggests you need to change to 3rd gear?
Thanks.
How many hours
You are the Best car driver school
Can I drive with one hand on the test?
How many hours must you complete before you practice independent driving please?I've done just over 30hrs all on manoeuvres. Great video btw😄
It's up to your instructor when they feel like you're ready. You can also ask. They're your lessons and your instructor should be delivering the lessons you want (within reason) 30 hours all on manoeuvres does sound odd and a bit excessive though!
Thanks for replying, yes I was thinking it is odd! On my next lesson I'll have a chat with them.@DrivingSchoolTV
Would you get a fault for not moving up a gear
depends how often you are doing it, if the engine is screaming for the majority of your test then they might
Don't feel the urge to rush through the gears. When your ears are saying change gears and the situation allows you to change then it's time to change
Staying in 2nd at 20mph? Not at all. If you're at like 30 and you just forgot to change gear then possibly if it's for a while
If you're staying in second though, is there not the potential of the examiner making it down for not listening to the engine and changing up? (Exp driver from Aus, still watch haha)
i been driving 27 years when i am waiting at the traffic light i never put my foot on the brakes i put on neutral gear or apply the handbrake and i also don't like drivers who don't use there indicator!!
Dont you need 2 hands on the wheel to pass?
How long the test takes
Nearly 2 hours my driving test is start and I’m watching this video 😅
Didn’t check left blind spot when pulling off 😂
You don't need to. I've covered this quite a lot in other videos. Maybe I need to go over it again though 😊
Why would you check the left blind spot when pulling away from the side of the road?
@@MT-dn4tu cause you have to 😂
@@paulgillett9207 No... you don't.
@@MT-dn4tu that’s how there teaching me at the min
Did mine today 4 minors I just pretended the guy examined was filling in for my instructor for an hour he sets the sat nav and that’s it. Just be normal drive like he’s not there just listen the sat nav
I've only got 2 hours of lessons left before my test
Ngl my test went well until i freaking has my nerved snwpoed in and i screwed up in the rounabout. I had no minors but yeah the moment i did i knew i failed. It went quick and fast though and got nervous for no reason😢
just passed my driving test with 0 minors first time and never been happier!!!
Jheeeez thats an incredible result!! you should be mega proud of that. bragging rights for life lol
7:24 signal? You were in a right only lane and still applied a signal when you moved off. No fault.
I have my test on Wednesday and I'm full of anxiety ☹️ I KNOW how to drive but my nerves are letting me down
I passed my test yesterday 2nd time in the rain with no minors
Isn’t the test 40 mins instead of 30 mins??
That is what I was thinking. These type of videos always take about 30 minutes but the test is 40 minutes. I'm wondering if that's because of 5 minutes at the beginning and 5 minutes at the end for introductions, checking driving licence, eye test, tell me questions, paperwork, test results etc. Meaning that actual driving on the test is approximately 30 minutes?
At the very beginning of this video you didn’t do your all around observations 😂
Do you have a contact number to book lessons with you i have my test booked for April
Got my driving test tomorrow! Wish me luck 😭
Best of luck on your driving test! You've got this-just stay calm and focused.
@ I passed first time, 2 minors 😁
I'm struggling with the maneuvers I'm OK forward baypark
Keep going you’ll get there!!
@@DrivingSchoolTV thankyou I can remember when I first started learning to drive I was scared nervous and anxious hated roundabouts still get abit nervous but once I'm away I'm ok
How do you program the satnav
Your examiner will bring one that’s already programmed
04:29 I like to say new road new mirrors mate.
It's a great saying I actually nicked off another instructor a few years ago 🤣
14:00 send it 😂
Can we do a mock test please? I will pay 🙏🏽
Love video
