    Hey everyone! Today's video is all about the differences between professional resumes and academic CVs. I cover what information should be included and have included a link to my templates in the description box! Xx Kaelyn

    im almost 21 years old and I feel like I have such little experience to put in my resume, especially since im applying for a BSW at York University. however this video was very helpful in directing me with what admissions committees may be looking for on a resume, so thank you!

    My advisor suggests keeping a quick link to your CV so that you can update it as things change. I also set reminders in Notion to update my CV a few times a semester.

    Thank you SO much for this, you actually mentioned so many things that I have not included in my CV even though I have the relevant experience (ex, conferences, included one canceled by COVID, etc..) and i cant wait to improve it before i send it to schools. Thanks again! 😍 super informative and I always end up learning something new from your videos. I am not sure if this would be possible, but if you have some advice for international students applying to PhD programs, hopefully fully funded or with scholarship opportunities, that would be phenomenal. I am Lebanese living in Beirut, Lebanon and I am so nervous about applying to clinical psychology PhD programs in the U.S.

    I love this video a whole lot and it is giving me a ton of inspiration for when I'm making my own resume! Random question though: What is the beautiful font that you use in this resume? I've been trying to find a similar one but I haven't been able to find any. It looks so classy and timeless!

    Hi Kaelyn! You´re the best, thank you!! Would you recommend putting a picture in a CV for graduate school? I have read such contradictory comments on this, some people recommend it as it makes you more approachable and others don´t because it can create bias. I hope you can read this since I´m applying in a few days. Thank you!

    • @KaelynGraceApple
      @KaelynGraceApple  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    For the education background, should I put the colleges I went to, even if I didn’t graduate from that school? I would take courses at a community college and then have them transferred over to my university. Also, I was in a program and than dropped out, should I still put that in my resume?

    Hey I'm trying to get into a Master's Program in Biology. If I have an experience that qualifies as both professional and research experience, would you recommend splitting it into multiple sections, or would that look strange?

    HI! Thank you so much for your video. I am currently making my academic resume, as I am applying to grad school. I was wondering, is it a good idea to add hyperlinks to our resume? For example, I did an animation to introduce my cv, is it okay if I put it? to kind of back up what we are stating#claiming to do. For example, I say in my resume that I was a poitical caricaturist in my uni's newspaper, and I have a portfolio. Should I add it? Thank you so much for your time:)

    • @KaelynGraceApple
      @KaelynGraceApple  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hyperlinks are totally acceptable just dont include any animations in the actual cv or resume
