- Academic CV is an important component of the application checklist for graduate school, postdoctoral fellow, and faculty positions.
In my last video, I highlighted 8 common mistakes you need to avoid in your academic CV.
While I agree that there is no one way of writing an academic CV, however, there are basic sections expected in your academic CV.

This is an apt summary of what a quality CV should entail.
I love the part where you indicated that you should only list sections applicable to you, especially for fresh graduates.

My question is, who exactly is this for? I see for "graduate school" "post doctoral fellow" and " faculty positions" Please help me understand the differences.

After watching this, I had to send a mail to the grad school coordinator to delete the disjointed CV on my application so i can submit an aligned one.

My undergraduate project does not correlate with my current research interest.

Good day sir. I'm just coming from the webinar on drafting CV, I couldn't get the opportunity to ask my question. After following the guidelines given here, my CV is currently 6 pages, 5 excluding references. My question is how can I compress this to a 2 paged CV, or at most 3 pages. This is important for me in order to submit an application. Thank you

Hello Doc, thank you for the insightful words. Please I want to know if it is compulsory to have other research experience asides my Msc and Under grad Research I carried out during my thesis? Also I don't have a teaching experience that was done at the University level. Can I still apply? even though I have over 7 years work experience that best aligns with my research topics.
