i seriously despite cringe culture bc who cares?? as a middle (i think) zoomer, i don't always get what my generation is doing, but as long as they aren't hurting anyone, i couldn't care less about how cringey it is. everyone has cringe moments, every generation is super cringe. the only difference is that zoomers, even more-so than millennials, get to have all that cringe immortalized on the internet. so here's my sentiment: be cringe & be free.
What Trin said was very true, I was born in 2000 and basically grew up with milennial internet content. Stuff like Charlie the Unicorn and Salad fingers, to MLP gore like Cupcakes and Smile. Milennials shaped Gen Z in a weird way via the internet and you know what all I have to say is STOP MAKING CHILDREN'S SHOWS INTO GORE PORN MY GOD
yeah same! While i'm not a millennial I looked up to them growing up, and the content I consumed was obviously made by millennials so ofc I was shaped by that. Not to mention that the clothing trends (like those mustaches, and emojis and hashtags on everything) was marketed to kids as well
as a person from gen z, i agree that these trends like the npc streams and the boys who do thirst traps are incredibly cringe. however, i think these things mainly blow up because people are clowning on them. me and my friend group certainly find these things hilarious and dont take them seriously, but there are probably other things like slang that we will grow up to despise once its had the time to marinate
my millennial manager acts like she a boomer or smth, today she said, "your generation doesn't even know what they are", bro could not sound more like an old grandma by saying that. Transphobic AND cringe damn 💀
i love the gen conversations because in the era i grew up in it was redefined *constantly*. Gen X/Y/Z it was being argued within months of contention. No one had a decent justification but everyone was subscribed to this compartmentalized generational hate. there was a comment here, but you guys do realize the song "We Didn't Start the Fire" was a literal anthem to stop blaming "gen x" for what "baby boomers" created. Actually wait, I think it was "the best generation" (yes they actually called themselves that) blaming "baby boomers" for everything. I use all those terms in quotes because all of this is redefined now. There are those who call anyone pre 2k "baby boomers" - it's all way too fluid. Keep in mind if you're confused by this the next generation will likely call anyone born in the ENTIRE RANGE of 2000-2020 or so: "millennials". Same thing! Have fun with that!
I'm sorry but as a millennial, how am I supposed to "fix it"? Like...i grew up in just as much of a fucked up society as anyone born after me will experience. I'm not ignorant and I vote but addressing millennials as a whole and just saying....fix it?? Bro...most people that didn't vote in the last election were within the Gen Z age bracket.
As a Gen Z, I think they were both joking and relating to millenials "fixing" the cringe state of the internet (as a joke). Not... fixing the general state of the world. We blame boomers for that one, millennials are fine.

i am an older gen z but when my younger sister (also gen z) said youtube is for old people i almost cried
So on top of listening to “You’re a Jerk”, on repeat, doin the stanky leg, and saying rawr, I also wore a shirt that said, “Cool Story Babe, Now Go Make me a Sandwich” and I wore it often.
this is so much to digest lmao (im a young gen z)
jacob, i’m gen z and i can can confirm, i did love this one.
Trin trying not to “hate crime/speech” millennials on the internet is killing me. Trin, we love u.
stressed about working on the weekends, but the nuggets cheered me up. thank you bestie
Isn’t dabbing more of a gen Z thing? Maybe it’s because I’m not in the US, but where I live I mostly remember the (then) 10 year old kids at my job doing it. I feel like planking is more of a peak millennial thing 😂
Liked the video! You should consider getting strange eons for a millennial interview, she's done Tumblr deep dives and is very knowledgeable about millennial internet culture.
I'm a 21 year old that feels related to both genz and millennial experiences
JACOB you were literally the quintessential Tumblr teen. Thanks for showing off your millennial credentials
IM SO EXCITED FOR THIS COLLAB I LOVE EVERYONE IN THIS VID
As a Millennial I would like to fix things, but most of the things that need fixing are still held hostage by old boomers :'(
boomers are like an ancient evil with an unshakable grip on control over the world literally and figuratively
i seriously despite cringe culture bc who cares?? as a middle (i think) zoomer, i don't always get what my generation is doing, but as long as they aren't hurting anyone, i couldn't care less about how cringey it is. everyone has cringe moments, every generation is super cringe. the only difference is that zoomers, even more-so than millennials, get to have all that cringe immortalized on the internet. so here's my sentiment: be cringe & be free.
ikr embrace the cringe. be free lol
I agree, my anxiety doesn't
What Trin said was very true, I was born in 2000 and basically grew up with milennial internet content. Stuff like Charlie the Unicorn and Salad fingers, to MLP gore like Cupcakes and Smile. Milennials shaped Gen Z in a weird way via the internet and you know what all I have to say is STOP MAKING CHILDREN'S SHOWS INTO GORE PORN MY GOD
yeah same! While i'm not a millennial I looked up to them growing up, and the content I consumed was obviously made by millennials so ofc I was shaped by that. Not to mention that the clothing trends (like those mustaches, and emojis and hashtags on everything) was marketed to kids as well
straight up can’t look at my photos from over a year ago because they make me cringe so badly 💀 gen z is def cringe, everyone is
as a person from gen z, i agree that these trends like the npc streams and the boys who do thirst traps are incredibly cringe. however, i think these things mainly blow up because people are clowning on them. me and my friend group certainly find these things hilarious and dont take them seriously, but there are probably other things like slang that we will grow up to despise once its had the time to marinate
this is a collab i never knew i needed omg
I can't believe Shaji Sharma is just a year older than me. He looks so adult.
The interview with @lovelltrin got me laughing so hard, she's so flatly funny wth
You sir, just won the internet
no bc i was born in 2003 and growing up i always looked up to millennials and wanted to be like them when i got older lolll
this subject will never fail
Opera⭕ > chrome & brave & firefox
and edge!
As a millennial, I'm scared of the set of skills the next generations are getting and the use of it.
Which are almost none. That's even scarier. (And I'm Gen Z)
5:30 okay, look.
I would adopt that child.
That child has hope.
They must be protected.
loved this collab! you all vibed so well
my millennial manager acts like she a boomer or smth, today she said, "your generation doesn't even know what they are", bro could not sound more like an old grandma by saying that. Transphobic AND cringe damn 💀
i was literally thinking about this duo and yall came back to meeeeee
we're all gonna be cringe, embracing it is more fun. RaWr < 3
i love the gen conversations because in the era i grew up in it was redefined *constantly*.
Trin is so freaking charming and funny
im gen z and im pretty sure i had a mustache/hipster themed birthday party bmgwl
My three faves in one video I’m gonna explode
Damn what a doozy, two videos this close together? It must be my bday :)
Gen Z attention span is so cheeks its impressive. I now have to watch every video with captions and and at least 1.25 speed.
@beep3242 that's fair and I can totally understand that.
Hey Jacob, just wanted to tell you I have no gag reflex. Anyways sweetheart I gotta go get some cigarettes
this was so wholesome lmao thank you for sharing your beautiful pictures
Going from boomer to millennial lol forgetting gen x sad lol
um… you sir just won the internet 😂
Dabs are the most gen z thing tho
Not that I don’t accept my millennial cringe with an open heart, but I was well into my 20’s when dabs came around,
I’m gen z and I already cringe at all the gen z stuff. I am older though (born in 2000)
millenials may have traumatized gen z with omegle but they also gave us funny livejournal drama so as far as i'm concerned it's even ,,, equivalent exchange and whatnot
Ngl “uhhh… it gets better” healed me
I wore a Gir from Invader Zim hoodie religiously until it stopped fitting, and that got swapped for a TMNT zip up in high school. No one is immune to cringe
im so thankful external hard drives existed in 2012 because mine broke & took all my embarrassing hipster photos to the grave with it
"I'm not agist, I have a millenial friend"
Gen z being influenced by millennials is so true. It makes me feel better about my first videos actually 😂
Subbed for the nugs,
Stayed for the classic Jacob Andrew Sharpe cringe pics
I love how to represent peak gen z cringe Jacob decided to show candy crush who's 33
everyone keeps forgetting about gen x and tbh they're pretty cringe.............
