Any sewing recommendations for fishing related things? Made two perch pouch’s out of old perforated dinner plate mats yet to test out but think they’ll work well to stay out there where the bite is
1. what is the best locations in Oregon coast to fish for perch? 2. is gaming license required? how to obtain it? 3. what is the legal size to keep the fish? your video got me into this sport fishing, I am new! please advise. thank you!
1) it's good anywhere along the OR coast. But if you want success, any beach south of Coos Bay is best. 2) You need a fishing license. Google "oregon fishing license" 3) No size limit on surf perch, you can keep 15.
@@hanslain9729 I've got 50# braid from slinging a snare but it doesn't look anything near as think as what he's got there. I've got some kevlar braid too but it's definitely not for fishing haha.
@@templeton3504 I've got braid larger than he's using which I used to use for leaders for fishing for oversized strugeon years back on the Columbia. We'd use full sized shad as bait secured on the leader with a few half hitches. It's bulky. Stuff looks like mini paracord.
Hi. One of your subscribers. In an earlier video, you tested the Gamakatsu inline SE Size 4 Octopus Circle hooks. I can't seem to locate these anywhere. Do you have any suggestions on where I can buy these? Thanks.
It's hard to say, as all beaches are different. Some are best during high tide, some are best during low tide. Best thing is to try it at low tide, or minus tide, and then again at high tide. One will work. Although, I usually have to walk pretty far to find that sandbar during low tide.

Props to you for recognizing a quick dispatch when you catch them so they don't suffer. ❤
Greetings from San Diego. Such an Awesome Video! I used a Trout Minnow after this video and have been catching a lot more fish.
I really appreciate your support and help
Greetings from Redondo Beach 🇺🇸. Very informative fishing video. 🌷🌷

Nice perchies - good baits
I loved to fish perch before, but recent years, no perch in Southen California beach.

Nice!!
What beach you be fishing on? we havent had luck with sizes like that at all this season so far
Wonder if that mic tail work for barred perch.
What Okuma rod are you using? Surf Perch Rod?
Nice video as always! Learning a lot from your videos. Is there any specific time of year that's best for surfperch or do they hit all year round?
They can be fished year round.
I've always been fascinated by the line you use in these demos. What is it? Looks incredibly heavy.
I'm guessing this is just for demonstration. Usually you're rigging up with like 20 lb mono.

It's just 100# braid line. I use bigger bright line since it shows up on video better.

Have you tried the Morticians Rig ?
What action do you like on your Okuma?
A light action. I stay away from the medium-heavy to heavy action as I broke one before. They just don't have enough "load" as they are too stiff.
What weight of leader?
what tide i am looking for? i am heading clamming on Wednesday sunset beach

What rod is it? Thanx
Okuma SST 9'9" Salmon/steelhead rod
What is the action
In the thumbnail, your reel is sitting on the sand. Sort yourself out.
Amazing the folks that are always looking for any mistake. Relax man!
@@RayMiller-ck5ju It's lesson 1 mate. Don't destroy your gear. You can't catch fish with a fucked up reel.
