Slaneesh is excessive and extravagant in its wish granting, that marine would probably end up obsessively using various corpses as containers for cheese creation
No matter how much I read about 40k I'm amazed by how vast it can be each time I find more intriguing points of the universe, I even became a filthy heretic and bought some Plague Marines. I pieced together a couple and painted one, it isn't exactly the prettiest but I'm happy with my first mini. I also found it cool that if you buy a group of Plague Marines with a Plague Champion they come as a group of 7 the same as Nurgles sacred number, thank you once again for being my gateway to this.

The Flamers of Tzeentch always felt like nasty ways to go. I still think the worst ways to go in 40k are either being consumed by a hive ship or being taken prisoner by the Drukhari.

Becoming a plague bearer isn't so bad, it is one of the better ultimate fates. Yeah, to the outsider you are a horrifying zombie but from your perspective, but you are in a new and loving family who sing while dedicating themselves to cataloguing all the wonderous gifts you will one day deliver to your beloved friends and family. They might not want those gifts initially, but you are sure that once you show them first hand the glory of your grandfather, they too will join you in Nurgles realm to be together forever in the joy-filled garden paradise. For in Nurgles garden, even the insects sing the praises of their master while happily getting about their work in the warm muck they call home.
Always thought Nurgle daemons must be pretty good at mental math to be able to constantly count all those symptoms and predict where and when new diseases sprout

You single handedly created a new 40k fan about a month ago. I cant stop buying books! I started on The Horus heresy, im going to do the first 3 books to know more lore and then shop around for other stories later. I have NEVER been so taken in and interested by a world or story, thanks for making awesome content dude. I probably won't ever play the game but you made me realize that I could still be into the world and lore without having to play the table top

Games workshop puts out a survey every year for Warhammer fans and according to the survey, only like 10% of the community has ever purchased a model. And only around 1% have ever played the game. It's like 1/10 of that who I've ever played competitively. Many of the horus heresy books are New York times bestsellers! So there is a very huge portion of the community that just likes the lore 🙂
I haven't watched "Event Horizon" but I saw some clips, and I think it shows how horrific it would be if your starship went through the Warp without protection. Basically, the crew had a gore orgy and just seeing glimpses of that really disturbed me
That one about exorcised victims not being allowed to die sounds an awful lot like that Japanese nuclear power plant worker who was exposed to a lethal dose of radiation but was kept alive for months because 1) his family won’t accept it, but more importantly 2) the doctors were just curious to know how long the human body can last. In the end I think the poor guy had like 90% of his muscle slosh off his bones and was in constant pain that no amount of medication would lessen, he was forcibly kept alive by machines since all of his organs has ceased to function properly.
2 isn’t even true, they pleaded the family to give them permission to kill him but the family refused and they couldn’t do anything due to legal issues
The family only signed the do not resuscitate order after the man had died thrice in a day, 1.5 months after the accident. Took him weeks to die again after that. You can't really let someone die as a doctor unless you want prison.

The idea of being digested alive by a nid hiveship still haunts my mind after watching your video about it. But just about anything nurgle is much much worse the fact that even death might not let you go is horror beyond any other death on this list and other ways to die iv heard about. At least the skull cannon has you die at some point same with flamers.

This past Wednesday I got my first 40k book The Infinite and The Define. Thursday I got Brutal Kunnin and between the 9th and the 16th Twice Dead King 1 will come in. I've enjoyed the books so far and I wanted to say thank you for helping me get that final push to actually start buying books from them and not just watching videos.
in that case i do recommend Biles trilogy, "Nightlords omnibus" "yarric: omnibus" and "forges of mars", "Cain" first omnibus. The first two have probaly the best character writing for chaos and some of the best written characters in the setting, Yarric is the only book so far that got my hair raised up due to badassness, "Forges of mars" is just special in my eyes and Cain is just fun with badassness and grimdark.
I am personally partial to the Gaunt's Ghosts series, there are quite a few and they tell the tales of a particular Astra Militarum unit during the Sabbat Campaign. I got into them back when the Black Library was just starting.
You should talk about individual Primarchs. I and im sure alot more would love to hear more about them, or maybe a deep dive of the tyranids would be cool. Love the videos

For a plague bearer, being on the front lines can actually be a good thing in certain situations. Imagine being one of those when Morty invaded maccrage and Gulliman puts the emperor's sword through you.
I think the worst way to die is probably locked in one of trazyns battle dioramas at the moment of death. Stuck and frozen in that one moment for all eternity. Knowing the moment you come out, you will die until you wish for a death that may never come.

Knowing that everyone else would be basically feeling rapturous levels of holiness and all you feel is three things, dread, the overwhelming realization that you are a battery, and the pulsing of the daemonic portal underneath. Arriving and learning the truth that the emperor is sitting on a giant golden demon toilet, knowing of his failure underneath the throne just before being sacrificed to the one who just prior had been referred to as being perfect, as being flawless. Then being plugged in and feeling the immediate and immeasurably hungry tug of the Emperor and the Astronomican an instant before feeling like you're being lit on fire, frozen, ripped apart, and stitched together all at once. I guess the only saving grace is this torment, in theory, only lasts for a day or so. (I guess? I honestly don't know the exact process that occurs but this is how I imagine it).
I like how one of the best space marine chapters is also one of the worst ways to potentially die if done wrong. Kaldor Draigo expects nothing less than demonic possession.
This just makes the Grey Knights even more badass, considering nothing the daemons do will touch them. Their mere presence causes pain to the daemons. Also the exorcist chapter possesses their recruits and forces them to expell the daemon by sheer willpower. The tiny handful that survive are turned to space marines. Pretty damn crazy.

One of the plague war books has an imperial officer chained to the wall of a death guard ship, constantly aging into a rotten corpse, then deaging into a child. Twisting and mutating into a portal just so the character can speak to someone across the galaxy.

This just makes the Grey Knights even more badass, considering nothing the daemons do will touch them. Their mere presence causes pain to the daemons.
Also the exorcist chapter possesses their recruits and forces them to expell the daemon by sheer willpower. The tiny handful that survive are turned to space marines. Pretty damn crazy.
