my main question would be how do you get the roots of the frontal to have texture so it can mimic how our curly hair looks around the edges and at the roots. I can not figure it out for the life of me , but thank you for sharing this method!

Yes! The one thing I can't stand is how the roots are straight. It looks unrealistic. I know they can roll it closer to the root, so why not do it? This has been on my mind for a long time!

I am in the UK, and for a long time have done my own curling of raw hair, but used slim rods which takes forever. I have been looking on Amazon and long plastic straws can work (I have done the boil method and they didn't melt after 1.5 hours of simmering in boiling water), but I still did them as rods when I rolled. I have just seen some thick plastic reusable straws on Amazon and am going to try this method for wefts next time and will use foil on the ends as well as elastic bands (after checking the elastic bands can handle the heat ), It will save a lot of time. These ladies are very skilled in the video, but I have a ton of raw hair that I need to texturise myself.

This is interesting. One question though: when you wet the hair it stays curly and even when dry with products it's still very curly. Why is that? Did you perm the hair? Because usually putting hair on rollers will only last a little bit before you have to re-roll it

But I've seen many TH-camrs boil it themselves without chemicals and get permanent results. We can't boil the hair on our head when it's in rollers, right so it wouldn't get the same result...I really need to confirm this because I want to custom boil my own extension hair.

+sisterfromanotherplanet yes that's correct there's no need for chemicals. boiling it in a good conditioner mix will suffice 😃
