When I was young I didn't get her but now I totally do. I really love some of her performances and recordings but this particular clip is nice to see what a wonderful sense of humor she had!
Thanks for posting, it was enjoyable. I remember watching her on the late night talk shows as a child. She seems nice, down to earth yet sophisticated.
Dear wonderful person who posted this Peggy Lee segment from The Tonight Show. This video, unfortunately, ends just as Peggy is about to perform her original song about Los Angeles. Peggy wrote a song entitled "Los Angeles Forevermore" which (I don't believe) she ever recorded. Do you think you could find it in your heart to post MORE from this episode that includes Peggy singing her simple short song about L.A? She just sits there beside Johnny and performs the song from the "interview chair" and it is quite hypnotic. I believe this performance may have been the only time the song was heard. Is it possible you could give us MORE from this Carson show? Thank you!
I wish they would 'represent' her in a movie someday....Christina Aguilar, or even Pink, might be able to pull it off vocally. She wasn't always a nice person, who of us are. But I would love to see the power of her vocals and presence represented today....as well as her song writing....

Thank you for everything Peggy Lee. Rest in peace.

Deb Kelly what year was this ?
What a class act she and he were. They had great chemistry. He obviously likes her and she him.

It takes too long to learn to live alone was the song that touched my heart from Peggy Lee, but I like them all she was great with that sultry voice.
This woman is so beautiful her voice
She is funny and charming.
Wish I could have heard Peggy Lee perform her song but the film was cut off.
Lovely woman !
