Thank you! I hadn’t seen this one before. It’s a real treat-Sammy Davis being one of the fastest draws in Hollywood, maybe tied with Clint Eastwood or faster, if memory serves. Brought a tear to my eye at the end and kept it up too.
Love to watch great old movies like this. They don't make great westerners like this anymore. They don't have fablous actors like these guys either. Sammy and Ernest were outstanding actors great talent between both of them.
Ernest and Sammy were just great with their acting...as usual. storyline was great. i thoroughly enjoyed. i will watch again when working or hanging out in my kitchen. i am 73.
Theres so much to like about this movie apart from the two leading characters .Its about breaking down the fences of racism .At times it made me angry but it was good to see the fences fall apart as they began to feel some respect for each other .The ending was excellent .I look forward to watching it again .Hope you all enjoyed it too .

Based off most of the comments of this movie...I'm watching and listening to this movie through a completely different lens. In the beginning I was just looking for something to kill an afternoon but, by the time this movie was over... It showed me sooo much more.
The place I worked for in the 90s sold Ernie a 42 ft provost bus R.V . He didnt get 2 blocks and ran a stop sign down the side of it 🤣 I was in charged of repairing it. Mr Borgnine always had a big smile on his face. One of the ledgends.

Well said. I once saw an interview where Mr. Borgnine was asked to comment on how it was to 'act' next to Sammy Davis jr. in this movie. He said "it was one of the hardest roles he'd ever been asked to play''. His respect for Mr. Davis was very evident. And I concur.
