    Just discovered you after the video from the abandoned channel and couldn't be more pleasantly surprised. I really hope you get more exposure so you can make more great tutorials.

    Way above my head but very meaningful nevertheless. It's like Photoshop or any other creative tool. Explaining the individual tools within is one thing. Explaining the tools in combination with or relation to each other is a whole different level. Thanx for the last one :D

    I was curious how you go about assigning materials to this but getting the colors from the weight transform? I think I'm missing that small step in this. cheers!

    • @noseman
      @noseman  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you're using Standard C4D materials you will use a Mograph Color Shader, or Multishader. If using Redshift, use a RS Color User Data and an RS Shader Switch...

      @@noseman great tutorial by the way. Not sure how I will use this knowledge but it's amazing. And if I'm using Octane?

    • @noseman
      @noseman  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sean.sullivan I don't do Octane I'm afraid. For general MoGraph tutorials Cineversity.com is the best place to go.

    • @sean.sullivan
      @sean.sullivan 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@noseman ok, got it.. octane material diffuse or glossy with color shader as the texture. Pretty simple not sure why it didn’t work the first but eh, octane! Thank you

      @@sean.sullivan the only thing that matters is that it works!!

  • @lelkaitis

    By the way, is it possible to change the reflectance of the material in this case? Thank you in advance.

    • @noseman
      @noseman  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      any of the coloured pieces can have a different material.

  • @huleeb4618
    @huleeb4618 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey, Great Tutorial! Questions:
    How do I get some reflection in the colors like at 23:46?
    And how do I get more rounded edges on the slices? Like it was showed in the render at the end.
    Thanks a lot!

    • @noseman
      @noseman  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      this is rendered using Redshift, so the rounded edges is created by the Round Corners Utility Node. The reflections are nothing more than lights. This is a Default Redshift material that has a Display Colour Utility Node in the colour input.

      @@noseman Thank you for taking the time to answer my question! I will check Redshift out.
