Why are there so many children going to war!! Where are their parents, Vander and the few adults in this game need to send them home, it's probably past there curfew anyways. But serious time now, Anna needs to be taken of the map after 10 turns as its her bed time. 🛌
I’ll note that my primary use of astra storm is to kite bosses on any map. For chapter 23 for example (whatever the lava map is) you can aggro the boss from 20 spaces away with a sniper/Alcryst and skip the freeze gimmicks. Sure you can warp strat but as well, but forcing boss movement immediately requires no staff bot team
Thede videos are my favorite among your new ones. This and the missed opportunities. Your content is still just as interesting as when I first pulled up. Very nice.
Yea I think I picked up on this build by watching your videos and I ran it on my maddening run and it was great. I don't have framme for bonded shield so I run holdout on Anna for survivability. Also I've tried to move Lyn off Anna but there's really nobody who needs her more.
Fun challenge run would be: ~ No Engaging (outside of forced engage), all rings are allowed to be equipped ~ No Wyvern Knights ~ No Starsphere inheritance, exceptions are you can inherit Starsphere for Vander, Bunet, and Jade only ~ No Sword/Axe/Lance Power ~ Your personal go to top 3 characters cannot be used (Alear does not count as one of your top 3) ~ Must run a full army and everyone deployed must receive exp from enemy units for every map (exp does not need to be distributed equally) ~ A good chunk of exp from DLC maps must be left untouched to reduce over leveling (i.e. no waiting to kill Tiki map reinforcements) ~ Everything else is free game
One thing that could be interesting is running Zelkov on Wolf Knight instead of Framme on Martial Master. Zelkov's passive actually makes a lot of sense for a Lucina user. The speed growth will be the same as Framme on Martial Master but Wolf Knight's base speed is a whopping 5 points higher. Zelkov's notable supports are Kagetsu, Ivy, and Jean.
@@ProtoTypeFM this is true! You could try doing chip damage plus applying poison and hobble, but that sounds pretty mid. Alternatively you could try running lance power and just equip daggers while bonded shielding and pull out your lance to kill stuff when not bonded shielding.
i've done wolf knight bonded shield zelkov and it's very good - it allows you to also use dagger chain attacks a lot more offensively against bosses because of poison stacking and Anna and Jean are both very similar offensively as Mage Knights. it's a chore to try to train both Anna and Jean unfortunately but it's extremely fun. Wolf Knights in general holding Lucina I think are worth considering even if 100% Bonded Shield applies only to Cavalry units
With DLC you can literally do the best of both worlds by having Qi adept chain guards (and 100% bond shield) AND daggers (On chain attacks thanks to Lucina)
@@nak113 the point about bonded shield cavalry units is interesting. My strongest Jean was as mage knight, and I feel like Ivy would also be a strong mage knight. I'd definitely have to give that a shot. Maybe run Kagetsu as paladin and Alear as... idk another paladin? Zelkov as wolf knight and Lucina makes me want to try a cavalry unit playthrough.
Love lil lady Anner. That build you had is no joke exactly what I had on my last Maddening run. It is just so good. I wish tomes had a better passive for damage, but I guess they are strong already with dire thunder. Which Celine uses. Ignis with dire thunder is so damn good.
The best art for bonded shield user is which ever one has Dawn engrave on it typically you don’t want a -5 damage debuff on a bonded shield user but do you lol
@@ProtoTypeFM hey if it works it works some of those endgame enemies have pretty crazy hit rates on maddening and getting one shot by an engage attack by an enemy is always 100% hit rate but it’s very few chances for that to happen it’s a single player game so do whatever is fun
@@ljthompson3011 engage attacks stop being a problem after chapter 17 tbh, Marnie and Griss after that can easily be handled, and Frammes avo can skyrocket just as much as enemy hitrates, 10 from her passive, 90 from Dual Support, 8 from Lucinas speed buff, 10 from Flashfist, 40 from Eirika, then add her own speed, and potentially more from inherit skills.
I would run Chrom with Anna if shes in a bonded shield team. Chrom offers extremely good speed boost, the engage attack syncs with lucina to get chain attacks also you can use levin sword with it so you still do the same thing during enemy phase. But Chroms engage attack is mostly useless due to it scales on strength and robin be like "lol... + 10 magic"
@@betonamu7514 i dont agree , mage knight has 5% speed growth. Meaning you have to have 21 more level ups in griffin knight over the mage knight if you want have more speed than the mage knight.
@@betonamu7514 Gryphon Knight only has 4 less base magic and only 10% less growth. That is hardly a difference when you get so much more speed and dex and the ability to fly on gryphon knight. It synergizes so well with Annas already high magic speed and dex making her an absurdly strong dodge tank that can one round almost every enemy in the game. Trust me it is beyond broken.
I like to run Anna as griffen Knight for 20lvs, then reclass to sage for capped speed, and run pandreo for 20 lbs in high priest and reclass to sword griffen. It let's Anna cap her speed as sage to run Nova, and Pandreo gets a little extra magic to deal damage as a Griffen, while giving me a unit for both those role the whole mid to endgame
I've been running Chrom on Anna, basically just as a stat-stick. The weapons are useless, and her strength is too low to make use of Great Levin Sword (or whatever it's called). Getting 10 extra magic when engaged is absolutely nuts. The extra dex and speed are useful too.
I mean I don’t use Anna personally cause kids in war just don’t fit for me but I see the value of Anna and don’t get people who think she’s a bad investment unit
i dont see the difference between a kid or anyone else dying in war. i can see in the real world because they are too weak to put up decent fight. but in fire emblem they can be stronger than seasoned mercenaries.
Some people think literally any unit that needs ANY investment is trash. As long as a unit can "theoretically" get the job done, they think anything over that is a waste. These are the same people whose strategies tend to fall apart when a single 70% attack misses, because their strategies don't calculate for any redundancy or overflow.
@@justwantawholename I agree. I’m not saying Pandreo is always objectively better than Anna. But it is quite literally a bad faith argument to say that Anna snowballs “better” than Pandreo. Both units have low defenses and are perfect bonded shield baits. And let’s not pretend Framme is the only Lucina user - Alear or any cav unit that have supports with Mage Knight Anna or Pandreo can work. In that respect, Pandreo maxes out on build, which Anna can’t actually do. Additionally his passive makes him an ever better dodge tank. You only run Anna depending on your team comp and if you want to make extra money. Again, they perform just as good as one another in this Mage Knight role but let’s not pretend Anna “snowballs” and does the job better than Pandreo.
Griffin Knight is better for Levin Sword Anna as the speed growth is higher and speed cap is significantly higher. Mage Knight honestly is one of the worst classes in the game and one should just stick to sages for tome usage as this provides your stave utility as well.
