Fr tho these talks helped me so much this year. Made me feel less lonely, like there were actually people out there with the same mind set as me because you and your friends are sooo relatable. These videos also just inspired me so much to be an independent human with dreams and values.

Woah. I just watched this and for whatever reason it gave me an answer to a solution I've been looking for a while. Idk why I never thought about it this way but the point of a career is to do something you love and try to get paid for it, not do something that pays you and try to love it.

i think trying to having a critical discussion abt gender with a cis person is really just the opposite and like, especially the way it was talked about, it shows that like you actually probably dont interact with many transgender folks in a personal and platonic way lol. nobody needs new words for “he/she” he and she are literally “new” words attributed to the gender binary that we created. it isnt about comfort, it’s literally just a testament to the fickality of gender and how humans are the ones creating the narrative. idk if this makes sense completely, but basically we aren’t really making new words for he/she we’re coming to the understanding that gender is a construct spread by colonialism so it really doesn’t matter what anyone calls themselves lmao

I finally took a dive into Damon's channel last week after watching one of the french lessons again. I think one of the reasons I've loved watching his videos and have found myself binging them for so long is the sense of human connection they provide. Like watching these I realize how important other people are and how lonely I and the people around me are. Looking introspectively I'm so disconnected from everyone and haven't just talked with another person that's not my dad lecturing me in so long. Definitely yearning to get the chance to just go places and connect with people and friends when I can move out
I experience the same! Being stuck in your same old town, same old high school with same old people, your scope of humanity is so small, it's impossible to expand your view even if you are actively talking to people. Moving out in September and I can't wait. +I hope you will achieve and experience the things you want when you move out too, cheers
