Kelvie was snow white with red feet and was born in a Kelvinator in +2c; I did not eat her...

Ricky when my daughter was small, it was just me and her. I was in bed reading and on the opposite wall was the biggest arachnid I have ever see outside a zoo (in AUSTRALIA). It was headed for the built in wardrobe. I had schooled myself to deal with smaller scale spiders but this was beyond me.
So, I did what any sensible arachnophobe would do. I phoned the local police and threw myself on their mercy. They came. 1am, 2 of Essex' finest man mountains arrived and argued about who would tackle the beast. Neither wanted to. I was almost losing my mind by then. They hijacked it with a towel and escorted it off the premises.
