I understand why the scrutiny is there, but lets' be real most of the issues here come down to budget. It's obvious that a lot of the money went into the cinematography and if I remember right the crowd fund got like £40k-ish, so if we assume Drinker chucked another 40 of his own money that's still only £80k for the whole shebang for filming, actors, stunt coordinators, editors, marketing (which to be fair was minimal). Don't get me wrong, we absolutely should hold these guys to the standards they set for everyone else, but you also have to acknowledge that Drinker is one man and at the very least I imagine it was basically a 1-2-1 of the book. That's more that can be said of any adaptation of an existing IP any of the big companies do.
You say let's be real then state nothing factual... The budget was £300,000 and nowhere near £80k. I have no idea how or where you plucked that figure from. Same for your guess that Will Jordan personally put in £40,000. Then you state that Drinker is "a one man band". If you've actually watched the film or know what you're talking about you'd know that Rogue Elements had 2 writers. Then there are all the additional assistants and producers, etc. "most of the issues come down to budget". Demonstrably and factually not true. I'll list just a few issues that have nothing to do with budget: Bad writing Terrible accents 2 girl bosses Awful casting Crappy script and dialogue An absence of realism I could go on and on. Literally none of those are down to finances. This is why I compared Rogue Elements to Jones Plantation, a £35,000 feature film of significantly better quality. Quality is not dependent on budget, especially good writing. You're making alot of effort to defend at best mediocre output from Will Jordan/Drinker.
@@TH-camWillCensorThis Mate, you seem to have gotten the wrong end of the stick here. I'm not claiming the movie is good, I just don't see hypocrisy. Drinker has never said that woman being "badass" is bad. Girl bosses are bad, and those two things aren't the same. When it comes to the money, fair enough I just remember a crowd fund that got something like £40k. Again, I am not claiming the movie is good seen as it does look pretty mediocre at best, but mediocre is still better than dogshit, and having a couple of not quite believable female characters doesn't make him a hypocrite.
@@SweatyBaps I never said that you claimed Rogue Elements is good. I said you're working hard to defend it and Critical Drinker. However, he has repeatedly criticised content that has know it all/do it all female characters who fight off bigger stronger men and walk off taking no damage. Completely unrealistic aka Girl boss. He literally has 2 girl bosses in his own film/pilot. He is a demonstrable hypocrite who displays clear double standards, whether you acknowledge this fact or not.
Regarding the girl holding back the knife. You said the guy had 'gravity on his side' but that's literally all he has as you cant impart any additional force downwards without coming off the floor, so she only has to hold up less than his bodyweight which might be possible. I couldn't bring myself to watch it when he put it up on his channel cause i knew it would probably be a bit naff now I'm wondering if his books are any good either😅
What?? The idea of me forcing a knife downwards on a girl of that build and her resisting means effectively she can out bench me. She can’t out bench me. If she has super powers or something then a show is a show. But there is no girl on this planet of that build that could pull that off with a man of that build. And of course gravity is in effect. He puts his weight on the knife. She has to push against his weight AND her own. Not sure why I’m commenting on this lol?
@@BradleyAidanJohnson his weight AND her own? what's her own weight got to do with anything? she's on the floor😅 women’s 62kg bench wr is nearly 150kg, so this girl is doing 60% of this and doesn't even need to move the bar.
As soon as I read your channel info I subbed. You can see thru lies. ✊🏻

LOL yeah good point. This was pretty bad and you're right, it's exactly the same shit he critiques everyone else for.
