So this is the anti woke answer to Hollywood huh? Make the most generic and boring action movie ever, and peppered in with a sprinkling of some of the same stuff they complain about?
Ryan Drake is a Drinker self insert. Bland as a door knob. Which is sad since he views himself as a boring stoic guy with no charisma that gets saved by women. Also all the accents were just dodgy.
@cable7152 We've lost a SOLDIER in the war against THE MESSAGE! He'll turn TRANS next! He already appeared NONBINARY in his cameo, cucked by a woman! WHAT IS A WOMAN?!
I was expecting to see more reviews for this. It really is bad. I cannot take a word Critical Drinker says seriously now. It's verging on childish. I laughed out loud on numerous occasions. And I'm a regular watcher of CD's work.
Gonna be honest, I think some of his biggest fans/supporters are probably avoiding talking about it because it’s hard to discuss without either shit-talking him or looking like a moron
Dude!!! You made me laugh so hard I peed!!! 😂 only because you are completely correct. He’ll use Brie Larson as a way to market his film by blaming her. 😂
Critical Drinker movie sucks real bad, YoungRippa comic sucks real bad (it's called Isom in case you're wondering)...hilarious considering they seems to know what is good and what's not, yet when they get the chance to shine guess what? they suck real bad !!!

@edgierthanthou I dared...and I did...and with no regrets. I'm certain Neil Breen as a director on a Tommy Wisesu production featuring a cast of some of the currently most politically outlandish Hollywood has-beens would still deliver something more uniquely memorable than whatever the Critical Drinker is able to script from his online video rants.
Yeah, you went really easy on him. I actually think this is a complete failure. Barely 20% of his audience watched it. The reception is very mixed. Reading through the comments, I'd say 50/50. The whole thing suffers from the very same things CD often critiques and overall is just badly written. The RPG scene is like one of the worst things I've seen in a while. Completely ridiculous, unintentionally hilarious and absolutely retarded. Don't understand how that got in. But the worst part is that nobody even talks about this project including CD's fellow youtubers and even CD himself. It's like they know it's terrible so they're just trying to avoid it, move on and forget. Like an admission of failure.
@@ihearvoices8881 this is fair! I think I go easy on media altogether and I don’t feel too much need to force myself to go hard on TCD because I already do all the time and have absolutely torn into him before. @TomTriyingtothink The video has 230k views so far and it's not gonna be getting many more now. I based the percentage on a couple of his most recent videos surrounding the movie's release which got around 1.5 milion views each. If his regular audience actually goes into 2 millions as you suggest, then the movie's performance is even worse.
@@ihearvoices8881 Okay that's a shame but still 230k people watching your first movie is pretty good. My hope is he might be getting sick of the grift and start making mid movies instead. When I said his audience was 2 million I meant his subsciber count beacause everaging out the number of views on his videos would be boring and not worth my time.
@TomTriyingtothink you don’t find it odd that his video on Captain America 4, a movie which has not come out yet, has over 7X the views of his actual movie? Because to me it reads like his audience couldn’t be bothered to care
It doesn't matter if a movie's entire plot only takes place on a single day, there still should be some character arc to least some of the characters. There are countless movies that show only a single day or a day and a night, or two days or whatever, and still the characters have an arc. You could basically make a movie that "happens in real time" and STILL THEN at least the main character should have SOME character arc of sorts....
Looks great from what you showed me. I am interested to see how the women characters are handled. I agree the dude is always complaining about DEI and Women in movies. I have watched Men dominate the space for a good portion of my life. I always thought the Boss Women stuff was cute and endearing. I like Lucy and Anna and Morgan and Salt and Hanna, and Ghost in the Shell, Damsel. I thought they were all great for a change of Pace and because I enjoy watching beautiful women as strong leads if the actress is talented or hot, it's very fun imho. In regard to Diversity, just watch Wicked. It's Diversity done to perfection. I am a fan of DEI. Its nice to see more color in these casts of characters.
I watch the Critical Drinker. I wouldn't say I am a fan but I am entertained by his content, even if I don't agree with a lot of what he say.. I think this was a very fair review. He is up against it really. He should expect to have his work scrutinized given what his channel is all about. When I saw he'd co-authored a book with James Patterson it all made sense. They used to call it pulp fiction.

that was a good review man. I liked it. I liked how you were generous to the crazy effort of actually making something, but also slaughtered the writting only on the terms the critical drinker had already set. I fucking hate the critical drinker but i have a deep love of people making art and movies from a place of passion and fighting against the odds to make it happen. And I have to say this film I thought was technichally pretty well put together for a super low budget passion project. It is true; conservatives cannot make art.
