I haven't been in a relationship since 24. I'm 39, no children, no friends with benefits, yes have some assests, elderly mother now living with me. Not the life I imagined when I was a teenager. When you tell people 'no children' they certainly look at you differently....

The problem is women today bro. All think they are above and beyond and have unrealistic expectations. Even older average women think they can get away with a much younger good looking man. Society has done a brainwash.. many men are struggling as the world is becoming single. I consider myself a good looking dude at 37, I workout often and have a good physique, tattoos, and my own small business yet I still struggle to get matches on Tinder or find a woman. So I have become content with being single 7 years now.

Solitude is perfectly fine, but don't confuse that with building walls and finding reasons to not being with others. If you don't have a social network, including good friends or family, you may have a larger problem. We are all social creatures, even if we feel otherwise. Im 48 married and have an 8 years old daughter. I completly get why people dont want kids nowadays. Its not easy, completly drains your wallet and you lose hrs and hrs of sleep. You literally sacrifice your life and time to raise a little one. My personal experience has been that my daughter is a blessing and is the only person in my life that I love with all my heart.

Relationships are a massive headache and burdensome. The sex gets old & dull in no time. After some time, you realize your just sharing your life with someone who is miserable, never happy, constantly making demands, controlling where you can go or what you can do, printing the blueprint for "our lives together," incessantly creating drama over trivial things, making you responsible for their happiness, etc etc. I find this to be the norm in almost every single relationship for men out there. We do all this all for some grand illusion of being loved by someone, which mostly turns up being a farce. I so so very wish I could turn back the hand of time to ten years ago when I was 20, if only I knew then ... I'd run like the wind from any and all relationships. If I was 30 today and still a virgin, I'd choose that in a heartbeat over everything i've put myself through from this propoganda BS thing we call 'love.'

Add 13 years to your age and that's where I'm at. The marriage and fatherhood ship has sailed and neither occurred, too late for that. Instead dealing with a debilitating illness. 99% of my family is gone and am just riding it out, the past 2 years have been rough and basically life-changing. A real wake-up call. After 40+ years friends have either moved away, gotten married or passed on. Never in a million years did I think it would play out this way. I don't really like it but it is what it is.

Wow. I am a 28 years old woman, and I’ve silently made the decision to spend my life alone on purpose. My life has been surrounded by broken relationships. If you asked me to name three successful marriages or relationships in my life, I’d probably couldn’t, but I could name a hundred bad ones.
