The investigator seems like a nice man. By treating him hostile, the defense lawyer ends up looking like a bully and a jerk. He could have gotten the same information by asking questions nicely.
I respectfully disagree. Defense attorneys want and need to "rattle" witnesses to throw them off, and I believe it made him look bad. Also Magbanua hired him to defend her life. Not to be nice to people trying to put her behind bars.
@@ChrisinChicago - Attorney being a jerk, being rude gives the jury reason to dislike him which doesn't help defendant. You must be another defense attorney who isn't very smart with thinking that way.
@42:31 they actually share a joke & Det. Laughs with him. Zealous advocacy for your clients life might look passionate & incredibly precise at times. If everyone would just do the Crime and tell the truth and accept the lawful consequences for their actions; we wouldn't need court. Also, this judge has got this room handled. I wish the Parkland & Alex Jones case was as adeptly wrangled, with all lawyers promptly apologizing for their mistakes as well. This court room is a shark tank, and the Jury doesn't have to like a lawyer to judge correctly on the evidence. Which In this case is lacking due in part to the actions of a 30-40 yr. EXPERIENCED LEO DETECTIVE. And, yes, Prosecution assumes their portion of wanting certain elements private. But IMO - these omissions of potentially inculpatory discoverable evidence is suspicious.
The defense attorney questioning this nice law enforcement officer, now retired, reminds me of a used car salesman. I would NEVER put my life in his hands. What a Hack!
I can’t believe these defense attorneys…all 3 of them… Garcia, Magbanua and Rivera! I’ve never seen such incompetence. Even the Judge is losing his patience with all of them!!
LMAO, in fact this witness undermines the whole case, it shows how weak their evidence is against katherine, by alleging the boob job and money records alone convict her. no murder weapon found to match up with physical evidence on scene.. weak case all around
There is no point asking the witness if he has any evidence of this or that if he has not even made an effort to obtain these evidences. Katherine's defense attorney did a very good job showing that in many instances there were not even made necessary steps to get any sort of objective evidence. Would have been more right to ask "Do you have any evidence of that? - No - Have you tried to obtain any evidence? - No".. totally different picture.
It should be easy to verify whether someone works somewhere or not. Income tax records. Unless of course she didn't declare the income from the cash tips. Does the IRS watch these?
Retired Lead investigator not doing well. Memory is gone. Looks bad for him. He can't remember what he said in his deposition. Had memory lapses or was lying. Lawyer made him eat his words over and over again. Hmmmm.
He's doing a great job. The investigator retired and no one recalls every detail. It's SOP to refresh memory with depositions. It's done in almost EVERY trial.
It would be nice and respectful if this witness had the courtesy to adhere to dress code and to refrain from smirking - that would give him more credibility
I agree with the guilt here but I personally feel that this judge gives bias towards the prosecution. He interrupts defense, calls for a break during a heated moment on the Lexus & there isn’t a balance of sustained objections. He tells defense to “move along”, essentially hurry, when these things are important to our justice system. Speaking generally, false convictions are a problem in our country. Georgia, though I like her, is allowed plenty of lengthy time to linger with witnesses whereas the defense does not have the same treatment. Biased.

I agree 100%, it puts the jury in a position to essentially witness bullying, and no one likes that.

That drawing is a masterpiece. Luis is next Van Gogh, I would buy that drawing 🤣
That drawing made me laugh out loud
Really enjoyed this investigator testimony. No nonsense straight shooter guy.
I love this detective! He did a fantastic job on the stand.

Abs agree… defense attorney grasping for straws, rediculous
Your honor, The witness is not on trial here. His investigation, is ment for the prosecution and defense to question the accused, not witnesses
Her male attorney is way over zealous moving around like a jack rabbit
I'm beginning to dislike this judge. He's letting the prosecutor get by with all sorts of wrong questioning

Its baffling to me that they didnt record Garcia's 2nd interview....

The first interview with Louis Rivera
All these south Florida attorneys are jokes, just like their clients, now i understand why Katie is in jail , most unlikable attorney ever.

Hmm do you still feel the same way after she admitted she admitted to being paid by Charlie Adelson?

Ding Ding Ding!!!
They were paying her for doing nothing
I'm sorry but this judge is very biased - hard to watch
Does this sorry old judge ever rule for the defense. He needs to retire.
Judge did a GREAT job!
He's a procescuters judge.
The police work in this case is terrible.
shoddy shoddy shoddy
the prosecutions case is also terrible, the police work is aweful, and they aren't even including the adelson's in the charges,
Totally agree… such a big case with so many people involved and such mediocre investigation … disappointing 🤯

It's a combination of all the factors: his age, fact that he retired, time passed, and initial lack of proper investigation esp of the Adelson's

The tipping of justice is way to heavy on the prosecution side. No true justice in Tallahassee.
The lack of evidence is evidence. What a terribly broken system, and what a bent judge.
