This may help some, but what I found helps me to perfect parry better is to always keep my finger on the block button. Then, when going for a perfect parry, I let go of the button, then come back to pressing it down once for the parry. What this did for me was it prevented me from trying to use the parry button too quickly. It removed in my mind the fear of getting hit, since perfect parrying ultimately leaves you feeling vulnerable. Since my finger is already on the block button i'm protected with minimal damage, if I don't react fast enough with perfect parry. Hope that makes sense. You can do it with a string of enemy attacks and it works.
Man I really want to enjoy this game and people seem to just have an easy time with it. I know it's me and not the game as everyone is talking about how good the combat is. I just cannot connect with the timing of the blocks, parrys and dodges. You make it seem so easy and I just get my face melted. 😭
It is because you are focusing too much on feeling left behind and going in already defeated. Just relax and dont be nervous, it is only a game and retry as many times as you want, you have no one to impress 😄👍 it will click
I was in the same boat. I did the boss challenge 30 times before I beat it. My problem was rushing in mashing buttons. Best way I learned, was keep your distance and prolong the fight as long as possible. Got my timing down for dodge/block, hit some, back away. Now I'm beating it 9 times out of 10 and hardly taking damage. You'll get it! Believe me, if I can anyone can lol
You can unlock skills in her skill tree to make parries and dodges a bit easier. It's all about timing and practice so don't get frustrated and know that the people that have an easy time has spent hours and hours making it look easy -- they just don't show all the times spent practicing.

This video is pretty good however, you missed some details my friend Regarding the blue and pink attacks, there is a visual queue of when you need to trigger your dodge skill After you see, the first signal of the attack, which is the coloring around the enemy, a moment later, your sword will flash with the same color of the attack and that is your queue, to activate your dodge skill Aside from that, it wouldn’t hurt to have the inputs listed for whatever skill that is the focus at the moment But other than these two things, the video was great, and I look forward to more of your content

You didn’t really explain when to attack. The blue gives you a good tutorial but for the life of me I can’t dodge or run away from them. The counter is easy but if I try to run away and double dodge as soon as they turn blue I get hit every time. Also the first bosses lightning attack. How do you dodge it? He runs away and spams me with it and I can’t do anything to not lose 3/4 of my hp. Fun game but I hate “go figure it out online” tutorials.

I know exactly what you mean! I’m still going to buy this but it gets so annoying and the pay off is really nill. Idk if I have crappy timing but it’s almost impossible for me to land them and when I do I feel it’s a fluke. It gets jarring at times and puts me off of the game.
