Do you need to look brown and red to be considered native Indian? NO natives of America have diverse looks and skin hues you are probably just racist as those race supremacist supporters
I want to see folks at Odanak take DNA tests too. It is a popularity contest right now and Canadian law, if a native woman marries a white guy, they lose status. My great grandmother married a Scotsman and we lost our status at Odanak. I had my DNA done and I am 13.9% native American, which matches to grand parents and great grand parent level. No one is talking about this for Canadian law. Jacque Watso's mother, the same thing happened, he was a Thibadaux, father French/white. They aren't presenting a balanced view.
It's mindboggling that these "tribes" got state recognition - a lot of wheeling and dealing to be sure. Elnu's Sheehan uses the surname "Longtoe" - sounds very Native American, doesn't it, but it's just the English pronunciation (corrupted a bit over time) of the French surname 'Lanctot' (which in French is pronounced fairly close to "long-toe). I thnk his group originally started out as reenactors. Race-shifting and 'aspirational descent' to the extreme.
