    My dermatologist prescribed this product to me back in January. For a month I applied it several times a day (my dr. told me “every time you remember to do it”, I later read in the box it should be every time you wash your hands, I did it at least 3 times a day).
    IT WORKED. After this is I got to have long-ish nails for the first time in my life 😭 (tears of joy). It didn’t fix all my nails problems, they were still bendy (O have the Mavala hardener and I like it but I’m lazy and don’t use it as often as I should).
    I just bought another two pens (one in my bathroom, one for my purse) because I want to use it again everyday. It’s a bit but I would say one pen can last 2-3 months using it 3 times a day. I do recommend it 👍🏼

      Thank you! Do you know if to continue to see results one needs to continue using it indefinitely? Asking because that’ll mean no nail polish :(

    • @verosdes
      @verosdes 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@nadineF 🤔 I’m not sure. I stopped using it for about three months before repurchasing. I did keep on feeling my nails overall healthier than before using this product but not as nice as when I was using it daily, that’s why I repurchased. Now I’m using it way less often than in January (once or twice a day) because I forget hehe. But I think it’s a good thing that I forget: it means I don’t feel the urgen need to heal my nails anymore.
      I would suggest doing an intensive treatment for one or two months, and when you feel like your nails are healthier transition to using the treatment in your “rest days” between nail polishes. From time to time you could do another intensive period, maybe not as long as the first time. You’ll feel the difference and notice when you’re more comfortable with your nails ☺️

      @@TheSalonLife Thank YOU for your videos! I’ve learned so much from them!
      One detail I forgot to mention: in that first month of use I didn’t register the “one click per nail” instruction. I clicked only when the pen was dry. In this second round I am following that instruction, we’ll see how much of a difference it makes… I think one can get good results stretching the product BUT applying very often.

    • @TheSalonLife
      @TheSalonLife  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I agree with you! To be honest that 1 click per nail seems a bit excessive.
      Doing 1 click per 2 nails and applying product twice a day might yield better results.

    That is a really good product. My nails have become really bad after eating accutane 2 years ago. I even have a bit of nail separation on one of my big toes. This pen made my nails stronger again and seems to have helped with the toenail that is separated. I also used it a bit under the seperated nail.

    I want to like this product but the price for only 2.5ml made my jaw drop. The funding for the study done by them made me roll my eyes lol. I would love to see the difference between this product Vs nail oil used daily for nail brittleness. And when you stop using this, your new nail growth will go back to what it was before. So you have to use it constantly to maintain the stronger nails. So no nail polish 😭

    • @TheSalonLife

      Very good points. Or weekly oil soaks. But who is going to fund such study, that’s the problem. I think usually companies who come up with products conduct the studies.
      CND Rescue RXx pen is not cheap either. It’s 2.5 ml and like 15€ here. That would be an interesting study too! Comparing both.

    Thank you for your research and this video, Anna! It’s impressive to come across a product where nearly 100% of subjects report improvement in government-published studies! Reviews on Amazon are good too. Yes, it’s pricey, but if one has these types of problematic nails and it works, it’s worth it! I used your link and will be trying this with hopes that it will help eliminate the peeling and vertical ridges I have on some of my nails…hopefully the chronic splits on two ridgy nails will be “cured”.

    I hesitated quite some time to try this pen, due to the prize 😅 . The mavala (which I think contains keratin and mastic too) helped quite a bit but my nails still peeled so I gave the pen a try. What can I say is that after only two weeks my nails look and especially feel better.

    I’m not sure why everyone is skeptical that the brand paid for the study. Who else would take the money, time, and effort to run a research trial on a product except for the company who would benefit from its efficacy?
    Most of the negative reviews on Amazon are just people saying there wasn’t anything in the pen, but I wonder if they primed it with the 25 clicks. I ordered it and am trying because I have spent so much on products that don’t work, what’s a higher price for something else that might actually work?

    May try this. My nails are only just recovering from my use of Base Abricot. It made my nails extremely thin and prone to splitting and breaking and peeling - all the bad things. Ironically Crème Abricot is making them better but that does not have nail hardeners in it, just the lanolin that seems to be the magic ingredient. I bought a tin of pure lanolin and apply that during the day. Seems moisturising is what my nails need. Tempted by the new shiny product though.

    • @TheSalonLife
      @TheSalonLife  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That is very strange about Base Abricot. I have never had that happen. Nails just like our body need several ingredients to keep them healthy. I wouldn't advise pure lanolin. More is not always better.
      Nails and skin around the nails will greatly benefit from urea, glycerin, jojoba as well. Don't limit yourself to 1 ingredient. That's like eating only blueberries because they are healthy.

    Interesting product. I agree with @maeldias nail rituals. The issue being the research bias! Importantly, how were the subjects treating their nails before the study? If one goes from no-care to any-care, like any nail oil (especially every time the hands are washed) they would probably see significant improvement. This product does look great for the ease of application but really, who’s going to use this even 3 times a day? Looking forward to seeing your objective trial! It would be a good idea to do one off MSL’s hands with a different product for a more objective comparison.

    • @TheSalonLife
      @TheSalonLife  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The product is designed to be used once a day. So it would be good to compare it to using oil once a day.
      I have to say MSL nails are looking slightly better. Like he oiled them but he didn’t.
      Kind of less dry and bit more shiny. I have to take a closer look.
      I have to say that’s it’s pretty standard to compare something to vs not treated side.
      Then of course different treatments can be compared.
      The fact that the company did the research is not disappointing. At least there was a research and they are not talking out of their arse lol.

    I recently had my thumb nail split in half in the center of the nail starting from the cuticle moving upward, but is stopped by acrylic left on there to prevent it from splitting further. It was caused by some inexperienced manicurists who were using the electric drill on my nail bed instead of the shellac & acrylic. 😠 It took me awhile to figure out what was happening. Now it looks horrific, but thank God it doesn't hurt.
    I just received this SI-Nails pen and want to use it, but am unsure if it will help heal my torn nail bed? I noticed on the box it says "Do not apply to surrounding skin surfaces." I know my nail is split, but I do not believe I am seeing the skin underneath it. I believe there is still a nail bed, but it's very thin. Do you think it would be okay to put this product on the entire surface of this tear? Thanks so much for your help. Thank you for posting this video.💞

    I have psoriasis in my nails. psoriasis causes your nail to be weak, and brittle, pitting and thickening of the nail bed. I'm interested to find out if this helps psoriasis sufferers. When my psoriasis is under control on my arms and legs, I only have 2 nails affected by psoriasis. but when I'm stressed, I have 4 or 5 nails affected. So I'm trying to work out if it would or wouldn't help. I'll buy it and do my own experiment (with the hope I don't make things worse for myself lol). Great video though.
