I dont know what clip you’re watching but it was most certainly a recovery or he wouldn’t have scored. He didn’t just wave dash to land, he recognized he was on the wrong side of the ball while landing so he held powerslide and wave dashed to the right to get to the other side of the ball to catch it and go upfield.
