You fool. He spoke about fuel economy, as if it was something important. It's a Bentley. If you can afford to spend $500k on this car, you don't care about fuel economy. And, it's never been a Better.
I care little for how exorbitant the price is, or the fact that it's a convertible (I'd rather the coupe) - I freaking adore this beast. Such immense presence, opulence, and performance - it truly is one of a kind.
Absolutely nailed the review, mate! It’s a fantastic car but I hear bentley’s aren’t really that reliable and the depreciation on these cars is mind blowing but anyhow is a fun car for sure and would definitely put a smile on your face every time.
Paul, I recommend you to wear half faced helmet during on the road test with these convertibles, you know, just for safety purposes 😅 anyways you are hands down the best car reveiwer on TH-cam! More power to your team.🥂
Wonder of you can get a Custom Hood Ornament, with those pretty wings that align the Center of the Road for the Driver, anyone know? And what about Radar? And signal Blockers?
Great Review, love your channel. I don’t think anyone paying half a mil will worry about the fuel consumption and small boot, they prob also have a big SUV for that.
First time watching this channel and it’s good to hear an honest view about the good aspects like quality and bad aspects like Back Seat legroom. Not sure on the statement at the beginning suggesting this model will go up in value though.
CarExpert it’s fair to say I was saying that from a British Perspective and so far they have lost that usual value once driven away from the main dealers.
Hey, keep up the good work team. Request:!Could you make some videos about the new Abarth 595/695 and Fiat 500. Apparently cruise control has been added to the latest series Fiat 500 - I know, ground breaking. I’d find it helpful if you could do comparisons between the autos and manuals, hardtops and convertibles of both Abarth’s and Fiat’s.
I love how much you're enjoying yourself. Sound (hear me electric future) is key to the driving experience. Go on, be honest, you deactivated cylinder deactivation because 'f*** the environment, I'm having waaaaay too much fun!!!!!'
I love the way you review cars... Long back with an other organization, you had tested Mahindra xuv500 in India. Understandably roads and traffic sense is classic in India and automotive companies have to tune their suspension and tyres for potholes and that not. As you have traveled across the world how different are Australian roads as you often mention that cars are tuned as per Australian roads... I hardly see any bad roads in Australia esp freeways and metropolitan areas roads. Outback I can understand...
Thanks for the comment, Shrinidh! It's not so much that Australia road quality is poor (there are poor quality roads in every country), it's more that Australia has a unique mix of road conditions. Cars need to be tuned for everything from smooth highways to rutted country roads, to gravel roads and then country roads with gravel washaways. So it becomes infinitely harder to create a global tune that works in Australia, which is why some car companies will custom tune their car suspension systems just for Australia.
What's that Paul, a dual clutch that you like? It must be storming somewhere there in Victoria...it's hard to judge if the car is great when the price tag is almost half a mil... btw that conversion of Kw to Hp was incorrect, i think you meant 636hp, not 535.
I always loved the new redesigned look of this Continental GT ... but for the same price you can get awesome daily driver and also a fun weekend driver even a people mover if you need one ;)
Definitely a good looking car, better than the competitors you showed 👍🏽 I need a lottery win just for one of those hand polished alloys though, let alone the rest of the car 😂 I know everyone has different tastes but I do think some classy walnut trim would suit that interior well. Seems like a really good drivers car, if a bit impractical (even with the roof mechanism that boot is a lot smaller than expected) and I’m surprised that simple things like radar cruise control etc are options. Who wouldn’t have those on their expensive car?
"It is what it is." Some call convertibles, 'decapitators' notioning Jayne Mansfield & James Dean. And, yes Paul. I'd want every Safety Tech out there. Love the 'plain' mash grille as a counter point to most colours including black. Given the Bentley's open top hyper luxury status, you are driving a wealth signalling device, and as such the Bentley's worth ever penny (cent), although back seat & micro boot may be big 'no no -s ' in this lofty company. ps. a bloke in my street in Melb's 'leafy suburbs' had a just acquired a new Bentley Sedan, and to my horror, admitted he was scared to drive it.
They’ve done the convertible design well for sure but I think of those you mentioned the Ferrari was the best looking but I’m not hating on the Bentley I just think the coupe is stunning and the convertible looses some of the sweet design elements of the coupe.
This vehicle is STUNNING but ummm why does it need a compass? BTW Alex I've asked you before and I'll ask you again.... If you ever need a assistant or a hand when do these onsite reviews . You know who to call. Regards Trung Nguyen 😁
I think the Rolls-Royce Dawn is a nicer luxury car that looks better than the Bentley, which now just reminds me of a Bentayga which isn't a compliment. Rolls-Royce interiors are stunning unlike the cheaper looking Bentley models. The starry sky option alone would get my money, let alone the finer detail work. I don't understand why you would want a sports car in your luxury car when you can afford multiple cars,, but thats me. I want as smooth of an experience as possible when driving while having the best interior. Bentley would not be my choice. I would go Porsche 911 Turbo S over Bently, and then Rolls-Royce over both for a luxury car.
Struggling to see the intended audience for this car; Not really a good daily with 2 usable seats, almost no boot and 2400 kgs. If your shopping for a $500k weekend sports car, Bentley is probably not the first that comes to mind... W12 is great though, even if it sounds like a Golf R on upshifts.
Marvelous, you lucky b#^&@>d.Not sure if I should envy you, or hate you. Nice review, as usual.Think..... I'll hate you, because I will never have the change to get behind the wheel of a Bently
Sorry everyone for the power conversion typo! The correct figure is 626 BHP as listed on the Bentley website. - Igor
Nice Review, but a black/black Bentley? That's boring boring.
I genuinely love how Paul is identical in presentation/enthusiasm between the Benters and something far lesser.
Fully agree. I really respect Paul's work
You fool. He spoke about fuel economy, as if it was something important. It's a Bentley. If you can afford to spend $500k on this car, you don't care about fuel economy.

Thanks! Don't forget to share it :-D
About time this guy made his own channel !

Just picked one of these up. Great car! Stump-pulling torque!
Really enjoying your reviews Paul, thank you!
Glad you like them!

People who can afford one, dont care about depreciation !!
mixalis, true that mate
Thanks mate!
Love it Paul. Bentley are killing it with design lately. Big fan of the Continental, definitely the standout of the class
Agreed! It's a stunner :_D
Every GT Continental coupe from 2006 on, is just gorgeous.
The amount of horsepower doesn‘t seem correct. I think you meant to type 636 bhp instead of 535 bhp
You are correct it should be 636 bhp. The V8 version would be about 500 bhp, not sure on exact figure for that
You're right, sorry about that!
Lost of love from Pakistan 🇵🇰
Nice car and another good video Paul.
Thanks 👍
Stunning

Hi, what’s the brand and model of the smart watch you have on?
It’s a Fitbit Charge 3 :-)
WOW I don't think I've seen it in this spec (triple black) before. Stunning. Like WOWEE.
Yes, it is the best looking covertible in this segment! Really like bentley in general. Really a nice luxury brand.
Agreed!
Wonder of you can get a Custom Hood Ornament, with those pretty wings that align the Center of the Road for the Driver, anyone know?

Great review Paul... I am hoping to get one as a retirement gift to myself... was looking at a Merc, but you just sold me... wow.
Bentley is not just a car but a dream
Hi, can I have this model with ceramic brakes as option? Txs
I love the space it has inside
Great work! pleasure to watch
Another great review. Thanks guys. Now to buy a lottery ticket!!
Get us one too!
Nice Review Mate! 😎

Good job mate 👍🏼
Thanks for the visit
Great Review, love your channel.
I don’t think anyone paying half a mil will worry about the fuel consumption and small boot, they prob also have a big SUV for that.
Their "Other Car" is probably a Cullinan or a Bentayga, with a lowly Rangey to visit the workers' allotment at the bottom of the estate.
Thanks, and agree with the sentiment!
Great review! Ridiculous boot!
Not as good as the boot in an AU Falcon.
😅 true!

It is truly such a beautiful and prestigious car. But all I might say is, what till we see the next generation! 😄🙌🏻🥳

Who is the Dealership in Melbourne & Sydney ?
There are a few of them around the place in both Melbourne and Sydney.
I just saw a video how they are made on ch.9 network Rush. What a super & wonderful Place. 💙
Such a stunning automobile.
What's that Paul, a dual clutch that you like? It must be storming somewhere there in Victoria...it's hard to judge if the car is great when the price tag is almost half a mil... btw that conversion of Kw to Hp was incorrect, i think you meant 636hp, not 535.
Ha ha - it seems like they get better with a bigger price tag! Thanks for pointing out the discrepancy.
Why isn't the rotating display panel flush with the dashboard
It sits slightly inward of the dashboard.
Great review .
Paul for you, which crossover is best?
Depends on budget :-D
Not sure about the tail LiGHT s but a great car but then I am a big fan OF the big B . Are they made in UK 🇬🇧.
Yes, still made at Crewe in the UK!
I always loved the new redesigned look of this Continental GT ... but for the same price you can get awesome daily driver and also a fun weekend driver even a people mover if you need one ;)
True!
just here for the hardness test!
😄
How many in Australia ? Is it worth reviewing?
10 at most
Damn were those air bubbles under the infotainment screen?
Just the plastic screen protector - I didn't want to be the guy that pulled it off the screen 😅
@@CarExpertAus Thank God, I was sitting here like all that money for a blatant defect!

Fair enough!
Why dont they just make the roof hard top like Ferrari Portafino ?
This is awesome
My dream car one day I'll own one
Looks like it's doing lightning speed while still stationary, I love hard top ones more
It does look like it's in motion all the time, you're right!
It is a coverter transmission not a dual clutch
It is a nice vehicle. However, I chose to buy the 2022 Lexus LC500 convertible. More luxury and dependability, at a value price point.
Optional AEB and Radar cruise?! Are they on crack? For close to 500K you’d expect it to have more safety tech than a Yaris. 🤣
This vehicle is STUNNING but ummm why does it need a compass?
BTW Alex I've asked you before and I'll ask you again.... If you ever need a assistant or a hand when do these onsite reviews . You know who to call.

If the luggage don't fit, bung it in the back seat. I'll take the car.
So sad about the Boot space & no space saver.

That is a sexy AF car .
Agreed!
Drops to 6 cylinders to save fuel! Ha - my Ford Focus drops to 2! For the win! Lol.
😅
Wait, what?? 467KW is 634BHP... For future reference, 1KW=1.35HP
It’s a mistake. Already picked up by others 😁
Amazing car but it's also amazingly crap at being a car also. A car that can't fit a suitcase is a bit like a bus that can't fit passengers.
Definitely true, it's surprisingly impractical.
Peter Sims Bentley has a special handmade set of suitcases for this car.
Kind of disappointing with the attention to detail that the car on the screen isn't the same colour as the actual car...
If you have no more use for it post review I'll be more than happy to care for it,
Always thought Bentleys and Rollers looked fat. Is it a owner looks like his car thing?
U need to have a tv 📺 show .
One day!
Great review. That durometer is super pointless though.
😅
@@CarExpertAus Not it's not! #savethedurometer

467KW is actually 626HP
You're right, sorry about that!
626HP** not 536
i cant believe for half a million dollars its not wireless for spotify i think i might spend $60 and get auto echo
I think that will come down the track with hardware upgrades for that infotainment system given it's shared with other cars in the Volkswagen Group.
It’s one special car
Definitely :-D
467 kw is 635 hp not 536 hp

Rolls Royce no. 1
Struggling to see the intended audience for this car; Not really a good daily with 2 usable seats, almost no boot and 2400 kgs.

I think it's a great weekend cruiser. It would struggle as a car for a weekend get away given how hard it is to get bags in the boot.
To me the exterior looks like it was made up from the 1990’s parts bin...some would say “classic” styling I’m thinking it just looks dated...
I agree 100%
Interesting! That's why styling is subjective and beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You'll have to cross it off the shopping list now ;-D
This car made for the gangstas!
Half a Mil and they couldn't throw in a proper spare tire?
I don't think you'd be able to pull it out of the boot if it did have one.
It’s good radar cruise control isn’t standard. A wealthy person can be hijacked with this feature
The sound isn't far from a Porsche GT3.
It's a little quieter :-D
What is the point of reviewing cars out of reach for all but the 1 percentile?
Hah, because we're a car review channel.
