Jun Zeng's hall effect correction boards are such a godsend!
Would love to see you do this on the envision to see if they would work or need a calibration board
Been thinking about installing these in a few of our broken controllers. Just been waiting on others to pull the plug first and find all the bad bits out with them. Looks a tad more fiddly than i would like but perfectly doable.
Lightning Force 4 "METAL SQUAD" as the OST for this video. Nice.
you're a legend 👍
If you sold brand new Scuf controllers modded with hall effects sticks I would buy one.
Nice Icon! Keep a look out on the website. We'll have some fully reconditioned SCUF PS4 controllers with HE and USB-C.
Same here!
You should done the rotation calibration with them boards...
Where did you get those pcb for calibration? do you have a link?
I do think these are a solid replacement, I've done 2 of my own controllers & and elite series 2 and the hall effects with the pcbs is a next level of smoothness
hey bud im looking to do the same on my 2 modded Elite Series 2 controllers and need some help with picking the right hardware. If you can help point me in the right direction i would really appreciate it!
Where did you get the hall effect sticks and PCB boards?
why didnt you solder the wire to the middle pin and then insulate before mounting? would there be a problem with that?
Circularity is important since the diagonal inputs will register 100% before reaching the outer rim. So this essentially will throw you off if you are trying to make small adjustments when moving or aiming. For example if you are aiming up it will move slowly, let's say it register 20% input, as expected and then if you try to aim slightly to the left or right you essentially will have a much faster movement then what you were expecting, let's just say for arguments sake it's reads as 35-45% input.
Exactly this circularity is a must for FPS games which most users who own a controller like this would be using it for
Do you think that is something that can be calibrated or is it impossible to avoid? I've seen reviews of other hall effevt controllers that don't have this issue.
@@cigpope you can overcome this by adding a calibration board. There are a few out there you would just have to do research and see which one might work for the controller you want to use. Something to keep in mind is that not all calibration boards are the same and some have better calibration settings than others.
I purchased Hall effect stud for my Scuf instinct I hope my tech does it right
Did I need to buy like a micro chip board also to install hall sticks? Or just purchasing the module is all I need?
Have you had any scuf envisons in yet?
One question: I also installed Hall Sticks on a XBox controller and notived afterwards that the LT/RT Buttons also work with hall sensors. After testing it, I could see how the hall sensor in the sticks gets disturbed by the magnets on the trigger. For my normal Xbox controller I bought clicky buttons from extremerate and want to remove the magnet. You seem to only built in the hall sticks. How did you work around that problem? I guess the scuff you have there will work with the same hall technology for the LT/RT buttons.
I do not see a proper solution there since installing the board and calibrating it with software means that it will be centered until I press the LT button (which has its hall sensor right under the sicks). That would cause the left stick to drift a little up or down.
I would be very greatfull, if you could tell me a proper solution on that or at least how y9ou fought that problem.
Thanks a lot and great video!
Pot secret sauce 🤤?
Anything i might have mentioned 😉 🪛 or just a minimal switch 🪄✨ about, pull the rabbit 🐰 out of the hat 🎩 already 🐇 lol.
Ill say no more 🤫.
So the middle isolation tube is a pass through redirection circuit ⚡ of sorts 🤷🏼♂️🤯😵💫.
For range calibration?
Not for Elite Series 2 controllers yet or the pot screw 🔩 centre core is incompatible to Frankenstein into a tighter tolerance pot mechanism like a crazy person 🥴.
I salute 🫡 your workmanship do you take apprentices, need a tea ☕ boy lol.
If you put these in with no calibration board but you calibrate it with the holes,How does it play in games ? Does the jitter affect shooters? Call of duty? Thanks
Hey
When will it be possible to install hall effect sticks on dualsense?
Hey could you please Show which one these are? You unfortunelly don’t take a Order from my Country 😬 thank you very much (:
Where do you get your drift fix pcb’s from? The ones I order on Amazon cover the entire module and the wires for rumble motors
Those are jun yeng's hall effect analogs and pcb, he has a youtube channel too, you can check it out
Have you thought about selling repair kits with instructions? Being from the States, I can't send my controller to you, but I'd purchase a 'do it yourself' kit from your company in a heartbeat.
I too am from the states and definitely would be interested in a repair kit
Count me in on that 😂 take my money!
Same
I would pay a lot of money for this.
do you offer hall effect module for the dualsence edge? thank you
We're working on it. We have these stick and boards installed but they need more research to fit properly.
Are hall effect stick modules possible on the Xbox elite 2 controller? Most sources say yes; however, they haven’t completed a unit yet. Would things like the stick tensioners or magnetic thumb caps interfere?
Blue sides for magnetic 🧲 polarity 🧭 circuit ⚡ flow direction 🧐.
Still how effective can they be with the magnetic stick 🕹️ dust cup base tilting close to the hall effect sides 🫣 & the left trigger magnet 🧲 interference.
How the bloody hell do they isolate that mess of gaining & tilting magnetic 🧲 field ⚛️ signal overlap in a circle ⭕ not just a trigger & grant accurate consistent control 🫠🙃🤤.
That would be a magic 🪄✨ smart board I think 🤔💭🧐 lol.
They exist as a sold unit at least 🤷🏼♂️:
Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller - HALL EFFECT Joystick.
The good news is I can put them in my DS4 at least with my custom made stick 🕹️ 🔩 top, no magnet 🧲 used 😉.
Just get the right polarity sides & power band 😵💫, still a nightmare 🤤👍🏼.
Well they have released the modules and I have some on order so I do hope so. 😊
@@TheWebstaff At 2:41 & 7:14 Xbox one pad 🎮 stick 🕹️🕹️ pin 📍📍📍 out polarity in this vid 📽️🎬🎞️🎬:
(Understanding Hall Effect Sticks 🕹️🕹️ for console control pad 🎮 stick drift repair.)
Traditional Xbox pads 🎮 use alternate magnetic 🧲 field 🧭 polarity circuits to DS4 in the sticks 🕹️🕹️ but the Xbox elite series 2 pots I've seen are all blue so the polarity may have been changed between the Xbox pads at least.
I'm so confused 🫨😵💫 they/them do it on purpose lol.
Flipping the ☯️ every other model to mess up the mod community 😉😜, I'm sure.
Xbox one elite series 2 screw 🔩 pots seem to be twin blue 🟦🟦 K-Silver / twin orange 🟧🟧 Ginfull pot sides for magnetic 🧲 current ⚡ polarity 🧭 but they do not produce a screw 🔩 mounted stick 🕹️ core to my knowledge 🤷🏼♂️🥴.
Does it work with the Hall Rocker Orange potentiometers? I only have the pcb boards.
Yep
When will you start taking US orders? I want to give you my money.
I'm confused why most of these jumpers aren't already traces on the board that is being added. I'll also second that I wish I knew where to get this mod done in the US :)
Aliexpress.
sucks you dont take u.s. orders 😒
