In the last couple years I've really limited my tackle purchases. The advantage is that you can spend more time learning the ins and outs of each bait. I like having a small catalog of baits, knowing what I can and can't do with them.
Hey Windy: great organizing techniques; the bigger the collection, the bigger the challenge. I like your labelling (you even labelled yourself "OCD" ha ha). I found that most sizes of original full bags fit nicely inside a extra 8"x7" freezer SLIDE LOCK bag cheap from Dollarama. This technique prevents the mfr's label from wearing off, AND I like to put back bait after use (the used but still recycleable bait) BETWEEN the two bags for next time out.
Yeah, you've got a lot. I've seen and am jealous. I haven't really gotten into tournaments. There aren't many big lakes near me, so I'd have to travel a ways, but I may try a few this year. We'll see. Thanks for watching.
WindyCityBassin anytime you want any advice just yell at me with the tournaments and by the looks of this you have no need to be jealous. Your ready for tournaments.
You should also make a video on catching sturgeon because I really want to hook into one this spring. Even if you were to get my number I just have questions and of course I could spend money on heavy gear but to me that's not worth it. I've been watching videos on people using dead fish and catching sturgeon, they're also using really big hooks as well.
I did that sturgeon video a few months ago. I didn't really get into what I was using, but I keep it simple, small hook and nightcrawlers work very well. It's all about location on the river though. Sounds like you guys went on a bad day last year. It can be hit or miss.
I'll keep that in mind. I did want to do some sort of video on my old lures, but wasn't sure if there was enough interest. I've got tons of heddon, creek chub, shakespeare, pflueger, and all sorts of oddballs. Its even more expensive of a hobby than fishing!
Oh man I wish I had half of those baits. One of these days I'm gonna come up there and we'll have to catch some fish! I just started using a drop shot. Using a bubblegum color trick worm for a challenge on my channel. Anyways keep it up bro, loving the channel and watching the growth!
I'll see what I can make happen. Where are you located? How far from Chicago are you? Also if you don't mind giving me a sub I would appreciate that as well.
Damn, you have baits for weeks brother. 🎣🇺🇸👍🏻🍀 utilize them slowly, try not to buy anything unless you run out of that certain package. Awesome collection 🤘🏻
Thanks man. It is a ton of lures, but some of them are quite old. This is 20 years+ of collecting, although a lot is in the past 5 years. It's slowed down considerably as I've been able to hone in on some key baits/companies in each category. Thanks for watching!
I fish around the Dells a few times a year, but focus on sturgeon in the WI river mostly. Otherwise I'll bring the boat up and hit up Geneva or Delavan. Haven't fished much else up there though. I'll be up there more in 2017 though. So many more lakes than IL.
Yeah, I believe it's the Plano 3701. Check tacklewarehouse of bps. I got mine at bps. They're pretty nice and could be used for other baits as well. I though about laying out jerkbaits in them as mine are all bunched up and hooks get stuck together.
Thanks. It's true. A few months ago challenges were the big thing. Now that winter is around, people are doing rod/reel arsenals and tackle tours. Maybe one day I'll be able to lead more than follow. Thanks for watching and tight lines!
no luck, we kept seeing one follow and even slowing down didn't do any justice. lets go fishing together sometime man, in a few weeks we will be taking the boat out. your more than welcome!
Bucks Bass Fishing I see you spamming all of the googan squads videos... don't pretend you don't know how he's doing it... I watch a lot of fishing and you both spam a bunch of other people's videos to gain subs. I've seen you both... it's really fricken annoying...
Dang that is a ton of tackle boxes. I love how they are all labeled and organized.
Thanks. It's only organized bc its winter. Once I'm into summer, everything becomes a mess again. Thanks for watching.

Good tips. Thanks for checking out the video. Yes, lots of stuff makes things tougher. I'm sure next year I'll have some other form of storage.
Awesome tackle video
love the strorage its clean if you can find everything how do you fish? ha ha
Nice video. You got a ton of stuff. I got some good ideas from you. Thanks
Thanks, appreciate it. I do have a lot, maybe too much.....no, that's impossible :)
The brush hog type of baits is a gene larew brush hogs I have a few packs myself and I really like them
Nice soft plastics man. I have a ton of junk but I fish tournaments so I have to be ready for anything.

Will do. Big fan of your channel so thanks for offering. Jealous of your recent meetup with the pros!
WindyCityBassin that is mutual my friend. I'm happy we ran across each other
Nice vid so inspiring
Not sure about inspiring, but it does make me need to reorganize my tackle!

Thanks man. More to come....
Thanks for the feedback on my other channel was wondering what other things I should get to make my videos better
No worries. Thanks for checking my channel out. Good fishing!
I like the safety pin 💡
Nice, very well organized
Thanks, it's winter, so it's organized. Wait until July and it will be a mess again!
Same with the lizards man 😂😂 I have so many bags of lizards that I'm probably never going to use 😂
Damn lizards, might have to do a bit more Carolina rigging this year and hopefully get rid of them in some bass' mouths.
Can you please do a video on your vintage heddon lures?? I am super interested in vintage lures
I'll keep that in mind. I did want to do some sort of video on my old lures, but wasn't sure if there was enough interest. I've got tons of heddon, creek chub, shakespeare, pflueger, and all sorts of oddballs. Its even more expensive of a hobby than fishing!

Thanks man, much appreciated. Always open to collaborations.
I'll see what I can make happen. Where are you located? How far from Chicago are you? Also if you don't mind giving me a sub I would appreciate that as well.
Subbed brother! I'm about 45 minutes from downtown. 1/2 hour from Ohare.

Good video. Your like me, too much stuff....ARe those yellow tabbed boxes 3731's?
You can never have too much stuff...lol. I think they're 3701's. Nice boxes.
Ur brush hog box, bait in question is a Gambler Bacon Rind
What size box do you use for storing your soft plastics?
Chippewa county and eau Claire is where I fish most but sometimes go fishing up north, down south in Wisconsin. What about you.
I fish around the Dells a few times a year, but focus on sturgeon in the WI river mostly. Otherwise I'll bring the boat up and hit up Geneva or Delavan. Haven't fished much else up there though. I'll be up there more in 2017 though. So many more lakes than IL.
Do the lizards work?
Nice video 👍🤙😎just wondering do you do give aways?
I love your video!
Do you know the name of the Plano box you used for your terminal tackle? That's exactly what I'm looking for
Yeah, I believe it's the Plano 3701. Check tacklewarehouse of bps. I got mine at bps. They're pretty nice and could be used for other baits as well. I though about laying out jerkbaits in them as mine are all bunched up and hooks get stuck together.
I try to down size but I still take too much
i feel ya about jumping on the bandwagons. but I'm starting to see that you gotta accommodate to what people wanna watch. nice video though bud
Thanks. It's true. A few months ago challenges were the big thing. Now that winter is around, people are doing rod/reel arsenals and tackle tours. Maybe one day I'll be able to lead more than follow. Thanks for watching and tight lines!
Does anyone else hear jack black talking at 4:06
That soft plastic was a Gambler Bacon rind

Good question. I don't. Over time I just continue to collect. Maybe hoard is a better word!

It's been a blessing for sure. I just keep posting and trying to improve.

Great video love the quality. How do you gets so many subs I'm growing and need subs for giveaways.
Not sure how so many subs have followed, but thankful they do. Where in WI are you? I head up that way a number of times each year to fish.
Mostly in the eau Claire and chippewa county but sometimes will travel up north and I have Canada footage we go there every year for walleye
