Got the s22 256gb with Galaxy 4 LTE watch for FREE last year when i switched to T mobile. I use dark mode and prefer my brightness at 50% and can get 4-5 hours of SOT. I use my phone all day for work making calls and using GPS to drive to my visits etc. YES, battery life could be better, but this phone will get a GROWN UP with a job who isn't on their phone all the time through a day. Topping off is pretty quick too. For $239 open box this is a steal if you want a high end Samsung panel and experience. Maybe I will upgrade to s24 when it comes out, but the s22 is a better phone than most.
I had this phone and I didn't like it in the first place due to the processor that most of the time got really hot, I traded it for an iPhone and now im back again giving it a 2nd chance, so after updating to OneUI 6.0 and doing a factory reset I can say that now it doesn't get hot and the system is way smoother than OneUI 5.1, of course I noticed that the battery life is better getting 6hr of SOT or a bit more. Before was hard to get over 4hr 30min of SOT with OneUI 5.1, Samsung did a great job giving to the phone a new life after this update.
6 hr with 120 hz or 60 hz?
@@BavinDevadas 120Hz, it has an LTPO screen so the Hz drops to 24Hz. But now im getting 6hr 30min of SOT with 15% battery left

DUUUUDE! This phone got SO MUCH better with the new ONE UI update... for some reason the settings menu is LAGGY AF but every other aspect is top notch! Long time Note user here, and i "downgraded" to this smaller guy (since june 2022)... i have not been disappointed by the performance except (like he mentioned- the HEAT) the lack of SPen support. BUT amazon sells a generic "pen" case and it has OPENED MY EYES... the little guy is amazing for the current price. The battery life WAS lacking, but the new update has VASTLY IMPROVED the SOT... GET the s22 if you want CHEAP AWESOME... i play COD and WoT and YES it gets warm, but not alarmingly so. FANTASTIC PHONE!
I am considering buying s22+, but i saw many reviews saying that battery life is bad.

@@adelajdsamurri126 i am absolutely saying that, but for my regular s22 only. I cant vouch for the plus... but i swear, the new ONE UI update fixed most of my gripes, including better battery. I drive for a living (podcasting/gps/gaming while waiting) and 5 days a week, SAME USAGE each day. I used to end up 10-15% each day. Now 25-30% battery left! My only advice, DONT buy used. Buy NEW and create your own baseline. GOOD LUCK! S22's have only gotten BETTER with age 👍
Same thing for me, I updated to Android 6.0 and noticed an increase in my battery life, now it doesn't drop as quickly as before!
Is it an issue that it doesn't have an SD card slot, or is that standard with most phones now? My current phone (Galaxy A70) desperately needs upgrading, but I didn't realise until I started researching that lots of phones don't have SD card slots now... (I thought that was only a Google Pixel thing)
it is standard for most premium phones;
S series phone, Xiaomi 13 and 14 series, the Pixels, and many of the other phones in similar price don't have the sd card now a days

This phone is more beautiful than the S23. But the battery life is awful, it really makes it not worth it. I bought it and had to sell it in less than a year because I couldn't stand the battery life. I wanted to buy a good phone for my sister and I didn't even consider this one and the ended up buying the S21 FE which is not famous for its battery life, but I know it will last longer than the S22

@@atf56 Exynos. But it's going much better than I expected. I didn't experience much heating (so much less than the S22) and the phone works perfectly, very snappy. The camera is good for the price I bought it. I'm very satisfied with the phone.
@@WarchiefTomi happy for you. I just got it's snapdragon version but video quality is not that much good as exynos variant. I regret for spending more for snapdragon.otherwise a good phone.

@@WarchiefTomi performance might be slightly better. I get 8.30 sot on wifi and with dual Sim network on 120hz after I manually customized my phone. Its enough. But camera.
I compared this phone display to my iPhone 14 pro max an I liked s22 better
So I have the S10e, it's starting to act up a little. But I love my sd card slot and the finger print location is on the button, oh, and the size, I'm one in the minority that likes a smaller phone. I can make an insurance claim and get the S22 for 75 bucks, is it worth it? Wish it had the sd card slot, will take some getting use to the finger print scanner location too.

Had this phone and it was hard to get more than 4 hours of screen on time, and often got less. That battery is NOT worth the extra performance or screen. PERFECT size. TERRIBLE battery. My s10e lasts over 7 hours on screen. Feels very similar. Just kept it. Waiting for the next real upgrade, because so far, my s10 is HARD to pass on.

And apparently the s22 is only made for tourists

Awful battery
I love the design of this phone and the screen, but I absolutely hate the bloatware on Samsung as well as the horrible Ram management and the dual apps. Then the battery life makes this not worth it. Got the s22 at launch and I enjoyed the compact size. But in my experience, Samsung is too laggy because of the bloatware and very poor Ram management.
