My ex friend introduced me to her co worker and after we got married I was diagnosed with cancer and she divorced her husband, a really nice guy. While I was undergoing chemo she asked him to leave me and be with her. He was both shocked and infuriated. He already really disliked her but after that he totally despised her.

Sounds like Mary needs therapy. She sounds like a crazy stalker. Amy's right to protect her husband Adam and consider getting a restraining order. I really hope Mary needs the help she clearly needs though I fear that she may be too far gone.
Update: Mary tried to break into Amy and Adam’s house, and woke Adam, and told him that she was there to save him, and Adam, frightened, called the psychiatrist, and Mary was put in a straitjacket, and she screamed, trying to break free from the restraints that tied her tightly to the stretcher, which the doctors wheeled into the ambulance. The ambulance arrived at the mental hospital, and Mary, wearing the straitjacket and a leather mouth guard with bars over a small hole near the mouth, was taken through the psycho ward, and pushed into a room, with others, who were only recovering from stressful situations, and they looked up to watch their new roommate enter. Mary screamed at the top of her lungs, shouting for them to let her out, crying Adam’s name, saying “LET ME GO! ADAM! SAVE ME, ADAM! IM THE ONE WHO WILL MARRY ADAM! LET ME OUT! I WILL MARRY ADAM! GIVE ME ADAM! LET ME OUT SO I CAN DESTROY AMY AND TAKE ADAM BACK!” But of course, her words were muffled by the mask she wore, and the other patients rolled their eyes. One of them, a girl, said “Lady, please stop screaming. We’re getting headaches from your screeching.” Mary was not happy. Her hair was all messy, standing at different angles. And she never got out.
Amy and Adam were happy together, and they had a wonderful family.

@@abbyg3404 Perhaps the best possible ending for almost everyone involved. Yeah. Mary is clearly too far gone. But at least Adam and Amy finally got their peace and living happily ever after. Though I'd imagine poor Adam had to get some therapy after that scary situation.
Not even therapy would help her. In fact, her therapist would eventually need therapy.
I actually feel bad for Mary. She desperately needs some help. She probably went through some childhood trauma.
Mary's story kept changing the more conflicting information she got. Before they were the popular couple, now they are the quiet couple.
It's hard to keep up with your lies when you're making them up as she went along. The truth was likely she was a shy quiet girl. She fantasized him being her boyfriend. Everytime they bumped into each other or more precisely everytime she bumped into to him to get his attention. Everytime he looked her general direction. In her head that was flirting. If they shared a class she'd walk behind him but in her fantasy world they were walking into the class arm in arm.
The special place. It was probably either somewhere he hung out a lot and stalker that she was followed him. Or it was where she hung out often and could see him with his friends but after he left her fantasy took over and he came to the special place and met up with her.
I'd lay money that then or now if you showed him several girls from highschool and asked him to pick out Mary. He couldn't do it. Now he might only because he's been around her.
She mentioned some high school rom-com TV show that was popular back then; sounds like she “internalized” the plots, and inserted herself and poor Adam into the narrative. She ended up believing and living in her own daydreams.
Probably why she’s never had a boyfriend; she couldn’t leave her fantasyland long enough to focus on a real guy.
I think Mary has watched one too many Disney princess films and thinks love is like a fairy tale of that type. Meet someone's eye, instantly fall in love and three days later get married. This is why I prefer the Grimms versions of fairy tale stories. Mary would have ended up oofed by the end of this if it were the case lol.
The original stories, as collected by the Grimms, were definitely not for kids. Forex, in their version of Rapunzel, the prince ended up blind and when he found Rapunzel later she had two kids (twins, IIRC).
Originally, the queen in Snow White was her biological mom and wanted to kill her

(And I disagree with the statement that watching disney princesses turns you into a twin flame type. I watched those and all it did was give me guidelines on how to act like a disney princess. Kind, brave, strong, do right)
When Naomi said Mary was asking a lot of questions about her boyfriend then snapping at her for having a boyfriend and that she had done the same thing to they're other friends, I thought the story would reveal that Mary never went to the same school but liked Adam and researched his high school to claim they went to school together, even tho they didn't, to try and take him from Amy.
How Mary not realize her and Amy are not friends after this? Jesus Amy, Adam, Naomi, and the rest of Mary's friends need to run. 🏃🏾♂️🏃🏾♀️🏃🏾♀️🏃🏾
As far as the chocolates go, I imagine Mary asking, "Did you have any homemade chocolate yesterday?" And Adam, not knowing anything about Mary's plot, said, "Oh, yeah. They were super delicious." When Mary smiled and floated away, he probably thought to himself, "I guess a guy going on about chocolates his sister made is pretty cringe."
Throughout high school, Mary was considered the quiet girl who sits in the very back of the classroom. But thanks to her small yet close group of friends, she has dreams of romanticism. Always wanted happiness and love in marriage. She even have scrapbook of her dream wedding that is considered out of the fairytale.
But that is only on the surface.
Her friends didn't know of this dark side of her, until one of them finally get a boyfriend. That is when Mary started to show a glimpse of her true colors before a few days later, apologized for her behavior. Her friends chalked it up to her slowly getting out of her shell and forgave her. What a mistake that was after a few times up until graduation.

It's well known that you can't reason with the insane, but Amy and her friends kept trying, with predictable results. The only thing you can do is to cut them out of your life, either by ignoring them or getting the law involved if there's no other option. Sad, really.

It seems that Mary can't comprehend that other people's actions around her don't have secret meanings. Introducing their romantic partners to her doesn't mean they are saying they are better than her. And if her old crush just interacts with her, it doesn't mean there are subtle hints to liking her or them being in a relationship.
Amy has a lot of patience for Mary.

After about a year of our marriage, this crazy old bag lady that my husband pitied and occasionally bought a sandwich for decided he was HER husband. He had given her his phone for Times she was unable to get food so she would call every other day. Whenever I answered it made her very angry and she would call me names and dispute our marriage. Finally, we got her in touch with the right social services who took care of her. She was in her 80’s at least and my kind husband as I his 30’s.

You can't sympathize with crazy, I know some would think to be kind to everyone and help the Crazy person! This is not how handle people with Mental health Issues and while this is entertaining, this is not how you deal with people 😒 like Mary! I personally, have alot of experience with loved ones and former friends who got "Crazy" all of a sudden! My thoughts and actions have been, I am not the cuase of this, I can't control anyone but myself in this, and I can't cure them! Therefore I am not a Mental Health Doctor and whatever the issue is is so deep, I can't afford my own peace financial,mental or physical health for you, Get out of my life for good! And yes, I meant it and have not regretted leaving any of those people on thier own! Period, that's my advice! Take it or leave it, but the Author of these stories needs to realize, Mental Health by everyday people needs to be a selfish act and if people want help they have to seek help once they realize themselves are the problem!

Then Adam and Amy drafted a plan to "forgive" Mary and have her meet Adam as bait at a reserved table at a classy restaurant, and as predictable as always, Mary beelined to the restaurant...... and found herself straitjacket, gagged, blindfolded, and her ears covered, while tied tightly to a stretcher as the entire family tutted their heads in disappointment at her before letting these highly-trained international medical asylum professionals send her off to a triple high-security facility in their country. In the meantime, Mary's family kept her cellphone, access to social media accounts, and her finances on hold on the "mandatory" condition that she "recovered, and learned the culture and language of that country, and tangibly prove that she married a religiously conservative, quiet, but loving guy there, had a 7 figure white collar job, had 10+ kids all going to best schools and colleges and that at least 15+ of her adult (married) great-grandchildren ALL each had white collar jobs and kids of their own before EVER thinking of ever setting foot back into home soil to introduce her extended family to them". Till then Mary screamed and kicked before the doctor gave her an injection and she fell limp before she was wheeled away to the airport. Amy and Adam and the rest of Mary's family high-fived each other and went their separate ways, legally changed their names, addresses and contact information as they moved to different states and went on to live the rest of their their lives happily ever after. They even placed a restraining order on Mary as a safety measure just in case she was able to escape before she completed her mandatory "family service" signed by all involved and stamped by the rotary department.

I don't get the idea that first high school boyfriend/girlfriend is soooooo romantic. My first boyfriends back then was/is a really nice guy but I don't see us being very happily married in the ever after way.
So Mary is not a bad friend. She is seriously disturbed. The one thing about these videos is that there's rarely any mention of getting people like this the help they need instead of just being abandoned and cut off from everyone. They perhaps could have called the police there in California and said she was having a mental episode or something and had her taken into custody where she could be evaluated. The just ignoring people with blatant mental problems is the reason bad things happen. Get people help when it's clear they need it. 2ndly, Adam was an enormous coward for letting Amy handle it instead of just talking to her himself. What a wimp.
