With the recent release of Chapter 3 of the Age of Sorcery, I thought it'd be the perfect time to start a fresh new solo PvP journey on a new official server.
In today's episode, I go on an adventure and try to reach level 60 in one day by exploring different methods of power leveling.

Often times if a corpse vanishes if you run out of rendering distance and run back they usually are visible again. Also remember that you can get highland bush berries all over the north, they're not too heavy and when you eat them they add to your hydration without a cooling effect.

Great 1st episode.. I cannot wait to see the next one. I also Used to power Level in the jungle Until after today. I would have took a little. Time out to get you a fighter thraw from the Coins. My 1st fighter every time so far has always been a delincia from the sorcery coins. It will make fighting for us giants a lot easier And you get experience every time she kills something.

Killing gorillas in the jungle is way too slow, haha. Unless Funcom nerfs black ice farming, I don’t think I’ll ever go back there to power level.

So, when I go to a new server I have a quick way to power level. Hopefully this will help a little. First thing is I knock out some of the journey step stuff, just easy things for a few levels. Then I start smacking puff all mushrooms. I start just before the sentinels and go all the way to the eastern barracks. Since I'm in the jungle I push on down to buccaneers Bay and hit up the chests for silver coins. A merchant in the flotsam area sales spiced fowl for silver coins. That stuff gives you warming for a while plus an additional health bonus. Typically I turn back and run the mushys again and then just head north via Sepmeru and then the mounds. Typically by now I'm level 40 and I can just hit the patch of black ice behind the stairs and done! Sounds time consuming but I swear its the fastest way I have found if you don't have someone dropping you gear. For it to be super fast just slay a few sorcerers and buy a blood pick early.
Hey Cassie, thanks for sharing your power leveling route! I have heard great things about using the mushrooms to power level, but sadly I didn’t get a chance to try em out for this run. I’ll be sure to try em out for the next one though and see how well they work for me. When do you get your sickle to farm the mushrooms?
@@Zelosykes depends on how big of a hurry i am in, but sometimes I make an iron sickle and sometimes I just guy a black blood pick. The pick works just as well really lol

Starting and going the the cave where you use sorcery is best right now to start id say with the chests at the top of the waterfall you get steel tools and steel and hardened steel weapons and other items like gold and silver.

If you would have made stone daggers and killed the sorcerers straight after log in and get lucky bleeding a giant to death you are level 60 after 2 hours.if there is no black ice next time go straight to the volcano with some ice and mine obsidian nodes.leveling has never been easier.looking forward to see the series.Its always fun watching you; :) hope you have some fun experiences for us in store; )
Thank you, Skull! I was literally shocked by how EASY it is to level up a character now. I couldn’t believe it, lol. Perfect for PvPers. Don’t gotta waste too much time and can get straight to PvP pretty quickly.

It's been a few years since I've played this game, but what we used to do was go to the tower of bats and farm the rock noses with stone/iron spears until around level 31? If I remember right, then we used to go to sepumaru get the chests all steel bars and make everyone gasmasks, then farm the white rock noses on a clockwise route in the brimstone lake from 31-60 would take around 8 hours I think in total for 10 of us from lvl 1 - 60
Oh yeah, I remember when people used to farm the rock noses. Any plans to come back for another run?
@Zelosykes I used to play on ps4 but been on a beast PC for the last 2 years so yeah, I'll try it out on PC official and see how it is, quit playing just before the Isle of siptah came out.

I died laughing at this part 11:05 . 1st time I watched i noticed the giant body got flung light speed across the map cause the mammoth stepped on it.
my personal secret leveling tip that is use 1-60 is smack crystal all the way to 60 it give just as much as black ice imo

I just got the game while I had it. I just never played it. I was kind of confused in the beginning because I didn’t understand the home menu system I was getting kind of frustrated to the point that I wasn’t going to delete it but I didn’t give up and I’m starting to catch onto a little bit more.
Hey bro, if I were you, I would just focus on doing the journey steps. Like I said in the video, the journey step system was completely reworked and it's extremely helpful if you're a new player. This game has A LOT of stuff and the journey step system is a good way to get a general idea of everything. :)

I started playing around the time you made this video. I thought the intro missions were super nice other wise I would have gotten lost in the crafting system
I like learning about early game strategies of other players as the first direction you take can either help or retard your process. I saw one guy that would go straight up to bleed the bear to get the legendary daggers then to mounds for epic armour.
I'm not that brave\skilled but what I do is head to sep and get free armour\steel weapons and tools out of chests then look for a way to get to the swamp and powerlevel on a shoebill loop.Up to 40 or so (which is quick as shoebills have a great HPXP ratio), then like you gorilla loop. A good shoebill loop has gotten me to L30 in 30 mins, with a big chunk of that time spent just running over there.
I like how you noted 'few possessions' as I always get suckered by all the steel\thick hide I collect at sep looking for a way to 'protect it'
I always pick up Darfari stone weapons. It has the first one handed axe weapon
Oh yeah, and they give some nice light armor too.
Hey you know there is a path up on the north side right under the galleon
All Funcom needs to do is improve thrall ai, increase T3 building HP and reduce its damage taken from explosive jars/orbs by 90% and this game will actually be 100x better. In this way the absurd advantage base raiders have will be nullified making it require an actual "raid" to breach a well-built T3 compound. That's my gripe with CE, one person can take a week to craft a multitude of explosives then blow up whatever T3 base he/she wants. The time and effort it took to grind out resources and build a majestic structure can undone in a minutes by a jackass with a handful of orbs.
I dont know if it still works but one pont building t 3 buildings get lots of xp

I'm a newer payer (50 hours, only 20 on a pvp server) whos trying to get into the pvp scene. I used to play Ark: Survival evolved, so I'm familiar with this style of game, but I don't really know how to play. How to fight, how to build, so I'm watchin videos to try and figure things out!

@@Zelosykes I've had a fight outside my base. I popped it open to remodel and someone came in and killed me, I spawned inside. Grabbed some weapons and fought em for about 10 minutes until I ran out of heals. Barely lost. The next fight I had had my opponent running.
I'm struggling to actually do damage in fight tho. No q lock daggers are hard to hit (I've never fought players with q lock on)
are pvp servers still populated these days? i haven't played in years.

How does community centre and official server correlate?
A random player on the server decided to craft that community center to give players access to all those work benches. Not all official servers will have that.
How often will we see another episode? Also will they be longer than 30 Minutes?
I usually post on Sundays. Sometimes I miss the deadline, but my goal is to always post on Sundays. Currently editing episode 2… if it all goes well, should be out this Sunday. :)

This might be due to my inexperience in the game but why are things like durability and item stats blurred out?
So in my videos I blur out the chat in the game and when I hit the button to view my inventory, the blur overlay from the chat stays on and it just happens to blur out the durability and item stats. Hope that makes sense, haha.

The Journey system is great........WHEN IT WORKS!!!!! I have a few journey steps that I cannot complete because they are bugged and have been for a long while.
Which one is giving you issues?
@@Zelosykes Raider: Convert an Alchemist. Many others have been extremely glitchy and had to find work arounds to complete some steps...have you completed it?!?!?!
how did you manage to mine for black ice so early without protection? i tried the same location throughout different parts of the day and it was always to cold once i got far enough up. i ended up building a base at the foot of that mountain to get to 40 hahaha
You don’t need much to survive the cold in most areas in the North.
The basic coarse “armor” made from fiber and any helmet should be enough armor for most areas in the North. Also get yourself a TON of aloe leaves so that you can craft yourself potions to heal in the extremely cold places. Only craft 10 potions at a time cause aloe leaves weigh less.
If you stay along the ridge I show in the video and run passed the few extremely cold areas, you should be ok.
You’re only really need spicy food for the Frost Temple.

You mean the map rooms to travel to different locations? Anyone can use those… at least on PvP servers.

can only have 1 character per server? , I played a few hours on a random server, closed the game and then started on another server because I didn't remember the name of the server I had chosen, but I saw that I had to do it all over again , how do I find the server I had played before ?
Yep, 1 character per server. Usually any last servers that you have joined will be under “Favorites”.

do you think it worth just the base game ?
The base game is all you really need to play the game.
If you buy the full game, it just has an extra map (it’s not as popular) and the DLCs (cool extra stuff like building items/armors)… but definitely not needed.
Are all pvp servers set to x4 harvest? If it was an Official PVE server you wouldn't level as fast when harvest is set to x1. And since harvest xp is raised it also questions if other xp levels are raised.
Yep! Official PvP servers have a x4 harvest rate and that's what makes it quick to level by farming nodes. I am not sure about the XP rate though. :)

Since im new every time you make a cut I get lost on where you are and where to go. Also it would be dope if you could show where you are on the map on certain locations that are important, for example, where is that dungeon you did that gave you all that crystal orb? Also is that monster spawn you showed always there?

Welcome to PC! I only play on official servers and don’t know much about finding good private servers. But if you want to find a good official server, there’s quite a few active ones. Just sort your servers by population (during raid hours) and you’ll find a few you can join. There’s a decent population right now on officials. Hope this helps!

Early game conan is the best
When I load into a server my first and only objective is hitting lvl 60. Always do the first few journeys for easy lvl hit the noob beach and kill shellbacks till 20-25. Second I move to the jungle and kill shoebills and crocs till 35-40. finishing off at the jungle temple with gorillas. This is a nice method to lvling but I know for a fact this took way more time.
When I was looking online it looks like the games dead. The highest player server I found was like 8 people ? Is there something I’m not doing right or ?

So PC has quite a few active servers depending on the region.
When you’re searching for a server, you should sort by player count and wait for everything to load and then hit refresh once you’re able to.
Sometimes the player counts aren’t accurate the first time they load and you need to refresh it once it’s done loading.

Loving the new journey. Why the server change? Either way I will love this new series ^.^
Since I know most players on my home server, I was having a hard time finding players to PvP/raid.
So I thought I’d spice things up by starting fresh on a new server where I don’t know anyone/have allies that way I can do more PvP/raids.
That makes sense. You could also be battle ready and have someone from ur old server let ya know when a raiding outsiders show up so you can show up for some pvp content
Oh yeah! I’m always ready for battle on my home server if anything crazy is happening. So there will most likely be quite a few crossover episodes.
how are servers even looking? everytime i try coming back the combat still feels clunky and servers are generally dead

Hey bro, there’s quite a few active official NA servers right now. You shouldn’t have too much trouble finding an active one.
Not sure about other regions though. But the EU has always seem to have active servers.

Lmao!! Things were getting too comfortable on my home server so I sent myself back to the stone age on a new server.
My first pvp server was unbelievable
My base was at plain sight, the first forest you enter after exit the dessert spawn area
Noob building, noob raiding but amazingly i raid most of them easily except one because that snake god is actually suck
Then i kinda rage quit and took a day off
After that i find my base offline raided

best way to powerlevel if you have access to siptah is to kill grey ones at south, they drop pretty broken weapons so you can just get a dagger off them and kill them easily
I clicked off the video when you were harvesting 30+ brimstone with a stone pick. Clearly either not an official server or mods are having an effect. You don't level up that quick either from harvesting on official.
It is an official server. Not sure if you have played on an official server recently, but harvest rates on official servers have been increased to x4.
What's the point of playing online? You can power leveling on single player, no?
If you play online, you can play with other people in the same world. You can fight against each other and raid each other’s bases, etc. The possibilities are endless.
I don’t understand. I thought this was a PVP server you haven’t I haven’t seen another player anywhere Jaren across anybody or are the servers just not very populated
Yes, it’s an official PvP server. I believe at the time of the recording there were around 20-30 people online.
As a solo player on your 1st day on a new server, you want to try and avoid other players as much as possible while you are leveling and establishing yourself on the server. If you start encountering players before you are level 60 and you don’t have proper gear/weapon, you are going to get killed and they will loot your stuff.
I was purposely trying to avoid other players so I could focus on leveling and not slow down my progression.
On day 2 (next episode), I get into my first fight against another player. As the episodes move forward there will be more player interactions.

@@Zelosykes did I just expected to see more other players on PVP server like that but I get it I am I’m not really a big guy survival game player but I get it my mirror starting out on a PVP environment you gotta try to avoid PVP until you’re ready

Don’t worry… by episode 4 there will be a ton of player interactions and fights.
But also, keep in mind, being solo can be dangerous cause most players are in big clans and will gang up on you. So you’re always at a disadvantage and it’s important to stay hidden as much as possible or else you’ll end up losing all your loot and have to start over.
This is a new series so I’m trying to show the whole progression from the start. I have three other series that are complete if you’re interested in seeing more chaos, haha.
