Would be great if the community would create together some plans that we could all share and improve...classic for arcade retro games and one for sim...it's already a great investment that not all of us can handle! Thanks for video! Great start idea that needs some extras...but it's great!
Yeah, lots of mistakes made here. Now I have an 8020 rig. But still you can make something quite almost as solid with MDF for cheaps. Just need to invest the time.
It's a great idea if you can eliminate the flex. If it moves you should stick with a belt drive (unless you already have a direct drive) as one of the major benefits of direct drive is the fine detail of the ffb, this detail will be lost or masked by the movement.
What if I’m using actual wood. I want to get the 15nm cs dd. I need to know what I have to do for the steering column support. I already had taken apart my original wood rig and I got some extra pieces and likely I’ll be grabbing more 2x6s and I’ll be using the table mount for the cs dd which is metal but held on by a clamp. Please what would you think of this. Thanks

Dude your content is right up my alley😂😂 super cool - cheers from Wisconsin!
Use locking nuts. they won't loosen up. put an angle brace on the shifter and it won't move
Not bad! Should have painted it. I would have also boxed in the shifter and brake mount to make it more solid.

Great video. Got some ideas for my own rig.
Great video, keep up the good work👏
Wish u could test this with a DD wheel
Trust me, me too!

nice build and thanks for the vid
Vokken mooi werk!
Great rig, but you should have made it out of plywood. MDF will 100% loosen up at all the joints over time.
plans please
waarom MDF .. multiplex is iets duurder mar wel solide
kan ook, ik weet niet of multiplex net zo vlak is om aan elkaar te lijmen tho?
That's too much trust on wood glue :P
Seriously tho, I would put some corner brackets and some bolts on it.
Looks great anyway.
I have an 80/20 now, but the mdf with glue was rock solid
Wood glue is stronger than the grain of wood itself. When you see glued joints fail it is actually the wood that has broken.
