  • Let me share my experience of owning a 964 for an entire year. I didn't get to drive it a lot, and it cost me a huge amount of money to get it on the road. It still is far from being done, and there is still a lot to adress.

    I Love the CUP wheels ❣️
    For me, my all time favorite wheel 😃
    On a VW T3 Bus the Porsche Cup wheels looks so beautyful too 👌🏼
    End of the 90's a lot of T3 Bus runs on Cup wheels.
    Sad that I never had one.

    I own a ton of air cooled Porsches. I learned a long time ago -- dont mess with the car unless they are expert doing the work. I actually had a single mass 964 and replaced it with a factory clutch and plate. My car when I got it was only 16k miles. But it took some work and money to sort it... After sorted -- 100% for the next 30k miles... Zero issues except for AC like you. You need to replace with an electric AC system to be sure of no issues... Otherwise, the car is a dream -- nice for daily and nearly unbreakable if you dont mess with it.

    Great vid mate. Stick with the 964. Can take a bit to get right but such a rewarding car!

      Thank you so much. It definitely is rewarding, I only drove the car for around 2000km, but it is fun. Real fun. I would love to experience it more, for longer journeys, but that was not possible as of for now.

    Try the Ninemeister mid weight flywheel. Thats what im putting in my build this winter. Its a good alternative to the lightweight one with less drawbacks.

      Thanks for taking the time to make suggestions, but the engine has only just been rebuilt, and I am not thinking about tearing it apart any time soon :) I'll probably start fiddling with the intake and install a mass airflow meter (?) from the 993 and remap the ECU to cope with the single mass flywheel. For now, the bank is down, and there is not much more money I want to spend on modifying the car in the near futur. I'll concentrate on making everything else on the car work, and get to drive this thing at last.

      I'm in the same boat as you. I want a car with working AC. I wish I would have left it in my mk2. Sucks on hot summer days @@lxapproduction

    What is your gear shift mate?

      I don’t understand the question 😅

      @@lxapproduction I believe you are not using the stock gear lever, right? Which brand is the one you are using now? Thanks

      @lxapproduction  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @Santi_Blinder I can reassure you that it is a stick lever. It just looks very shiny because it has been used alot. I bought a new OEM one, but the leather doesn’t match with the rest of the old shiny leather

      @@lxapproduction thanks mate, indeed in the video it looked to me like an aftermarket one. Can you please share the OEM model you’re talking about? I’m actually looking to replace mine 😀
      Many thanks!!
