I’m watching the “review” and thinking, “Man, they’ve got some really nice looking roads down under”. No sooner do I finish that thought than Andy says “our roads here in Victoria, in Australia are really quite poor”. Tells you the state of our roads here in Texas. You might be looking at your 964 through rose colored glasses, but so am I. I think it’s the business and you have every right to love it like you do. I don’t think I could live with one, but I much prefer the 964 over the crowd favorite 993. My slice of heaven is manifested as a 997.1 and I know it’s not perfect but it’s mine and I love it. Cheers!
Haha. Well spotted. To be fair I film on that particular road because it’s one of the few smooth ones close by. 997 is such a sweet car. Glad to hear you’re loving yours!
Love the planet ocean, and man, what a looker! Your 964 is perfect. The only thing that moved me from mine was a perfect spec (for me) 997.1 GT3 in cobalt blue
I watch a lot of Porsche themed videos and I have to say I found this video in the upper level. Very specific with the suspension setup being the priority. Nailed the experience of the car.
Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment. Having just had a drive through the hills on the weekend, I can say absolutely that getting the chassis dialled is the absolute key to enjoying these cars!
Great video and review Andy.. The quality of filming, editing and commenting is immaculate and puts many high profile tv productions to shame, car related or not.. I am currently procuring suspension for my '92 Porsche with the similar performance goals as you, and I know you've had Bilsteins and now KW V3, but have you ever considered TracTive electronic suspension? I have only heard very positive reviews and it really takes suspension to the next level with on-the-fly adjustments.
Alex thanks so much for the super positive comment. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. I haven't personally considered the TracTive option but - like you - I've heard super positive reviews. The most prevalent being of Ian Harris' 964. Both Sid North and Lee from 9 Werks have featured that car and both been super impressed with the suspension and it's adjustability. Truthfully, it's rare I think my suspension needs any more or any less compression or rebound damping. I was tracking it, then I'd be adjusting it more but it's in a happy place these days. Set and forget!
One of your best so far Andy! Love you car. While watching this all I wanted to do was book a flight to Australia and get a ride! I have not had the 964 experience!
Perfect car and set up by the looks of things. I don’t have the 964 instead a 993 c2. Had for 6years I correlate with everything you say including never selling. Had not driven mine in 4 months and went out for a spin to run it before park up and the buzz never gets tiring. Wish you continued happy safe motoring. 🙏🏿👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🙂
Lovely shots and commentary. Your format always inspired me! Having just picked up a new-to-me 997.2 S that came to me bone stock, I can’t wait to begin the tinkering and personalizing.
Well done. My 964 C2 is stock, but to me it’s still a sweet spot in the 911 lineage. I added the PCCM head unit for Apple CarPlay, and there are maintenance expenses due to age. But the vibe, as you say, is something not replicated in the modern showroom. 964 is modern enough to drive, but still feels classic. I’m in California so drive it year round.
Great review Andy. Lovely 964. I have one also which i have modified. The (now) 3.8 engine sounds and drives like a dream on the roads here which I have to say are epic in Spain! 😊
Replacing the head unit with a PCCM is a great upgrade to make it feel even more modern. Yeah the screen is small for maps but I mount my phone with the gauge cluster (Rennline mount) and with an Apple watch you get navigation prompts. However being able to use Siri for messages, etc really makes it feel more modern. Love your car mate. Have done similar mods to mine so totally get it.
What's the color of the car? It looks a bit greener than Amazon green which is very blue in my eyes and which in my opinion is the best Porsche color ever.
Great review great model, I owned new a 964/4 i 1991 ,one of nicest cars one would wish to own ,just a pity for the buyer they are now so expensive and with good reason ,why did i sell mine , picked up a new 993 RS touring model
Polar Silver with the full leather race seats and no wings another owner fitted the wings rego RS380 , your videos are great and so accurate with comments regarding the the various models. The current 911 for me is a 9911.2 Cab, it is enjoyable, just did a 2,800km run around Tassie, but not the fun of the earlier cars, give me a '76 Carrera 3.0 any day for fun.
How could you drive a 911 as heavily modded as that in Targa Tasmania with their stict regulations? You'd only be able to enter the demonstration category...especially without a cage.
I would tend to agree however this is part of an overall package designed by NineMeister. Its not just the filter but a complete, custom intake. Their own dyno tests with their Motec setup with the custom intake mated to the standard airbox (stock and drilled) saw this setup deliver the most horsepower.
@realdata6116, get a life. Its not a documentary of historical import. Its a guy having fun in a car. I have one of these cars and found what he said appropriate.
It's my favourite series of 911 too.
Makes two of us!
Another fantastic video Andy, you've got a lot to be proud of with what you have created in that 964 and you nailed why we love them so much.
Thanks my man. You've talked me off more than one ledge with this car so I owe you!
Love how your car is constantly evolving, awesome vid mate
It’s had one or two missteps over the journey TBH. But I’m pretty happy with where it’s landed now.

997 is such a sweet car. Glad to hear you’re loving yours!
Ah, makes sense!! Also, side note: impatiently awaiting more episodes of Curb & Canyon!!
Love the planet ocean, and man, what a looker! Your 964 is perfect. The only thing that moved me from mine was a perfect spec (for me) 997.1 GT3 in cobalt blue
Hah. Well spotted! And the 997 sounds like a worthy replacement!
Love it Andy. That 964 is just you.
We may bounce to others from time to time but there’s always a car seems to be ‘us’ isn’t there?
Great videos. Literally just bought one in black and this has helped. Equipped with the BBS E88’s as well. Thx
The banks so much for commenting! Sounds like you scored a beauty! Here’s to many years of happy driving.

Awesome 964! Great color…beautiful wheels with perfect upgrades 😍
Hey thanks so much for checking it out!
Nicely done once again sir
Thanks so much George! Hope all’s well mate.
Absolutely beautiful car mate. I have the same feelings about my 997.2!
Gotta love a 997.2! Such special cars!
One of your best so far Andy! Love you car. While watching this all I wanted to do was book a flight to Australia and get a ride! I have not had the 964 experience!
Really appreciate the positive words as always mate! Too kind.
I have to say I really enjoyed this review!
Tommy, you legend! Thanks for checking it out.🙏🏼🙏🏼

Thanks so much for the comment. 993 C2 is such a special car. Glad to hear it still delivers the same buzz!
At 2:18 you can see how the carbon tube for the heating is not fully attached which will lead to a (probably minor) degradation of engine cooling.
Pretty common issue with the RS heater blower delete pipe. Doesn't really effect cooling so much as heating in the cabin.
Lovely shots and commentary. Your format always inspired me! Having just picked up a new-to-me 997.2 S that came to me bone stock, I can’t wait to begin the tinkering and personalizing.
Love your new addition! And I think doing the things to make it really feel like yours is so enjoyable with these cars.

So great to hear Jon. Life in California with a 911 is kind of the dream!
Great review Andy. Lovely 964. I have one also which i have modified. The (now) 3.8 engine sounds and drives like a dream on the roads here which I have to say are epic in Spain! 😊
Have heard the driving in Spain is amazing. And 3.8 litre is the dream!
Can confirm this car is one fast 964. A dialed in beauty.
Too kind mate. How many times have I tested it either chasing or being chased by you?!
Great video. The 964 is one to hold on to!
Thanks so much for the comment. And yes I absolutely agree!

Yeah great call! I’ve got the continental head unit which I do like.
Great looking car Andy, happy motoring
Thanks Andrew! Happy motoring indeed.
Love your 964, it is my fav shape of all them, i just can't see me getting the cash for 1 in UK, a sorted 993 maybe but 964s have escaped me!
Maybe consider going a bit older if you love the shape. Impact bumper cars can be had for realistic money still (at least they can here in Australia).
Great review. Well thought out and presented.
Thanks so much for watching it. Really appreciate it.
I have the same love for my forrest green 964 Carrera 2.
C2! Nice. Had it long?
@@lastrasp Still own it.
Love the video. As a fellow 964 owner, I wonder if you have listed all of your mods anywhere?
I haven’t but I’ll try and do perhaps on social media.
Love the biased review Andy 😉😂🔥🔥🔥 Lovely car!
yeah, yeah, I know! 😂
Is this 911 lower on the passenger side seen from behind @0:26?
Wait, this is not a US version. So it is driver side😢
Well spotted. It's actually just where the car is parked. It's very uneven ground.
Your car is 🔥🔥🔥
Oh thanks so much for the comment!
Your car is epic! I am a huge fan of the 964 and yours is imo in a perfect spec; dark green with tan and gold BBS 😃👍👍👍
Super kind of you to say!
Gorgeous! Congratulations.
Hey thanks so much. Might have needed a bit more HonestReviewer in my video 😉
What's the color of the car? It looks a bit greener than Amazon green which is very blue in my eyes and which in my opinion is the best Porsche color ever.
Hey there. Good question! I should have mentioned the colour. It’s Forest Green Metallic.
It’s similar to Amazon but, like you say, a little less blue.

@@sherrin130 Yeah 76 Carrera 3 is a ripper! How good is Tassie?!
Gorgeous car. Especially the color combination
Thanks so much for checking it out. Appreciate it.
Beautiful car! Thanks fort the Video!
You’re welcome! Thanks so much for watching.
Yeah having one seems it becomes part of the family as the garage overflows.
Pretty much the story of my life (and garage!)😂
Porsche prices of all vintage are just ridiculously priced in Australia that's one thing about America that I would say is better.
Absolutely no argument from me on that one!
How could you drive a 911 as heavily modded as that in Targa Tasmania with their stict regulations? You'd only be able to enter the demonstration category...especially without a cage.
Ah we weren’t competing in targa Tasmania - we were driving roads used in Targa stages. Not an organized event 😉
@@lastrasp Fair enough then.
My favorite 😍 porsche. Period.
Haha. Mine too!
Hot Air intake....every 964 owner knows this will result in less HP....

It’s a review of your narcissistic mug on camera saying noting with very little covered on the car.
Fair enough mate. Have a great day.
