- Pryia Ragu delivers her musical performance at TEDxZurich 2019 event with the hit singles "Leaf High" and "Lighthouse", and shares the story of how she followed her dream of becoming a musician. Priya Ragu is a vibrant soul, who taught herself to keep a balance between two cultures. With a potpourri of cultural influences emerging from her Sri-Lankan roots, Swiss mentality and her musical imprints of traditional and Afro-American soul music, it is not easy to find your own identity. Music showed her the way to liberation and rebellion against traditional values which allows her to take control of her life purpose and creation. She is currently working on her first debut project alongside her brother and producer “Japhna Gold”. Her debut EP will be released in early 2020, including hit singles “Lighthouse” and “Leaf High”. Such inspiration !! Mostly because she tried to make her dreams come true in her mid-30s when most of us, especially girls, are expected to settle down/ to have settled down but life's only worth it if you do what lights you up.

Just discovered Priya today. I really like her. I love her ownership of her feelings and her culture in what I hope is an open-minded world. As an old white guy in America I must admit that I was mildly surprised to learn of her from the "best of new Swiss bands" in Gigwise. I really dig her song "Good Love 2.0". Check it out. I kinda understand some of the comments below but I hope the audience is at least letting loose in the confines of their own minds. I could totally see her working with Thievery Corporation, no?
