Can confirm i was in cutthroat during the time we were allied w/Rot for this DMM and i ended up pairing up with Tomdabom for the fight and they did ddos me as they pmed me to specifially die and i refused and wanted to fight it out but they ended up ddosing me. I recorded everything but they threatned to release my dox and terrorize my family members if i released the video. Glad to see action being taken!

A cursory google'ing says to look up OSRS Environment Exporter. You can set it up to download data around the game as you explore and it'll make it transferable into a program like Blender where you can model it in 3d. There may be a community of people that release their models freely. I don't know much of anything to help you beyond this unfortunately.

now jagex needs to add customer support. it’s absolutely ridiculous a company with this large of a player base has ZERO customer support. only way to get customer support is to be a content creator or get lucky by reaching out on reddit or twitter. love osrs, but this is insane.

I've had a number of support questions recently and they took great care of me, resolved everything, and within 24-48 hours. I genuinely don't know why people say they have 0 support, their support is great from all of my interactions.

I'm a guy all for second chances and that people can change. RoT as a clan is irredeemable. Their pattern of behavior is clearly too ingrained, what they've done is too extreme, and there's no proof they'll ever change as an organization. Maybe the people in it will better themselves, but they would realize RoT isn't the place to be when that happens. RoT needs to do what their name says and just rot.

RoT was always crashing F2P clan wars up at the Greater Demons, when two clans were fighting with a set amount of people, like 50v50 or 100v100, RoT would come crashing with as many people they could muster, in full adamant with Rune Scim, so they werent even "risking". Adamant was like 1/10 the cost of Full Runite.

They are the ones that took Oda for 300m+. In Eliop's vid he thinks they're another clan, but from Oda's perspective you can see them hashtagging #rot.

There’s a big gap of information that you’re missing in your timeline. They didn’t just disappear they went to private servers like telos and battlescape. They gained a bad reputation on those servers for DDOSing players for their gear, ragging, and just being toxic. This was in the time where Skype was extremely popular as a messaging service and they had a vulnerability where you could grab someone’s IP just off of their Skype username. This is how they would acquire IP’s (or friends with an admin) to ddos other clans/players in the wildy.
Their bad reputation started well before Old School came out.
I'm sorry Kemp, but they started cheating WAYYY before DMM. I was a AF/VR senior member for years before DMM. During the Jagex Cups we would start the f2p/p2p 100v100s with example 68 people because 32 of us would get DDOSed even before the 2 minutes timer would be up. (With Jed on their side they had all our static IP members booted out every round).
Even years before that, we would have run-ins at GDZ and they had returning bots + bought a cheat client from Sovereign Clan, all of their senior members+ would have access which would HIGHLIGHT in massive blue anyone who their invoice caller would attack ingame. Which back then it was all about piling the same people at once f2p/p2p.
There was so much more going on than what you've included but yeh.
Later in 2018 ModJed banned 20 ish of us in Frontline all on the same date, all for manual perm Ban with no reason whatsoever, I quit after that but yehhh 😅
You're kinda wrong here. Even back in the day before the removal of the wilderness, RoT had a reputation for Ddosing Teamspeak and Rival Clan Forums when they would start lose rivalries. For example, they tried to enter the F2p scene when they killed off almost all other P2p clans. They started out around rank 5 and eventually moved up. They started going head to head with the long standing #1 F2p clan at the time which was Echo of Silence. They lost a lot and started crashing EoS' fights. Then eventually moved on to Ddosing their forums and teamspeaks for months until EoS eventually just closed and a lot went to a game called Albion Online.
I just hope jagex does something about this, I was a victim this week to a hijacking of my account and this is just frustrating considering I did a lot of work as a fresh player to accumulate my GP and get back playing runescape after many years. Fuck these people
You're missing a major part of the RoT story between EoC and osrs where they terrorized private servers like Near Reality, Project Gwas, 2007scape. they made SO much money off exploiting those
I played in a f2p clan back when VR and RoT merged DF was ranked one I believe at that time but the merger caused VR to become rank 1 just due to the amount of members they had. I tell you about what was said at (4:01) RoT has always been a hated clan due to NHing and ragging clans on pk trips or in planned wars in f2p and p2p etc. they just had a lot of toxic members in general so people that played back then definitely viewed them in a bad light and could of called what was coming with them
They tried recruiting me back in the day when I was cleaning them up in PvP.. figured out I had a GF and wasn't a virgin and they got real hostile haha. Embarrassing people they are.
me and my friend way back in the day used to scam players' gp and sell it irl for thousands of US dollars, pretty sure he was one of the best scammers in runescape history. fun times
It's time Jagex allocate some real resources to fighting bots and cheaters. It's become such a running sick joke that a lot of people refuse to even touch the game because they see it as nothing more but a RWT market. This bad reputation will not improve until some real serious work is done about it.
Back in the day every clan used to ddos and cheat similarly vr, infliction, brutality, rsc, serenity, af and their respective teams rot just did it blatantly and consistently during tournaments i wouldnt be surprised if they werent the only ones attempting this behavior in the tournaments

ddosing and doxnig was huge during 2009-2012 clan era as well and not only from rot. people make a big deal about rot because of how public it is but there was plenty of clans doxing and ddosing years ago.
