Here's something we’ve never done before at Wheels - lived with a dual-cab ute as a long-termer. Separate chassis, live rear axle and a workhorse diesel engine are the order of the day for our Mazda BT-50. Toby Hagon reviews the Mazda BT-50 XTR in preparation for his greatest off-road challenge yet - The 2016 Finke Desert Race.
This is the video home of Wheels magazine, quite possibly the greatest motoring magazine in the world. Here you’ll find track tests, drag races, interviews and reviews of the world’s most exciting and exotic cars, plus the ones you drive every day. That means serious consumer advice as well as plenty of noise, smoke and fun.

I have one! Love it! A real workhorse, elegantly looking with a MOTOR! Not the little 4 bangers pumped up with all their bling bling and electronics, touchpads and egoboosters. Mine, a 2019, 3.2, 4x4, Auto and fully equipped. Never had an issue and paid US$ 29,900 out of the door at Mazda PH. Same truck or the equivalent Ranger costs you double in other Countries.

I think having the camera on the rear view mirror is a great idea, as your peripheral view is whole not looking down on the center console and not seeing the rest around you just like old day rear view mirror

Complaining how a ute designed to carry up to 1T, tow a shit T and go 4WD offroad drives while driving it empty on city roads great review.
If you wanted something comfortable to drive around the city carrying something occasionally buy a wagon.

Why is the usb port in the glove box a problem? Why can't you put your mobile to charge there? And why can't one stop the car to do that, why do it while driving? Some times I doubt where we as a race are heading to....

Reversing camera can be displayed on the centre console, as the Mazda dealers can do it here in nz

The vehicle they used in that race is almost a totally different vehicle engine transmission body wise

    Long term review my ass.
Absolutely nothing said about transmission or engine problems over the use of long-term use.

what really matters is how there going after 300k most off these utes fail in that regard engine and gear box rebuilds are expensive
