Angel Eyes would surely have been they're first top ten and would have went down as a classic....absolutely phenomenal !!!

@@joepipe1010 The "Pretty Woman" cover was another unnecessary move.

@@ytusersumone Pretty woman was a funny cover, realized for the chart like the Diver down album.
For me You really got me was a very important cover .

This is very good. Talent is talent and good riffs are good riffs. Should have released it.

Angel Eyes shoulda been on a B Side. Too bad it never got a chance to become a bonafide VH tune. Hell I was 9 years old when they recorded these. Been to the old house in Pasadena and could imagine these songs blazing down Crawford Alley in the day. God damn time.

      Only in the Glitter demos.

I've read that Anthony was in the band as far back as 72 so the Cherokee demos wouldn't be Stone.

    • @legatomisterioso7
      @legatomisterioso7 3 ปีที่แล้ว

The Glitter Demos are mark stone, but these (The Cherokee Demos) is the first demo they did with Mike as sort of an “audition” for him to be in the band.

Max Crook told me great stories about recording on Brian Hylands album produced by Del Shannon The Cherokee Ranch. Max told me he was getting his keys set up with he heard a funny sound coming through the phones and he and Del said, “what is that???” Finally Del went outside to see a horse peeing by an open door! Del came back said, “forget it Max… if he rides back up we’re giving him credit on the liner notes!” 😂

Before Ed was 20 he had written enough material, riffs and licks to last him the next 10+ yrs. The next 40 if you add the old songs in ADKOT.

  • @morganawood

That song was a work in progress that took a while. They had tons of material they never used. I have followed VH the whole way. Caint get enough of this kinda rare stuff. Too Kule

It would be a classic like Dream on of Aerosmith

Sadly, I believe we’ll have to wait until Eddie passes to hear his entire catalog of unreleased material done so by his son.

And there are literally HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS of songs that are Eddie's vault at 5150. There are at least 8 complete albums in the can that will probably never see the light of day.

Stony’s playing reminds me of Andy Fraser’s. In fact, the whole demo sounds like Free.

If they had released Angel Eyes, Dave wouldn't have been able to "skat"-sing it in later concerts.

change the title, there is no way this is May of 75. More than likely very early, Jan of 74. Stone is on these but was not with the band in May of 75

You're right. Some time ago we found out that these songs had actually been written and recorded between late '73 and early '74. We simply forgot to change the title. Thanks!
